The Ramayana is an ancient Indian Epic, which recounts Lord Rama's fourteen-year exile to the forest from the kingdom of Ayodhya along with his wife (Mother Sita) and his brother (Lakshmana). The central conflict is the kidnapping of his wife by the demon King of Lanka (Ravana), resulting in a great war between the forces of Good and Evil

Can someone please explain how, when, and where India and Thailand crossed paths to the point Thailand has their own version of the Ramayana?
Ok. So I have a doubt from many days in Ramayan. As we all know Ram was an human incarnation of Lord Vishnu and in this avatar he was a normal human being and was unaware of his original form unlike Krishan. This fact is also testified as only loophole in the boon granted to Ravan was that he could only be killed by a normal human being. Another argument in the favor is that in the end of Ramayan Kal came to Ram to remind him that his time and purpose on earth is fulfilled and he should return to Vakunth. But the scene where I just couldn't find a logic is when Lakshman got angry on Ram for demanding a agnipariksha of Sita and then Ram explain that he knew in advance that Sita would be captured by Ravan and the purpose for which he has taken birth is near so he gave Sita to Agni dev and in return took her shadow.
In this episode how can Ram a normal human being in his incarnation would know what will happen in future as he was no Brahma, no Krishna or no Vishnu.
If you know the logic or reason behind this tell me.
I need to learn about God Rama and acquire knowledge about everything. Can anyone please link which Ramayana book I should read ? Can you guys please link the book in comments, so that I can buy ? Thank you 😊
What are the benefits of Om Hanumate Namaha mantra?
One of my friends showed me this chapter and I was quite surprised as to how awfully detailed Hanumanji described Lord Ram and Lakshman to Sita Mata. Is it a mistake in translation or is it just like that??? If so, can anyone explain me as to why is that. I'm just curious and not trying to insult or offend anyone here.
Sita, the protagonist of the Ramayana, is admired for her courage, determination, and loyalty. Many lessons to be learned from her character are relevant even today. In this piece, we go into Sita's incredible journey and the timeless advice she gives. Sita's character offers a plethora of inspiration and wisdom for overcoming life's problems, from her steadfast loyalty and tenacity to her unflinching faith and selflessness. Here are some essential lessons to learn from Sita to enlighten your spiritual mind and groom your overall personality.
1. Dedication and Fidelity:
Sita's unshakable attachment to Lord Rama reminds them of the value of loyalty and dedication in marriage. Sita was persistent in her love and loyalty to Rama despite being separated from him during their exile, enduring incredible suffering, and being seduced by others. Her faithfulness is a powerful example of keeping promises and supporting loved ones regardless of the circumstances.

Urmila (Sister of Sita ) married Laxman when Rama married Sita. But when Rama, Sita and Laxman all went on exile, they left Urmila behind in Ayodhya. What happened to her for those 14 years and when they finally returned?

The Ramayana is a traditional Indian epic that depicts the life of the Hindu god Rama. It is one of the holiest books in Hinduism, and its teachings have shaped Indian society and culture for centuries. The Ramayana is an ancient epic with countless life lessons and truths worth discovering. Here we will delve into the secrets of Ramayana and uncover some of its hidden treasures.
1. Dharma's Crucial Role in Our Lives
Dharma, which means one's duty or proper path, is a major theme in the Ramayana. Lord Rama is the perfect embodiment of dharma; his life shows how vital it is to act morally. The Ramayana reminds us that no matter how dire the circumstances, we must always follow the road of good action and never give in to temptation.
2. The Role of Love in Life
The Ramayana is a touching tale of devotion and love between Rama and Sita, his wife. Their commitment to one another is unwavering, and they would risk anything to be together. True love, as exemplified by that between Lord Rama and Sita, is unselfish and can triumph over any obstacle.
There’s no religious text or scripture that is as deeply ingrained in the DNA of Indian culture as Ramayan. Literally translating to “The Journey of Ram”, Ramayan chronicles the life of Lord Ram – a life lived so exceptionally in alignment with discipline, righteousness, morals, and values, that it earned Lord Ram the title of Maryada Purushottam (The Man of Supreme Integrity). But sadly, time has eroded the significance that those values once commanded in our culture, leaving behind only stories and plays that fail to serve any deeper purpose than entertainment. Let us understand the signficance of Adhyatma Ramayana with Sri Guru.
With the Satsang series of Yogvashishta Maharamayan, Sri Guru’s vision is multifold – reviving the spiritual essence of Ramayan and its stories, reinstilling Lord Ram’s values in our culture, and showing us that they are not idealistic in nature or reserved only for Saints and Yogis. Rather, they are practically applicable principles that the modern world is in desperate need of. Why? Good question.
In today’s world, almost every individual is facing some grave challenges impacting their lives at four different levels:
The ancient Indian poet Valmiki, widely credited as the author of the Ramayana, is widely regarded as one of the greatest poets in Indian history. The Ramayana, which recounts the adventures of Rama and Sita, is largely regarded as a literary classic in India. The Ramayana was written by Valmiki, but this question is often raised as to why Valmiki wrote Ramayana. Here, we'll look at some of the hypotheses on what inspired Valmiki to pen the epic.
For starters, it helps to know the world in which Valmiki existed. According to Hindu lores, Valmiki lived during the Treta Yuga and was a contemporary of Rama. Since Valmiki lived in ancient times and there are no dependable historical documents from his era, we will never know when he was born. During the Treta Yuga, which is thought to have occurred more than 1.7 million years ago, Valmiki is reported to have lived. However, there is no clarity about the exact time of his existence due lack of modern evidence. Nevertheless, the Brahmin Valmiki was revered for his understanding of the Vedas. On the other hand, he had a reputation for being a brutal bandit and robber.
I searched and didn't find one. Thanks.
