Recently, I learned that a setting on the subreddit had changed where only certain permitted users could post content. I didn't change it, but I have since changed it back. Hopefully, you all can start sharing stuff again. Sorry for the trouble.

I used to catch this on Toonami when I was a kid, and I always wanted to give the franchise a proper watch one day. I initially started with Universe episode 1, but apparently Universe isn't canon or something like that? I've heard different things.

So now I'm confused.

Can anyone recommend a good watch order? Should I stop with Universe and go to the OVA's?

I went to watch the new GXP season and other than D I don't recognize anyone on Seina's team. There's a lot of mention of being reincarnated to another world and isekai-like adventures in Ryo Ohki 5, but I haven't been able to find anything on it. Is there another spin off or special that I'm missing or is this something that was covered in the GXP novels that weren't localized?

Please, I don't want depressing ones like Evangelion.

I've been trying to find out for ages now, and for the life of me can't remember. One specific scene I can remember that might help, is a scene where Ryoko and Tsunami (I believe) are peeling potatoes or something for a meal, and Tsunami cuts them very slow and precise, while Ryoko blasts through them and removes most of the potato in the process.

So, I've recently been thinking about watching again. But the problem is I haven't watched since I think the original 6 episodes of the OAVs in the 90s. So I'm not entirely sure if I should go back and finish them, since I know they've continued it, (though I heard it really gets crazy)

I have been wanting to watch tenchi muyo. I have not been able to find the exact placement. So then, when does tenchi muyo movie 2 take place?

I just got onto S3 of Ryo-Ohki and I'm beyond gutted that Ryoko's voice has changed... not only that but Tenchi and Mihoshi are different.

It just doesn't feel the same anymore 🤣 especially Ryoko, no offence to the new voice actor I'm sure she's brilliant but I feel she fails to capture Ryoko's personality.

Did any of the Dub watchers just carry on in Dub and does it get better? Or is it just time to move to the sub?

Seemed like they had a lot of great ideas, set up the characters, plot, and world building for something really great to begin to happen, and then... nothing? What inspired them to reboot the series as Tenchi Universe, and then once again later on with Tenchi In Tokyo?

Because in paper, it just really doesn't make any sense to me. I enjoy each separate series for what it is. But why start over from the very beginning, and rethink everything into a new story twice?
