I remember the excitement of seeing a flash of colour In the section where they were kept, and excitedly pulling it out of the shelf to see which one it was. Bit of a lottery but loved the experience !
Edit: despite being able to afford them today, would it be weird to only get them out of the library for the kids in the same way ?
Hi ! I’d like to gift a Tintin album to someone who has never read any of them, though he has seen the 2011 movie. Which album would you recommend as a great introduction?
NB: Idk if Tintin translations are different in Anglo-Saxon countries but I would prefer a British English translation. (I know for Astérix British English and US English are quite different in humour)
So I was watching a video on samples used by J Cole on his album 2014 Forest Hill drive and the song "Apparently" was sampled from this, and it immediately sounded super familiar... I'm not alone in this, am I?
My dad and I have been collecting Tintin comics since I was a kid, and we were wondering where we could buy softcover from Egmont in Europe. We need Tintin and the Alph-art, Tintin and the picaros and Tintin in the congo.
Any information would be really helpful, thank you in advance .
I have a hard time picking between two different complete Tintin collections. One of them is more like a real book that looks compact and is smaller on the length. I think it could be great for when I travel because it’s easier to bring with me and fit in to bags. I have heard some bad reviews about that the pictures is smaller and the font to, but I don’t think that will bother me to much.
Then we have the other option which is to go for the original dimensions, the upside with that is that the pictures are larger and it’s the original. But I’m probably not gonna be able to take them with me to travel because of their size.
Both of the collections includes the same amount of books only missing one which is Tintin in Congo probably because of racism.
Thank you for reading I excuse my bad English I’m only 14 and from Sweden so still working on it!
If there is, can you post it here?
Hi guys does Egmont use fan favourite Hyslop fonts in the bubbles?
I think that these printings could be from within past few years.
I’ve just heard about this series that goes into the production of each tintin album and id love to buy them but I can only find it in French, does anyone know if they’re are/ are going to be released in English?
