yeah not movies not shows just simple comics why everytime I want to read something about the punisher it's either from the 90" or Max run or a few ones in the last decades and they were bad like he deserves so much more comics then this
This might be a stupid question, but how does Frank survive on a daily basis? Where and how does he live? How does he eat and look after himself? Where and how does he fix his injuries? Where does he get his finance, weaponry, tech, and info?
I haven't read his comics so I'm curious. TIA.
So i’m reading a little bit of Marvel Knights punisher by the legend Garth Ennis, but this art man… Makes me wanna drop it. Am i just being a b*tch? I feel like this artwork brings down the whole series. Am i missing something?
Remember Jensen R. Walker from Punisher, Spiderman and Daredevil comics
I’m thinking “Punisher: War Journal,” “Punisher: Max,” or maybe “Punisher: Welcome Back, Frank.”
Did anyone else find this reveal to be disappointing? He looks exactly the same. I was really hoping Frank properly disfigured him lol
Felt like showing my Punisher tattoo! Cheers guys 💀
I saw these 2 figures in the loose figure bin at my local nerdery yesterday afternoon. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better, so I snagged both of them. Now there’s a multiverse/crossover situation on my work desktop. Hope they can play nice together.
Diving back into Frank's world, but it's been 35 years and I have a lot of catching up to do. Thanks!
I love Thomas Jane and ray stevenson may he rest in peace and Jon bernthals portrayals of the punisher. I think each interpretation has something unique about it. My least favorite is dolphs version and let me tell you why no skull. Who ever decided not to put the skull on his shirt needs to be fired. It’s a random action hero movie not the punisher. Also living in the sewers and driving a motorcycle.
A few years ago there was a Marvel exhibit that was touring around museums. In addition to all the movie costumes and props, there was some nice original comic book art. This was the original Punisher drawing by John Romita. I doubt Romita knew Frank would still be popular 50 years later
I feel like he has more personality in these comics, and I like the art. I have read so far Welcome Back Frank, and also the 37 Issue run involving The Russian. Are there any more runs with that version of Frank?
Hi guys, so I'm not really a knowledgeable guy when it comes to this guy. I have a sort of love hate relationship with this character. I've seen the movies and show, and those I love. I do dig Frank, but I remember reading a story arc from venom called funeral pyre and it really soured how I viewed him.
There feels like there's no chance for redemption when it comes to him. It's become a point where I do love to hate him, but seeing as I don't really read his stories I have to ask do his own stories show him in a negative light as much as his guest appearances do?
So I was wondering if there is ever a mention on Frank’s effect on crime and if he reduces it or it doesn’t change at all and if there’s no mention, do you think realistically Frank would reduce the crime rate by making criminals fear him and killing as many as he can?
When I started reading comics, way back then, my uncle lent me some Punisher comics, and one of the stories stuck in my head.
Frank was after a criminal (I think it was a human trafficker) whose he only knew the last name. Somehow, Punisher finds out he's taking a bus trip, so Frank buys a ticket to try to find out who the guy was. Right at the beginning of the trip, an accident happens on the road and all the passengers fall into a cliff. From then on it becomes a story of survival (i remember having snow in it, but maybe its only a fake memory).
In the end, >!the Punisher discovers that a woman who was helping everyone was the one he was looking for and so he kills her.!<
Its an old comic, and I think I read it around 2015.
Been reading Punisher for a bit, I'd like a list of Punisher stories that you'd all recommend outside of MAX. Preferably something akin to Circle of Blood or some Ennis stories like Welcome Back, Frank.
A stupid thought that made me laugh.
What if Frank could pull off that kind of transformation with no mask? Like he perfectly adopts the posture and demeanor of a meek intern, sees a mugging and goes "this looks like a job for the punisher!" Then locks in and starts murdering people
It's becoming more and more common that alt right and white supremacist groups are adopting Frank Casltes skull as a hate symbol. Now Frank has always aimed his violence at drug dealer, gang bangers, white supremacists, nazis, and others that prey on the weak and citizens that can't do anything themselves including going to war with evil CEOs and politicians like The Kingpin etc etc.
Should marvel comics sue for defamation of the icon. One could think they could sue these companies who are printing these shirts and hats that have hate speech on them, but probably not those sporting officially licensed Marvel Punisher Wear with a marvel tag. At the very least they could sue the police departments that have adopted the symbol and put it on their cruisers.
Does anyone else share my sentiment that a character who's always sought to fight Evil men has been adopted by men that wish to do evil to others?
