I’m a first year (freshman) Honors college student. Is having an honors advising appointment a hold on registration or is that just optional? Also, what’s the survey we have to take or else it’ll be a hold? The registration site is down for me so i’m unable to check.

Are there any writing clubs on campus? I checked TechConnect but I didn’t see any.

My daughter is a freshman, both my wife and I graduated from TTU so we knew the area well but I’m curious what people think about the Tech Terrace area to purchase a house and then rent it to my daughter and 2-3 roommates. I’m not looking to make money, just hoping to not lose as much if she just rents for three years. Thinking of a 3-4 bd rm, 2 bath.

What would you consider a good deal on rent and is this a more desirable area than a new apartment further out for students? There’s a good chance my son attends in a few year’s too. Any other advice appreciated.

Does anyone know how often they check the Communter West Parking lots? I do not have a parking pass, and do not think they are selling Commuter Parking Passes anymore. If I park in one of the Commuter West lots, what are the odds I do not get a ticket?

Im a Sophomore ME student and my roommate sucks. At first it was bearable but I’m at the end of my rope. He’s never cleaned his side of the room but I often let it slide bc it’s contained to that side. He thinks we share a fridge and trashcan even though he’s contributed to neither. He has gone through my closet to take water and trash bags without asking, and today he let his drunk friend stay the night while he went off somewhere else, and he threw up in my trash can. I’m guessing bc I didn’t freak out when he allowed him to sleepover before when he was too drunk to go home, but the only reason I did that was bc my roommate was there. Btw the friend is still in my room as we speak. I’ve alr resolved to talk with him and ban his friend from sleeping over(and maybe entering the room at all), but I’m bad with confrontation so I haven’t kicked him out yet but if he’s here when i get back from class I might lose it. Should I kick him out now or wait till my roommate gets back?

We are looking for a 3-bedroom option at the Republic for the month of July and were wanting to sublet as we will be attending the HSC and need an earlier move-in time as the semester starts in July, but the Republic is not guaranteeing an earlier move-in time.
