4. Mark spoilers

5. Limit self-promotion
- Sharing of your own content is allowed, but it must follow the reddit self-promotion rules.
6. Failure to provide proper attribution
All builds/art/memes/etc. should be your own. Please make every effort to find the original author of a work, such as by reverse image searching. Reposting is acceptable, but you must provide proper attribution to the original artist, for instance by linking to the original or mentioning the user in a comment. If you cannot properly source a creation, you must still indicate that it is not your own.
Moderator discretion will be used to determine if there are any legitimately high-effort exceptions to this rule (i.e. Detailed post about things that might be included in a future patch)
7. No begging, trading, or baiting for copies of the game.
- This does not apply to in-game items! It only applies to items of real world monetary value.
- Do not beg for a copy of the game.
- Do not offer to trade for a copy of the game.
- Do not bait people into asking for a copy of the game (e.g. saying that you have an extra copy of the game).
- Giveaways are allowed but must follow the rules defined here
8. No low quality/effort submissions
No low quality/effort submissions. This means a post with one sentence in the body is not acceptable. Quality of the post will be determined by moderator discretion.
Posts about playtime and achievements will be removed.
Polls on frequently asked subjects (which class, which boss is easiest/hardest, etc.) will be removed.

9. No memes outside of weekends
- Memes are allowed only during weekends. Check the rules page for the exact timing.
10. No duplicate posts
- Please search the subreddit before posting, to avoid regularly asked questions and topics.
- For submissions such as Tweets or blog posts duplicates will be removed, preserving the earliest.
- The decision on whether to keep a later post or to make a new one if it has a more appropriate or better title is at the discretion of the moderators.
11. No piracy links or requests
- Discussion of piracy is allowed, however encouraging and giving information on how to pirate the game will not be tolerated.
- Anyone who provides links to pirated copies of the game will be banned immediately, without warning.
- Asking for support with a pirated copy of the game (including multiplayer, getting updates, etc.) is also strictly not allowed.
12. No game help question posts
- Easily answered game related questions should be asked within the current Weekly questions thread which can be found as the top pinned post of the Subreddit.
- Questions that require an image (like Technical game issues/In-game housing) are an exception.
- At times when there is no current Weekly Question thread users are permitted to make a separate post.

Looking for an active co-op in a fresh Expert HM world!
Basically i started this coop with a guy, but honestly he's a shit coop. VCs with other ppl while we're playing, but nah doesnt wanna vc with me, "never has time", we book as set time but nah hes playing fortnite now even though we booked it in advance like 24h, And always leaves me on "read", not even a "ok" or smth. Feels like im talking to a wall and its very frustrating.
We got to HM, only beat Queen Slime so far, once. He was active preHM but suddenly dropped off the map.
Looking for an active Coop, preferably CEST based (Europe) since if time zones don't match its gonna be hard to coordinate. And generally active.

About to play again and got some questions
Hi guys
I already finished the game two years ago and I pretty much forgot everything. I've got some specific question and things I'm looking for.
First is a guide with best gear for each "class" by boss beaten. I was using a gdoc at the time (don't know if there's better) and I can't find it anymore, if any of you got it.
Second is your recommandation for mods. The game is already great but maybe there's mod making it even better or extending it nicely.
Finally, do you think that melee and mages are good ? I was an archer the last time and it really feel like it was way better than the rest.

The final 1%
Dunno if this should be spoilered but oh well.
So, I recently spent multiple hours to contain and purify the entire hardmode crimson but when I talked to the dryad there was 1% left which made me run around the world like a maniac with biome sight potions in hand for a few more hours, driving me crazy, until i zoomed out on the map and found that my SKY ISLAND was crimson.
Needless to say, I need a break from this game.
(Main mod used is Thorium for those who are curious)

TModLoader wont open with sound devices connected
Whenever I try launch tmodloader with any playback devices enabled (via sound manager) the game wont open and immediately crash. Vanilla terraria still works. Ive checked all my drivers, uninstalled, removed all my mods, updated windows, checked my audio quality settings but nothing works other than disabling audio devices all together, which then makes the game totally mute even if I re-enable my devices.

One of my characters only has 2 character files for some reason, and the game doesnt launch with them. Is there any way to get them back?
Basicly, ive recently upgraded to a new pc, as such ive sent myself my entire terraria file to save my characters. whilst nearly every single one works fine, except for some reason, theres just two files on one of my characters, Instead of 4. Is there any way to save this character? Whilst the terraria files on my last pc were already deleted, if i download tmodloader on my last pc's steam, would it recreate the character? (for context, these are tmodloader characters.)

I just wanna ask if hoik can displace enemies that can get through walls like glossy, ghost, wraith.

Going to play calamity for the first time, any other mods I should add with it?
Are there any other mods i should add to the calamity mod that overall improves the balance, gameplay or QOL for calamity?
Mods that are a cool add on with calamity are also appreciated, whether that be cooler animations, more npcs, shaders etc.

Are whips good outside of summoner?
Im in expert right now, and i just got a frost core. I dont really have much use for it since im mainly going for defence right now ( i already made a frost breastplate ). I wanted to craft the cool whip, but is it useful if im not doing a summoner build? Im doing mixed currently whilst using ranged emblem since dart pistol.

what are some small changes you would like to see
for me i think it would be nice if the gem staves and gem robes cost less gems to craft
i started a new playthrough again and was thinking about how i almost never craft the early gem staves or any gem staff and i rarely craft the gem robes either
not only are they quite weak, by the time i get enough gems to craft them i am already far enough in the game to get meteor armor usually
in my current game im making my way towards the eater of worlds and i have only 1 ruby 5 sapphire, 11 topaz and 6 amethyst (and i dont have tin in my world)
and the topaz staff seems hardly better than the wand of sparking anyway based on the stats
this is has always been a bit disappointing for the mage progression imo, since it feels like the staves should be your go to first magic weapon to craft and upgrade during the first stage of the game
i think it would be nice if they cost at least half as much gems, 4 for the staves and 5 for the robes
that aside another small thing id like would be for the slime staff to be part of the king slime drop pool, it would give one more reason to fight him early if you want a summon weapon
well feel free to disagree, i would also be interested in what other people would want
