Think of everything that man has been through: war, brainwashed into killing many innocent people, physical and mental abuse for over 70 years, his ride or die best friend left him for a girl he knew for less than a year. He lost literally everything and everyone. At the beginning of the show the only “friend” he had was Sam and friend is a generous word. No one truly knew him, and if he died no one would really care. I could not think of a worse trauma to subject onto a person, yet the only symptoms he seemed to have were nightmares? The only time Bucky ever cried was when he was free from brainwashing. I get Marvel can’t get too dark because of the PG-13 rating but c’mon they could have done way better. Riley had a full blown panic attack in inside out 2 from the fear of not making the hockey team but Bucky only gets nightmares from decades of complex trauma? It doesn’t make any sense. To be honest I think it boils down to the patriarchy. Marvel wants to seem “woke” but they don’t won’t ever truly challenge the status quo, the only thing that matters to them is the $$. Bucky being mentally unstable would challenge the stereotypes of men being strong. It’s the same reason they’ll never make him or some other main character queer. It would be too much of a risk for their profit margin. It’s a shame.
He's definitely one of my favorites yet I still don't think I fully understand him.
Cause it's like I dislike him... But like him at the same time.
He's hateable but a little sympathetic as well?
I was thinking about Bucky today and I noticed there's something on the back of his hand that looks like a drip in some scenes, which made me wonder... Do we think HYDRA fed him actual food or.....?
I just finished Falcon ( Captain America) and the WS.....A couple questions...
So where is senior Steve Rogers? So the show picks up after Endgame where Steve had gone back in time and then aged up to meet up with Sam and Bucky. But they never showed him dying, did they? They say several times in the series that Steve is gone. I mean older Agent Carter got a funeral in Civil War. Shouldn't we be told that their best friend died?
What happened to that remaining vial of Super Soldier Serum that Walker grabbed? He pocketed it but they don't ever show it again, do they? It seemed he was going to give it to his buddy before he got killed.
Loved it, should have watched it ages ago lol gave a lot of the same vibes as winter soldier and a little bit of the boys with how John was handled which was great
They went into so much more detail with Bucky and Sam it was very much appreciated
Was so glad when Karli was killed, she was alright at first but didn't like the character that much by the end, going to far but that was the character arc TBF, the actress was damn good
Also a good twist reveal of the Power Broker
10/10 loved the directing also
