Conservative areas between San antonio and Austin

My wife and I are moving from Texas (I am from Schertz) but it's been a while. What are some of the best areas to live where people tend to lean right?

Texas 529 Plan Questions

  1. Has anyone used this for their children to go to school on?
  2. Did the plan do what is intended?
  3. I'm looking over it for my youngest (my older two go to college with VA & Texas state benefits), but have concerns over this paragraph:

CONTRACTS NOT INSURED OR GUARANTEED

A contract could lose money, including the amount contributed. No part of a contract is a deposit or obligation of, or is guaranteed or insured by, the board, the state of Texas, or any agency or agent thereof. Plan contracts have not been registered with or approved by the U.S.

Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") or with any state. Purchasers should carefully consider the objectives, risks, fees, charges, and expenses associated with the plan. The board may suspend, modify, or terminate the plan at any time and without the consent of purchasers or beneficiaries.

In the history of government, things can change over night. Put thousands of dollars into what basically amounts to a savings plan for college that can be wiped out seems a little reckless.

Am I overthinking it?

Texas House Needs a High Colonic

I count 36 stools that should be flushed come next primary. Continuing Phelan’s inexcusable practice of putting Dems in committee chair positions just thwarts the Republican Party agenda items the people have voted for.

Thoughts on the Caitlyn Clark Stalker? How common is this?

I know that there are weirdos everywhere but genuinely as someone who’s trying to leave Commiefornia for a better, safer, more conservative life for my daughters.. how worried should I be about stuff like this? Obviously I’ll always have to keep a watchful eye on all my children. But for myself who’s specifically looking to relocate to the North Fort Worth area how common is this? Is weirdos like this something we’re seeing a lot more of or is this just a one off? Maybe this question is a bit of an odd one, but it just sucks when I see negative news towards the area I’m looking to move my family too.

This is why I was never in favor of all these companies moving here, we are now importi.g foreigners into Texas while srewing over Texans. I'd rather be a mostly ranching and agricultural state if it meant protecting our Texian and Tejano culture

State funded child abuse…

“In the 34 months between September 2021 and July 2024, there were 6,888 reports of sexual and violent misconduct by taxpayer-funded school employees perpetrated on students in Texas…”

Of the 1,028 reports of in-school employee-on-student sexual misconduct, 73% went uninvestigated by the TEA, which claims it lacks the resources.

Of the 1,412 school employees accused of an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student, 14% were allowed to surrender their licenses instead of having them revoked, avoiding placement on the state Do Not Hire Registry.

Do you think democrats should accept the fact that Texas isn’t gonna flip blue for a long period of time?

This recent past’s elections democrats have been saying that Texas was gonna flip blue after Cruz bet Beto in the senate race by 2% in 2018 and Trump won Texas by 6%. But when the democrats decided to open their mouths about it Cruz won the election better than ever by 9% and Trump flipping multiple counties winning the state by 14%. Do you think democrats need to realise that they’re not gonna win Texas for a long time or not even in a million years?
