Terra Nova Files- La Brea special

Note- this is a response on what La Brea could've been if it had been more about paleoecology drama learning to leave harmony with nature. Desert tribes domesticated camels, plain tribes tame paleo-horses and have complex relationships with dire wolves. Eastern tribes have kin relationships with ground sloths along the way. Of course, with specific preference, my Terra Nova AU focuses on the animals' spec evo that we are familiar with other files to the continent of North America.

Like my complaints with Terra Nova, I prefer a more animal-centric story for example it is more palatable if La Brea is more like Heartland meets Ice Age. That's just my humble opinion

With animals from previous files, some animals from my other files are extended-

-Pteroquetzal habitat is extended to Mesoamerica- don't worry there is no human sacrifice as the sun/ storm god only eats carrion and fish.

-Mud salmon coelacanth in the Mississippi basin which gets fished by native tribes, Xinathodon the saw-tooth fish at coastal areas of the Caribbean.

-Southern iguana [Argentinosaurus] in central America with more pronounced scutes to defend from Gorosaurus glavenus. With the appearance, it inspired the feathered serpent quetzalcoatlus.

-Limnorhynchus- Marsh beaks in marshes around Missipi delta

-Mud demons (Cryptobranchus diplovenator) in tropical Central America and the cave system of the Caribbean inspiring legend of gatekeepers of the underworld

-Duncklesaurus dentra an armored mosasaur is at the Mississippi Delta

-Crested-like synapsid thrives in the Rocky Mountains and Canada [called Acrocathonops], there are variations of South America ones that possess a Parasaurolophus-like crest.

-Gorosaurus glavenus is the dominant predator of North America that extended from Central America to the Great Plains and is a sacred animal to the California region where La Brea took place.

-Then the variant of Slashers is similar to the Terra Nova file but Great Plains ones convergent and evolved to resemble dogs [smooth silky skin, floppy frill that resembled ears and males have double crest] and have single claws in forearms. While Great Basin variants have a double crest and feathers, giving a similar appearance to dilophosaurus. https://www.reddit.com/r/terranova/comments/1eze5io/terra_nova_files_a_soldiers_best_friend/

A similar Great Mother deer religion was believed in the East-coast communities and Great Basin but the difference is the birth mother of all animals provides the native communities

Without further ado, there is a sweet file from a native named Eve,

I was galloping with my Slasher in the mountain terrain that they called the Great Basin. I heard that their wonderful creatures beyond the mountains and scourching deserts. A paradise with most unimaginable animals from created storks to walking fish. How I thankful to Great Deer. The Rocky Mountains are my home even their are crested bears glowing bio-lumance is great that we can tell when to escape.

As long I have a Glavenus talisman as is a sacred animal of courage, I dream that one day I can tame such a beautiful animal. I heard a cougar spirit called Great Fire as lived in a desert preventing anyone unlikely to get across. I'll accept that challenge as no lions (cougars) scare me. I heard is covered in feathers and has a sail on its back, the most beautiful thing is it glows bright blue at the darkest night- deadly but lovely.

diffrent species of croc-puma that unlike south american cousins, is desert dwelling

Later My slasher felt tired as he was chasing giant armadillos [Glyptodons] all day. But like desert turquoise traders said I should follow the camel trail to the east to avoid danger. I heard stories about gentle giants that are deeply revered. They are called gentle ones as there like bears bute at mostly plants. They are decorated with branched horns but villagers decorated with elk antlers as gratitude to Great deer for harvest

Diffrent genus than the South america marhland ones

I managed to brave the harsh desert with its vast plains and what kind of secret they had there. Horse nomads have a deep connection to the very animal that thrived in there.

The horse people told me about a great flyer that I should gain wisdom to get through alive as is a deeply respected flyer.

    Species- Dimodactylus seregios

    Size- 15 ft

    Habitat- Great Plains

    Diet- Carrion and small animals

Behavior- docile but territorial if provoked

Fun Fact- It snatches its prey by ambush from above

    last shadow

After weeks train by horse people I faced time-traveling poachers [Phoenix Corp] that I fought off thanks to my trusty slasher til I bonded with a glavenus, first I was blessed til I was injured by injuries. The medicine man nursed her back to health but was scarred from the poacher's sting. I heard of legends of animals that once roamed plains from massive spikey armadillos [kyntrosaurus], to deers with bow-like antlers [parasoluphus]. Then the chief explains stories about dire wolves but they are not such dire wolves- Golden wolves that have pronounced tusk-like teeth and have a sail that glows in the dark Scientists called it- Megalocevia or mega-gorgonops but all we know existence are fossiles.

The most fascinating animal is the shovel bison as, unlike bison that typically hunted this are domesticated through their gentle nature as well as helping gather the harvest.

    where the buffalo roam

    Species Name- Shovel bison (Lystroeiniaceratops)

    Size- same as bison

    Diet- Browsers

Habitat- Great Plains, Canadian forest, and eastern forest

Fun Fact- totem animals of the Great Plains as bison are deeply respected but these 'buffalos' are pets, horn gathering and help plow for harvest

After venturing to the Great Plains, I found what legend promised about the Great River (Mississippi River basin) as filled with Marsh wings. Then I stayed at the Bear Clan- antlered bears are deeply referred to in the eastern forest as there friendly people as they'll taught me about gentle giants.

    Species name- moose-bear

    Size- moose-size

    Diet- omnivore

Habitat- East forest and Canadian forest

Fun Fact- People collect their antlers to offered to ground sloth to get blessing fro Deer Mother

    https://preview.redd.it/t97gh2dvvhxd1.png?width=207&format=png&auto=webp&s=54fe3d246768d7dd8b3171b53c708e9128e0ba40

WTF is up with the deleted scenes

OK so I have been a fan of the show for quite a while. I decided to get the dvd's because I have been having a desire to physically have the movies and shows that I love when possible so that maybe I can rely on streaming services a bit less.

I always liked how innocent Maddie and Reynold's little courtship was then when I put the dvd on I decided to watch the deleted scenes and a few scenes were like good thing that one isn't in the show and oh you know that scene's context would have been useful and then there was the scene >!in which Reynolds basically outted himself as a sixer sympathizer and threatened Jim and I was like woah what happened there.!<

Terra Nova files AU- Rainforest and mythology

Zoey Shannon's note,' With many creatures hiding in the Amazon Rainforest to escape the wrath of Croc-pumas and crested-bears. Amazon is a haven for marsh beaks, bat-like Secodontognathus. Mud salmon are a prime source of food.

We Terra Novans are founded here as we are blessed by Great Mother Deer, who gave us a gift to bond between us and dinosaurs. We hailed great deer to defend us from Pheonix Corp- even these demons are mere stories.

I loved my turbo compies and my swamp ones too as their my fav animals on the continent, as I ventured to the sacred ruins I found our sacred totem animal- Ankyntrosaur ventured into the forest of Amazon as browsers.

    Amazon- home of mighty dinos

Species name- Ankyntrosaur [sacred animal- Terra Novians call them Armordons]

    Size- 20 ft

    Habitat- Forest

Diet- browsers that feed on fruits, twigs, samplings, nuts, etc.

Behavior- territorial if provoked but they are gentle giants

Fun fact- they are empathic animals as they remember the people who lived here.

The forest is filled with wonders as there are great secrets like cenotes that Terra Novian believed that Skull Devil-like beings lived down there. The legends claim that their massive salamanders with the size of Southern iguanas- argentinosaurus-like sauropods.

Taylor's note- all we find down there are mud demons salamanders that are the size of my thick arms. Unfortunately, croc-pumas take refuge on cenotes through their all-terrain lifestyle.

Josh Shannon- With rivers filled with mud salmon to feed our people as we pleased the Great Caiman- Oxalaia our fertilizer god or scientist called- *Spinonyx purrolyth '*spikey claw gore'. It even sends river flow downstream to the kentrodon-bonehead dinos raised for their dome [removed harmlessly] farms.

    memeries of old earth

Species name-Spinonyx purrolyth Oxalaia the Great Mother Caimen

    Size- 45ft

    Habitat- Amazon River Basin

Food- pescetarian as they feed on fish, sometimes unlucky kentrodon, and young southern iguanas [rumor]

Behavior- despite their size their very patient as they save people from drowning and help fishermen harvest goods. (basically Shamu)

Fun facts- they detect food with the 6th sense that scans for electromagnetic field

Skye Tate 'Bucket' One of the most interesting things is a legend among the skies especially one that hails from the Andes mountains at the east where the Amazon forest rests at the foot of great mountains. The sky is dictated by Wind God inspired by Pteroquetzal. It was believed only the mightiest warriors could claim mighty winged beasts.

At flooded river beds lies Xinathodon- saw fish which are very curious prey to the Pteroquetzal as they are known to walk on land casually.

    Toruk Macto

Name- Pteroquetzal astalos [thunder quetzal wing] Inca called it great winged king

    Size- 35-40ft

    Habitat- Andes moutains

Diet- Scavenger/ piscivore and small animals (sometimes mud demons)

Behavior- Graceful glider as mids its own business in the sky [solitary gets shy if provoked]

Fun fact- They are very protective of their babies given their solitary nature that makes typical shy animal goes on a rampage.

New species are waiting to be discovered as a pangolin-like dino [new species of compies] convert evolved to be armadillos is currently being studied as having been mistaken for armadillos to show the evolution is happening in face time.

Tapi people called the majestic Southern Iguanas- Larinoth

Ancient dog-like mummies are discovered with tusk-like projections- which could be related to Pheonix Crop mangling in the timeline. An iguana-like parasaurolophus fossils are unearthed but extinction remains a mystery as much as secrets of the Amazon unless they're hidden within the heart of the Amazon.

    James Shannon,
[WARNING- REACH TO SAFETY IF SPOTTED]

This behemoth is the apex predator of all biomes, its home rests at Amazon but feeds on everything if dares to challenge. Is Carcharodontosauridae [branch of allosaurid like giganotosaurus] that have protective scutes and assault with a massive tail with swift prosecution. The legends state that once gods' chosen hero fell after defeating Skull Devels because people corrupted him before being smitten by goddesses-which reason why Glavenus is a force to be reckoned with. (could be misunderstood avatar of pteroquetzal)

    WTF-saurus

    Name- Gorosaurus glavenus

    Size- 45 ft

    Habitat- Forest

    Diet- Apex predator omnivore

Behavior- Extremely territorial, keep out to prevent provocation

Fun fact- scutes on it back could be proof of arms race with Ankyntrosaurs

There's a reason that the Deer Goddess was inspired by Eywa especially how to allow people to connect to the animals and live in harmony. Yes, Tulkun and Toruk were inspirations of two legendary animals of Terra Nova AU.

My Terra Nova AU makes Avatar meets Jurassic World in a literal sense. I deeply apologize for my past behavior on how I reacted to human drama in Terra Nova because it sounds so ghoulish that I never cared. In reality, I admitted that I love Shannon's family dynamic but might be better around many colorful animals along the way like in my AU.

Worldbuilding with spec evo mixed with crazy drama is the reason why I'm a huge Avatar fan and why Avatar Fire and Ash is in the #1 spot on most hype sequel/threequel/ 2025/ 2020s decade because let's be real there is nothing harmful about immersive worldbuilding with the cast of quirky cheesy characters along the way.

Steven Spielberg, I never intended any harsh feelings on Terra Nova if only Disney picked you up to restart like you wanted from scratch.

Terra Nova files- Pantanal wilds and Cerrado

Sergeant Skye (Bucket)- Log date 5170: Commander Taylor suggests that I look after James Shannon on an expedition for marsh patrol because we are dealing with some dangerous time rip. I heard that it is from Pheonix Corp. They tell lies that we are from their time, but we have been here for thousands of years. Pheonix Corp are deathly thugs that they are from the future, as they claimed- do not get near as they are very dangerous. Their activity is poaching sloths we keep our swamp pups steed calm.

Species name- Indoraptor indotaurus (swamp variation) They are naked versions of Slashers as they have silky soft fur to keep cool in humidity. Another difference is their floppy frills that give a dog-like appearance.

    Habitat- Pantanal settlements,

    Food- Fish, mollusk

Behavior- very social creatures with dog-like reflexes. They are not picky eaters as scavagers keep areas clean. Males show off with crests to attract mates and have fin-like structures on their bodies.

Fun fact- they attract others by expanding their frills and 'fins'.

The Shannon kid tries to catch some mudsalmon [a coelacanth that resembles salmon but from a different family], a prime source of food for our Tupai allies as they tamed pterosaurs to catch fish. Tupai has a strong connection with pterosaurs that ensures survival on Pantenel. We found a recent sub-species of copies similar to what Zoe likes but with a naked, newt-like tail and hammer-shaped head as many researchers say, which is an example of evolution as they adapt life on marshes, I guess there more than pesky imps.

Species name- Limnorhynchus- Marsh beaks. They convergent evolved to resemble Jaribu natives who use them to fish as is illegal to kill hunters.

    Size- 5ft wingspan

Habitat- Pantanal marshes and Paraguay marches

Food- fish, amphibians, insects, other small critters

    Behavior- mate for life

Fun fact- They occasionally choked on large mudsalmon

    Species- Secodontognathus

Habitat- The flooded forest of Pantanal and Amazon

    Size- a meter

    Food- insects, spiders, and scorpions

Behavior- lead by flocks to sustain each other

Fun fact- a common myth that they drink blood

Josh Shannon- Log date- 5170: the Pantanal is a great marshland, as my girl has lived there since she was part of her people of marshes. She taught me how to fish. My Jigga loves here, as being a slasher rider is what Terra Novians is known for. there is a wide variety of crazy critters that live there. There are some crazy stuff like mud demons, crocodile pumas, and crested bears. I almost got eaten by a dunkle. while my dad and I are fishing

Species- Mud demons (Cryptobranchus diplovenator) are silver-colored newts with hammer-head and fin-like stricter on its back

Habitat- Pantanal Rivers/ Amazon River and Paraguay marshes

    Size- 3-5ft

Food- fish, large rodents, and many animals

    Behavior- Solitary loners

Fun fact- Fossil evidence once expanded to the southern tip

Species- Duncklesaurus dentra. These are large water lizards [mosasaur] living in depts of the swamps; they are protected by thick armor- ostracoderms, which makes it very difficult to get hunted.

Habitat- Pantanal marches and marshes of Paraguay

    Size- 15-20 ft

Food- large fish, mud demons, and mid-large mammals [rare]

    Behavior- territorial loner

Fun fact- They are mistaken for caimans, but they are lizards as they stick their tongue

James-Pantenel has strange creatures as well as they are crocodile-dinosaur-mammalian features. I heard from the Codex that this beast came before the great beast that inhabited Terra Nova. [Synapsid in Terra Nova]. Then there are bear-like creatures that are cute with wolf-like expressions but able to glow. They always are snitches to get tasty golden mudfish.

Species- Croc-pumas [Postimetrodon] strange beast that has the body of a puma but the skin of a croc, it has a strange sail on its back

Habitat- forest biomes of Pantanal, Amazon [mountains and grasslands biomes too in Paraguay], Cerrado

    Size- 10 ft

    Food- omnivore

Behavior- very shy DO NOT PROVOKE

Fun fact- They ambush their prey, similar to those of crocodiles, since they have similar body structures. Inca neighbors favored this for strength.

    https://preview.redd.it/n05tkscm8hld1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=2903d60c7854767b8c34b2fb37fa44bb61ecfe73

    Species- Crested bear [Para-Acrocanthops]

Habitat- Forest and mountain biomes around Pantanal, Andes Mountains and Cerrado

Size- 6ft tall if stand like a bear

    Food- Omnivore

Behavior- Very curious but defensive DON'T PROVOKE THE BEARS

Fun fact- bioluminescence might be for camouflage, attraction, or to conceal.

    https://preview.redd.it/y0c41d4x9hld1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b6108692a40eada61701cf49187caa4bb28d47e

Taylor- I got some Phoenix goons as they're harvesting antlers from sloths as their sacred animal to region, thanks to the winged goddess. Grylenken the Mother of Plains (resembles that of terror bird and oviraptor). But their leader is out there somewhere and his name is Lucas, good thing we painted the antlers as a sign.

Deity- Grylenken an oviraptor-like god that guards the savannas as it bith many animals to thrive

Species- Megalotops ermoceros A ground sloth that possessed massive branched antlers, Terra Novians have a strong connection to sloths as they are the guardians of swamps. Growing antlers, we advise as it can be used beneficially if antlers fell

Habitat- Forested biomes of Pantanal, sloped pines, and Amazon

    Diet- leaves, fruits and nectar

    Size- 10ft tall

    Behavior- solitary

Fun fact- With symbiotic relations with plants and algae, it blooms from its fur- giving a bright greed color.

    https://preview.redd.it/03cqj7rchhld1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=33bbfb7f47a816e75ca5a6ac019a717c761ecabd

Josh- There's a legend of a ghoulish beast lying underneath the waters of Pentenal, is large hippo-like being armored with a massive crest similar to a widget hammer. It was believed by natives that a longe forgotten animal once thrived here but Barroth is a reminder of what once roamed in already marvelous wetlands.

Species- Barroth [Toxodon malamagnus?] or big mouth Toxodon

    Habitat- Pantenel marsh biome?

    Food- water plants and fish???

    Size- 20 ft

    Behavior- vengeful spirits???

Fun fact- In the dry season, they are covered in mud to prevent hydration

Note- I love that new game about dinos in ruined Earth, as this is why I love gaming utilizing xenofiction on dinos like The Isle and Path of Titans. If only Hollywood had taken that memo instead of making another 'shot dinos because of their spooky' flicks, like the upcoming Primal War. I understand different preferences, but I love immersive stories about bonding with amazing beasts that aren't restricted to children's media, Prehistoric Park is the best example, like Jurassic Games or La Brea TV are a bad example that on pew-pew dino conflect that I want to avoid. The closest we get to modern is Jurassic World, especially the TV show on Netflix.

Through the nature of AU, Sixers are omitted in favor of Phoenix Corp to focus on wildlife and conflicts with humans for environmental messages, alas Avatar but Sedna sill will be included for future files. ngl these animals should be on Pandora, I'm saving the most charismatic dinosaurs in Amazon files with tonnes of lore and worldbuilding. I use Monster Hunter to make the animals interesting.

I'll take a short break from writing this immersive AU as I wanted a Terra Nova that focuses on any prehistoric animals with Shannon family shenanigans.

kudos to hybrids from Jurassic World games and Monster Hunter [barroth and mudsalmon] for the idea of creating Terra Nova an immersive world.

Terra Nova files- Iguanas and Tegus of Patagonia

Zoe Shannon here, my brother and I venture into the vast steppe of Patagonia beyond southern Terra Nova. It is an unforgivable place filled with wonders, I've been looking for the fabled Argentinosaurus labyrin, their massive beast from my people's legends. They have massive cone-shaped crests facing backward that create whale-like songs. Colors were said to be that of iguanas back at Terra Nova, but it brought neon colors from reds to greens like iguanas, and it possessed spine-like scales on its back similar to that of iguanas. We called it the southern iguana or bajaiguanadon.

Size- 90-120 ft, 60-75 ft tall

Food- pine trees, fruits, and cones

    Habitat- forested-slopes of the Andes

Behavior- Social empathetic animals (similar to whale pod)

In the mountain edges in the east, I spotted midagarons and azul bears forging cacti in the harsh but beautiful drylands.

Terra Novan called maned wolves- midagarons or burst wolves through their red fur, azul bears are short-faced bears similar to speckled bears but with more coloration, giving a badger-like appearance- hinting the name that looks blue.

I found the most curious-looking creatures that are Commander Taylor's favorite, the tegus- Salvador velanosaurus (prickly tegu) and Salvador ludoroth; the Mapuches have strong ties to the massive tegus as they are very beneficial for their survival on this vast steppes. My brother tried to mess with beach master, but he learned his lesson on what happens if you mess with animals when he got chased.

Velanosaurus- A massive lizard armed with spines for protection, the Mapuches use shredded spines for several uses. They grow large enough to be ridden as they stand on two, and they possess frills around the neck for territorial display, some have fleshy sails to attract mates, and males have scuttled tails to use it for compact. Example of convergent evolution to resemple caimans and komodo dragon.

Size- 10 ft long/ 5 ft tall [on two]

    Habitat- dry-steppes of Patagonia

Food- scavenger but sometimes hunts sick animals

    Behavior- territorial loner

Ludroth- They live on the coastal edges of Patagonia among the elephant seal and sea lion colonies. They are guarded by a male beach master protecting his herem as others look like slim lizards but males have bulk appearance.

Size- 3-5 ft, same as typical tegus.

Habitat- coastal waters and marine-life of Patagonia

Food- fish, mollusk- even octopus, sea arthropods (crabs, shrimp and lobster)

behavior- social as they live on heram protected by male

Yes, the mention of mammals like wolves and bears indicates that it took place in close to modern times, giving Terra Nova AU a more immersed place.

Terra Nova files- a soldier's best friend

Commander Tayler speaking, I never share this confidentiality with anyone, but as noble people of Terra Nova, we are sworn soldiers. Defenders of dinosaurs that roamed among us, we have a strong bond as they are part of the community. Is it better to explain with my steed because he was my bond since he was a fawn, then after saving my life at skirmish against the Sixers the loyalty becomes stronger. Connecting with Slashers is key to how Terra Nova thrived in a realm filled with dinos.

    Species name- Slashers [Indoraptor indotaurus]

Habitat- Amazon forest and Atlantic forest [wild and feral], tamed are at all settlements

Food- Fish, Caron, prey mammals, and occasionally

Behavior- very social creatures as there very adaptable with dog-like reflexes, They are not picky eaters as scavagers keep areas clean.

Fun fact- Taylor's Slasher name is Saki, a feisty fighter but a beloved friend

Note- as the nature of AU, there are massive liberties from the source as my AU is more on harmony with nature based on Na'vi from Avatar and Mapuches [South American warriors fight against greedy Spanish] or the Tupi-Guarani people (let just say Terra Novans gone native to avoid colonist implications). Making them into fictional Native Americans is a better way to say it because I'll address this implication in the future Terra Nova file- thank Avatar.

Terra Nova files- Pilot of AU

Log date- 5170 [Age of Terra Nova]

'Hey, I'm Zoey Shannon. What a lovely beach with my family, my big brother is a great security guard, but nothing is more mesmerizing than the view of Bahia. The sunset colors are so dazzling as they shine purple-red before dwindling to blue. But most curious of all are Turbocompies, the cleaners and picky eaters that eat everything. Pesky trouble makers, but they are cute.

    Tarbocompies- Tarbognathus compsoraptor

    Habitat- coastal, dessert and grasslands

Diet- fruits, nuts, berries and fish

Tamable- yes [Sixers use as snitches]

Note- This is a work of progress, but there are many more dinosaurs coming up but with different POVs of any character of Terra Nova.

Terra Nova files- a Terra Nova Spec evolution project

    This is for funnies

-Terra Nova AU where the colony went native and domesticated dinosaurs along the way

-discovers biomes that are based in South America [occasional Central America]

-Shannon's main focus but occasional Sixers

    -no drama, just dinosaurs' shenanigans

-animals are based on Jurassic World game hybrids/ monster hunter/ monsterverse and more

This is a project I've been working on since 2020, the reason why to have the immersive worldbuilding as James Cameron Avatar where Terra Nova tried but missed the mark in my opinion. But here we are with all dinosaurs are welcome to fellow Terra Nova scouts to amazing journey of Terra Nova

    Fan made speculative biology

I just wondering if is okay to post fanmade Terra Nova content here since I made a very detail Zoology/ecology of Terra Nova dinosaurs back in early 2020s. Fist I wanted Terra Noava to be more dinosaur-centric as in more Avatar inspired Terra Nova like sentient tribe of raptors to coexistence. Is very detail world building that I made fanfic about it in fanfic.net even it become fanfic of other franchise in hoor of Avatar.

I just watched the second season of "La Brea", and the series gets even more like Terra Nova.

In the second season of La Brea we discover that the Portal to 10,000 BC was created by a group from the future to take resources from the past, a part of the plot that is very similar to Terra Nova. Even a teaser shows that in the third season dinosaurs will appear through a new portal.

Age difference between Maddy and Mark?

So we know that she's 16. I find it very hard to believe he is any less than 18. At first I was sure he was 20+, to have been chosen to be a soldier in Terra Nova, but then I realized he could be the kid of people got recruited, and recently joined the guard when he turned 18. I doubt they let anyone younger than 18 walk around with a gun and all that. So I guess that age difference wouldn't be too terrible given the extenuating circumstances that it's 85 million years in the past and there's only a few hundred people around, but it's still kind of creepy. Thoughts?

Return to Terra Nova Episode 10: The Finale (Season 2 Fan Script)

Well well, here we are with the final episode script of my fan made season 2. It was a long road to get to this point. I remember I started writing these fan scripts seven years ago. At the time, I had just come up with what I thought would be a viable way to continue the show's story years after it ended. I thought it was too interesting not to write. When I first brainstormed the idea though, I had no idea it would take me this long to finish the thing. There were a lot of twists and turns throughout the development process. I learned a lot about writing, especially from all the mistakes I made. My plans for the story expanded and changed several times through the years. Truthfully, I was never really sure I'd ever be able to finish this series.

Today's the day though, and it's finally complete. Thanks to everyone who has read my scripts throughout the years. I really appreciate it, and I hope this final episode is a worthy conclusion to not just what I've been writing, but to the original show as well.

    Here it is: Episode 10

AI outline for a possible season 2

So I was chatting with an AI and decided I wanted to see what a possible season 2 would look like for Terra Nova. I was not disappointed and thought it was interesting enough to share with you all here.

TL;DR It seems that the idea of multiple timelines is explored even further, which makes sense given what we saw at the end of Season 1. The Colony discovers another colony from yet another alternative timeline, and their values don't exactly match our own.

Title: Terra Nova - Season 2

Logline: As Terra Nova's colony faces new challenges from within and beyond, they must confront the true cost of survival and uncover the secrets that could alter the future of humanity.

Episode 1: Uncharted Territories The colony discovers an abandoned settlement from an unknown group, revealing that they are not alone in the prehistoric world. Meanwhile, the colony faces dwindling resources, forcing them to expand beyond the safety of their borders.

Episode 2: The Rival Colony The people of Terra Nova establish contact with the rival colony, which holds the key to vital resources but has a radically different approach to survival. Tensions escalate as the two colonies struggle to find common ground.

Episode 3: The Search for Truth As suspicions grow between the two colonies, Jim and Taylor lead an expedition to uncover the truth behind the rival colony's existence. In the process, they discover a hidden agenda that could endanger Terra Nova's future.

Episode 4: Rising Tides A powerful storm threatens Terra Nova, forcing the colony to confront their limitations and find a way to work together with the rival colony. Meanwhile, Elisabeth discovers a shocking secret about the past of the Sixers.

Episode 5: Rebellion The revelation of the Sixers' secret creates tension within the colony, leading to a rebellion against Taylor's leadership. As the situation becomes dire, Skye and Maddy must make a difficult choice to protect their family.

Episode 6: Diplomacy and Deception Jim and Taylor attempt to broker peace between the two colonies, but political intrigue and personal betrayals complicate the negotiations. Meanwhile, a new enemy emerges that threatens both settlements.

Episode 7: The Enemy Within An unknown illness strikes Terra Nova, forcing the colony to rely on the rival colony's medical expertise. As trust between the two colonies grows, they uncover a plot by the Sixers to undermine Terra Nova's stability.

Episode 8: The Time Rift A new portal opens, bringing a group of refugees with vital information about the future. Their arrival sparks a race against time to stop a dangerous enemy that could alter the course of history.

Episode 9: United Front The two colonies join forces to confront the common enemy, but their alliance is tested as they discover the true nature of the threat they face. Meanwhile, Zoe makes a life-changing decision that will affect her future in Terra Nova.

Episode 10: Final Battle In the climactic battle, Terra Nova and the rival colony fight side by side to protect their world from the enemy's devastating plan. As the dust settles, the survivors must decide the fate of their new world and the future of humanity.

Season 2 of Terra Nova explores the complexities of survival, cooperation, and trust in a dangerous world. As the colony faces new challenges and encounters surprising allies and enemies, they must redefine their understanding of home and the cost of securing a future for humanity.

    ::edited::

I asked it for clarification on the rival colony:

The rival colony, called "Aurora," is a group of settlers from an alternative timeline, sent by a powerful corporation with a different vision for the future. The people of Aurora are driven by a belief in technological progress and ruthless self-preservation, as opposed to Terra Nova's focus on sustainability and harmony with the environment.

Aurora's advanced technology gives them an edge in the prehistoric world, but their aggressive expansionism and manipulation of the environment put them at odds with Terra Nova's values. Aurora is led by a charismatic but ruthless leader, Marcus Kane, who believes that the survival of humanity depends on harnessing the power of the past to control the future.

Despite their differences, the two colonies share a common goal: to secure a future for humanity in the face of numerous challenges. As they navigate the complexities of diplomacy, trust, and survival, they must confront the question of whether they can overcome their conflicting ideologies to work together against the enemy that threatens them all.

    What iff...

What if people realized that self sustainable cities can be actually created, and made self reliant (to a degree)?

The design of this series basecamp is actually well planned...to a degree, in regards to that...

Who would like to work on such a project? What would you cntribute to such a project?

    Anyone watching "La Brea"?

It's a new show with a similar premise, but It's in the Ice Age and the past influences the present. And the present time is our common world.

    Terra Nova reboot my worries

Now I’m a huge fan of TN and really wished we had more seasons and a lot of us wish for a reboot of the show but I have some worries:

    1. so much times has passed since the og season and it left on a cliffhanger, making a following series (that continues the original story) to complicated and time consuming
    2. from 1 we would need to restart from scratch with the same idea but we can’t recreate the season scene for scene
    3. the modern socio politics have changed a lot and would I’m concerned the writers would be more focused on those than actually recreating the logic of the show ( a distopian future where to have a better life a family escaped to a almost paradise place and the place is more complex and dangerous that they thought)

So they finally caught the spy and did...

My interest for the show immediately dropped after seeing how they dealt with the spy who put Terra Nova on dangerous for several times. Throughut the show, other people had done less and had faced serious consequences, but no the spy.

    Please!

What would have happened when the chimps would have started evolving in humans?

And another question is: how would the Terra Nova folks deal with the asteroid that caused the dinosaur's extinction?

    The CGI was quite impressive

I've seen more recent movies with way worst CGI.
