TILE TOWN RAINE?!

A couple weeks back I finished owl house, my partner's just started it but the kid has already watched it, and there's one point that is interesting to think about, how did Liz use magic using edas palisman. I gave this question to the kid and his response (for the episode we were up to) made sense, palismans abilities are linked to the owner, so eda had magic hence Luz was able to use it, but in season 2 both eds and Lilith lost the magice yet could still use the palismans, I know the answer is palismans have their own magic but do they like read the intent of the person using them to know what to do

Never mind the title it's just an idea i had it's were a few of belos' followers try recreate him by using what was left of him after eda,king and raine stomped him into the ground and using the grimwalker formula creating a new being who I call pip and is trained him to kill luz and the gang but he meets and falls in love with luz and amity's daughter azura sorta like a kovu and kiara thing so kinda is like lion king 2 nobody has to take this seriously this just something I thought up

CONTEXT

so, i was bored and decided to hop back on AO3 for the first time in a few months to check out what new fanfics were on. i didn't think there were going to be any good fics but i found a few good ones and really got into a few of them. i decided to start writing a new fanfic, but i didn't really have any good ideas. so, i went on one of those "spin the wheel" websites and filled all the categories with different videogames/tv shows/movies.

i quite literally let a wheel decide what i was going to write.

i let the wheel pick three games/shows/movies for me to write into a crossover fanfic.

it picked the following:

- The Owl House (yayyy!!! i can totally work with this, i love this show!!)

- The Last Airbender (might need to rewatch the series, but otherwise an awesome pick!)

- Mortal Kombat

...

yeah this fic is gonna be absolute shit. i have to combine two kids shows with one of the goriest and mature video games of all time. wish me luck, i guess.

mainly Eda Hunter and Raine

Eda loses a frickin arm and it isn't really explored at all and Hunter and Raine end up with severe scarring over the faces and bodies yet this is only used for cheap in the moment types of storytelling rather than anything that actually gets explored

maybe to help dive into how the characters feel over these traumatic events but nope they are basically just used for different character designs and that's it, which is disappointing tbh and feels pretty shallow of the writers.

also there's Luz's tiny eyebrow scar which kinda baffles me tbh as its there its a design change the animators had to remember but its so tiny and pathetic it may as well not be there and again it doesn't serve a purpose

I could understand if Luz had a more noticeable scar that maybe served to remind her of helping Belos and tied in to her depression at the start of season 3 or something like that but that isn't really what happened so well its pretty pointless as well.

like I said it just feels a little cheap giving your characters major injuries that could effect you for life realistically both physically and psychologically only to not actually have them mean anything

aka not using them to explore your characters feelings more in depth or something like that, like Hunter's scars could have been used to represent some sorta ptsd over flapjacks death in the episode afterwards or something

maybe if he kept getting reminded of belos and his control over him or that dreadful night and it could have tied in to him learning to move past it

and Eda was literally given a life changing disability they could have explored this even a tiny bit in season 3 since she got it at the end of season 2 meaning they had a whole season they could have addressed this in.

but not doing anything with these things and just having them for cheap shock value and character design changes just rubs me the wrong way tbh and it kinda bugs me how this fandom lets the writers off the hook for this so easily.

I just landed from an United flight. I was scrolling through the shows and saw they had TOH season 3. While watching i noticed that a few scenes were missing and the entire season finale time-skip. This felt so weird. Does anyone why they did this?

Edit: i also wanted yo mention that the end credits just started rolling when Luz was on the cliff and said she lost the gliphs.
