Hello! I've been actively exploring abandoned gold/silver mines for a few years in my local area, however, I've just recently found out about radon and how it accumulates in unventilated adits. Do you guys think that abandoned gold mines from 18th century that are somewhat ventilated have okay-ish levels of radon? Should I be worried about radon when exploring? Do you take any safety precautions regarding radon? Thanks!
This mine was amazing. Big enough for a road to haul out the material. Probably last worked in the 90s.
I can't remember which mine this was, but it was very wet and a few dams holding back columns of perfectly still water.
Found an entrance via a manhole cover to take a look inside. I didn't went very far inside, but I will probably post an update this weekend.
