A great place for wayfarers from the cities of Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas to talk about our great city

Hello? My husband is starting up his new company in TXK. We created a Fb page called TXK Pro Carpentry & Construction. How many people in the area do you know that's needing some work done on their house? He can do electrical, plumbing, paint, remodel and more.
Looking for a good therapist in the area. It's probably past time to talk to someone about some stuff but I'm really hesitant to try. Who have you had success with?
Hi! I just moved from Japan to here! Trying to find someone who’s willing to study the Japanese language even mandarin, I made a fb group called Texarkana Japanese study feel free to join! I’m thinking about holding study corner too!
I’ve inherited my father’s coin collection and am somewhat lost. I have questions and looking for someone with the answers. I mean about the coins and not my Dad’s death.
As the title says. My husband is retiring next year in June after 21 years in the Air Force and he keeps saying Texarkana is on his mind as a possibility. We're looking for a small to mid size town. He's worked logistics his entire career and has a Master's degree. Is the job market okay? How is crime there? Are the schools decent? We have a high schooler and a middle schooler. Any areas around Texarkana that are good? We don't mind commutes up to like 30 mins or so.
I read previous posts, but they are all older and I was hoping for anything updated. So sorry for the excessive questions. We've just always lived where the military told us to and we kind of just adapted to it. Everywhere we've lived the schools were abysmal (like Las Vegas, and Clovis NM were just AWFUL) Now, we have a choice and it's so stressful. TIA for any info!!
I’m in town for a bit working so wanted to ask the locals where all the good restaurants are. I literally love anything. Bbq to Indian to breakfast cafes. Lay em on me. Just got to town and I’m starving.
Hey reddit, I'm heading to texarkana to work at the Red River Army base in 2 weeks. I'll be there for quite a while. 1.5 years minimum. Probably longer because there's tons of USACE jobs in that base going out for bid in the near future.
I'll be living in my travel trailer. I see that there are a pretty good number of campgrounds in the area....
Which one(s) have you been to? Which ones do you like? Which ones did you hate?
Also, who has the best BBQ in town?
Thanks!
I live outside of Texarkana and work as a custodian at a high school. It's no good and its time to change.Did y'all physically go to an establishment or is the Internet the way to find work these days? Also anyone know who is hiring? Thanks for any tips.
Does anybody have verizon home internet and if so how is it?? Getting rid of kinetic because the service is awful and I can bundle verizon with my phone service. Kinetic goes on and off too much and lags terribly. Is verizon any better???
If I pay someone what Lyft quoted can someone come pick me and my fiance up and take us to smackover AR, Lyft quoted $160.50.
Is there someone in Texarkana that can accept my Lyft I've been waiting for damn near an hour now.
I am 19M coming from Perth Australia and I am going to visit family for a month in Texarkana with my dad who is going to let me do whatever I want. What is there to do I will obviously be visiting the city centre or downtown as it is called for it is the soul of every city.
I'll be in Texarkana for work in a few weeks and have a love for karaoke but have never been able to find a place to sing!!!! Haha
Not sure if this sort of post is allowed but myself and a local group have began developing a community for adult gamers ( table top, TCG, and video game ) that have trouble finding other adult gamers to group up online and offline with due to having busy adult lives. We are in towns across Arkansas and are expanding into Texarkana. We can't all spend 6+ hours a day online. Our community understands that gaming might mean an hour or two on a Tuesday night. We have a subreddit, website, etc. . We are only a couple days old and are looking for early adopters . Thanks all! r/RazorbackGaming
We are considering a move to the area and the education environment is highly important for us. We have a 10-year-old high functioning autistic child (level 2). Would be interested in hearing from other parents with special needs students how their experience with the schools have been.
Are there any good spots where a mid-30's guy can go Swimming for an afternoon and not seem weird. Preferably outside. I can't afford a pool.
Mechanics and Personal trainers please DM me.
How’s the new racetrac gas station on 59 and Kings highway in LE? Haven’t gotten a chance to get there but heard good things. I’ve seen a lot of people bragging about their food. Pizza and wings? Like a mango habanero wing flavor? Yummy
Looks like the Texas side of Texarkana has most of the stores and things to do. Is it better for renting? Any areas that could be safe, close to stores, etc.
Anyone know of any crafting groups? I knit and the only group I've found is at the library on Mondays from 2-4. I work full time so that wouldn't work for me. Any other working crafty people interested in creating an afterwork crafting group?
Made these awhile back, suggestions? Let me know. Enjoy!

My small family & I are moving to the redwater area (I know technically not Texarkana, but my in laws live in Texarkana and we will be about 15mins away) and I’m looking for fun family things & places we can go! This includes parks and events! We will be moving at the end of July or early August. I’d also love recommendations for pediatricians & pediatric dentists, if anyone has any. & a primary care for myself and my husband.
So I never been there but will be living there the 9th next month on the Arkansas side how is it there is there uber ? How is walking there I don’t drive
Are there any combat sports gyms like boxing, jiu-jitsu, or mma or whatever open on Sundays around here? It's the only day i have off and the times i work are entirely in the way of me going to the gyms i onow of so far. Any advice will be appreciated.
Created with the intention of connecting local musicians and artists, giving them a space to share events, works, and possibly collaborate.
Also for anyone interested in local music and art, or just looking to meet and hang out with peeps here in the Texarkana/Ark-La-Tex area.
Still in the developmental stages, name will change once we figure out a good one.

Hey there! I’m seeking someone willing to send a picture of a headstone at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens in Texarkana/Nash.
We buried my great grandmother 2 years ago, and my family and I were excited to travel back this spring to see the burial site. After driving up from Austin we saw she still did not have her date plates installed on the headstone. My family was pretty shook up about this; so I reached out and got the date plates added to the tune of $500. We would love a picture of the headstone with the date plates installed so we can show her friends and extended family.
Thanks so much in advance. If you are willing to help, please shoot me a DM and I can give you her name and the location of the headstone.
Update: Thanks everyone for being so kind and willing to help. I have arranged with a user to have get a picture this Wednesday. I’ll be sure to reach out if anything falls through for whatever reason. Again, thank you all for your willingness to help out!
Update 2: Second edit, the person who I had lined up had something come up. If there is anyone available to take the picture I’d surely appreciate it. I can send a map screen shoot of roughly where she’s buried. Thanks so much in advance.
Update 3: After an awesome response and a lot of help we got the picture! There are still no dates on the headstone. I called and they said they could be on back-order for about a year. Seems a bit suspicious. We’ll have to continue to check with them monthly until this gets sorted out. Thanks for the help everyone!
Wanting to donate professional women’s clothing, is there any organizations in the area that do that?
