Following the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, Beef, does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close -- especially his only daughter, Judy, whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy's older brother, Wolf, and his fiancé, Honeybee, her middle brother, Ham, and 10-year-old-going-on-50 little brother, Moon.

Ok so we are 10 episodes into season 4 and Judy hasn’t been on the roof talking to her imaginary best friend. I hope she makes an appearance. I have to admit season 4 has gone in depth a little more with a lot the other characters and Beef is dating and the addition of Aunt Dirt(rude) LOVE HER!! I’m missing the flirtationship with Beef and Alison also does Judy still have a job?
I ask since the cake day is listed as December 29th 2017, with is three years before the first episode even aired
I don't know how popular this opinion of mine is, but Season 3 is my favorite so far, probably just because I have the most fun with it
I dunno why honestly
She's introduced as kind of a prop for that 'Not now, Londra!' bit. And you think it's gonna be her whole deal but it's not. They don't even say it every time. It's more of a randomly sprinting gag than a running gag. But what if that's just her name?
Alaska's waaay up there. It's cold. It's isolated. A great place for weird shit to go down...Like a space cult (joined by Beef's parents) that's actually a front for government-funded time-travel experiments.
Fast-forward some years and now there's Londra...And then there's Not-Now Londra from the year 4732. She's displaced from time and if she ever meets her present self, catastrophic effects ensue. That's why they always yell out when they see her - to warn people nearby in case present-day Londra comes around.
And that's why the bunkers were built too. It isn't just ordinary 'meat waste' down there. It's the liquefied bodies of people who had the misfortune to cross both Londras at the same time. Even Lone Moose name is a codename. The moose is Londra - and the job is to keep her 'lone'. The whole of the town is just one big ongoing secret government op to keep the Londras from wreaking havoc. ...And also sometimes they develop like, physics-defying chairs and stuff.
I know it's just an animation error but it's so strange to look at lmao
I just caught up on The Great North's new season and am excited for the new Season 4 (Holding out hard that this show lasts either 9 or 10 seasons!)
Besides the Tobin-Shaws, Lone Moose is full of so many lovable characters! There's Delmer, Londra, Alyson, Jerry, Amelia, Kima, Gill, Bethany, Drama John, Crispin, Cheesecake, Kyle, Chiefs Edna and Elba, Bethany, Drama John, Russell, Henry, Quinn, their moms, and even characters not in Lone Moose like Brian and Becca!
So it wou,d be fantastic to start having more episodes about other characters on the show besides the main family. Maybe some episodes the family only gets the subplot or aren't there at all. Giving other characters spotlight once in a while is always a great way to show world-building!
Is how about it? Want to start seeing more characters besides the Tobin-Shaws get episodes?
I haven't had cable in years and I don't watch broadcast TV. There are multiple TV shows that have been on for a while that I'm not even aware of. I was perusing Hulu a couple days ago to find something to watch while I folded laundry. I started Krapopolis because of the listed voice actors and watched through all the available episodes. It then automatically started this show called The Great North. I was several episodes in and loving it before I realized it had started me on season 4. So like Vizzini said, I went back to the beginning.
I can't get enough. Loving every minute. I especially appreciate the musical bits and awesome outros. Currently watching the Tusk Johnson episode.
Thrilled to be along for the ride with y'all!
Hello all!
Just a quick introduction, I am a Great North fan by way of Bob’s Burgers. Love this show but like a lot of people probably I really gravitate to the episodes that have a little edginess to them. This episode qualifies and it is completely hilarious! Both the Beef getting marriage storyline, and the “SistersCon” MLM marketing storyline.

yay! we get 2 episodes, i don’t know how hollywood works but i’m happy for the extra treat
Every time I watch this episode it truly aggregates me.... I guess they did a great job with her character because she sucks butt.
Anyone got an idea when they will release Season 4 of The Great North on Disney+? Hulu is too expensive for me to subscribe but I really want to watch Season 4 now.
Thanks to those who will respond.
So I noticed they've changed the intro from season to season. The sasquatch changes color, the boat goes from needing the mighty Kathleen to in front, wolf and his fart joke shirts and they obviously change the name of the boat every show. Anything I'm missing?
I must've watched it when it came out but I swear it's life the first time. Such a cheesy/awesome love story.....
In S1E8 where Moon goes Bigfoot hunting, he finds something had triggered his trap that was big, opened the crackers, had human sized foot prints and brownish "fur"
We already know it wasn't Jerry as he says that in the episode and Moon leaves the episode believing in the magic of Bigfoot. I know we do get some fun little easter eggs of him hiding in episodes, but seeing as that's just for fans and not actually acknowledged cannon, this was just Aunt Dirt coming up from her bunker right?
I know it's most likely to be Beef just trying to keep his belief alive, the "fur" is almost identical to his hair color and he spends the whole episode talking about the childhood magic. This is just a fun head cannon that I like to believe in, it's been fun going back to the beginning and seeing odd things happen and then going "ooohh that was probably Dirt"
It was another close one, but "Curl Interrupted" got the most upvotes, so its eliminated.
Newbie here👋🏻 I couldn’t see any other posts about this, so I apologize if it has - I must be blind
I purchased The Great North S1-3 through my Amazon Prime account. I know there was a contract issue with the writer strike a while back, and it took a while for Amazon to release Bob Burgers S14 on Prime. I assumed TGN would go through something similar since they were Loren Bouchard’s show.
I see that S4 is available now on Prime, but I only have the option to buy one episode at a time (instead of the full season like I did 1-3).
Does anyone have insight on why this is? All my web searches haven’t turned up anything. Thanks for the info! I appreciate it!
Anyone else notice bigfoot casually walking in the bg of season3 ep 16 (Great Bus of Choir Adventure) while wolf and honeybee r trying get rocky out the outhouse??? (Approx, 18 min 51 secs)
I don’t know how anyone else is feeling but my partner and I absolutely loved seasons 1-3 but season 4 is becoming too overtly sexual and raunchy compared to the past few seasons. I fell in love with the show because it was so family friendly and wholesome, but now with the addition of aunt dirt as a full time character and the sexually suggestive scenes it feels like it’s trying to be every other fox animated show. The subtlety and the innocence of the sexual jokes in seasons 1-3 was so much more enjoyable than just being so aggressive with it.
