Hi Folks
I’m hoping you can help me find a book written by Jean-Pierre Talbot, the actor who portrayed Tintin. The book is titled J'étais Tintin au cinéma...
I came across it on Amazon priced at $250, but that seems quite steep, and I’m not sure if it’s a legitimate listing. I’m looking to buy it as a gift for an upcoming birthday, so it’s a bit time-sensitive.
If anyone knows where I could purchase this book at a reasonable price or from a trusted seller, I’d greatly appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.
Mine would probably be about Kashmir cuz that’s where I was born and it’d be cool to introduce another culture. Probably not gonna make sense lore wise LOL
How did I never think to look for a Tintin subreddit before? Such an amazing marker of my childhood, especially Summers at the beach where the local bookstore always had a full stock! In my 6th decade on the planet, I still grab one off the shelf and give it a read.
Following on from my previous post where the Tintin app was not supported by Android 14, the app has now been fixed . Yay I thought.. maybe they will have added some new content like that on the iOS app…
Nope absolutely nothing has been updated (in over 2 years!!!), no new content, the same limited range of languages etc. So I contacted Tintinimaginatio to essentially be told the Android app will not be updated the same as the iOS app and won’t get the same content .. brilliant :/
You can’t even migrate your purchases on your Tintin account over to iOS as it is unsupported and I would have to be buy the whole collection again.
When companies act like this I can almost understand why piracy is so prolific.
I've seen a few of the covers online and I love seeing new Herge drawings of the Tintin characters. Does anyone know where I can find all of them collected?
In the 2011 movie, how high must have Captain Haddock’s BAC been in order to restart the plane engine with his burp? This thought has been bothering me all day.
I remember the excitement of seeing a flash of colour In the section where they were kept, and excitedly pulling it out of the shelf to see which one it was. Bit of a lottery but loved the experience !
Edit: despite being able to afford them today, would it be weird to only get them out of the library for the kids in the same way ?
Hi ! I’d like to gift a Tintin album to someone who has never read any of them, though he has seen the 2011 movie. Which album would you recommend as a great introduction?
NB: Idk if Tintin translations are different in Anglo-Saxon countries but I would prefer a British English translation. (I know for Astérix British English and US English are quite different in humour)
So I was watching a video on samples used by J Cole on his album 2014 Forest Hill drive and the song "Apparently" was sampled from this, and it immediately sounded super familiar... I'm not alone in this, am I?
My dad and I have been collecting Tintin comics since I was a kid, and we were wondering where we could buy softcover from Egmont in Europe. We need Tintin and the Alph-art, Tintin and the picaros and Tintin in the congo.
Any information would be really helpful, thank you in advance .
I have a hard time picking between two different complete Tintin collections. One of them is more like a real book that looks compact and is smaller on the length. I think it could be great for when I travel because it’s easier to bring with me and fit in to bags. I have heard some bad reviews about that the pictures is smaller and the font to, but I don’t think that will bother me to much.
Then we have the other option which is to go for the original dimensions, the upside with that is that the pictures are larger and it’s the original. But I’m probably not gonna be able to take them with me to travel because of their size.
Both of the collections includes the same amount of books only missing one which is Tintin in Congo probably because of racism.
Thank you for reading I excuse my bad English I’m only 14 and from Sweden so still working on it!
