I got accepted for PHEAA last semester, I only had to pay a low amount for tuition this time, and when I just looked at my balance they took away my grant but when I look at the award offer letter it says estimated state grant fund and the the total amount.
Just got the email from Public Safety. There was a TU student impersonating ICE???
Was this some sort of prank gone wrong or are they fr fucked up?
Awful.
I drove by and saw it roped off by police and a lot of blood on the ground. 😢
I am an Asian Indian male applying to Temple for B.S CS. Heard rumours about unsafe environment around Temple. I am tall(6 2) and good build(relatively intimidating). Would it be safe for me, hearing alot of hate for Indians?
Also, assuming my profile gets me into Temple, what are some equivalently ranked schools I should apply to, to avoid Temple with s decent chance of getting in?
I deadass did EA and heard n o t h i n g. Not even a rejection. Does that mean my chances of getting in are pretty much 0?
Anyone know anything about that football kicker? Is he gonna declare for the draft?
Before there was Richie's Cafe, there was a different cafe in the same location called Saige Cafe. 6 years ago right around this time, they were offering a mystery iced tea which I believe was called "Love Potion #9". It was so good!! I was under the spell and obsessed with this tea. The owner said that she would fill me in on the recipe, once they were done selling the drink for the season. But then the pandemic hit, and when life finally returned to normal, Saige Cafe WAS GONE!
I am hoping that a former Saige employee happens to see this post and can provide the tea. But if anyone else has any ideas on the recipe, please feel free to share! :)
Hello I'm currently looking for roommates for Temple Towers, I'm bringing a TV for the living room. My interests are video games (mostly Nintendo and PC), and movies(Comedy, drama, and fantasy). My major is Film
I’m interested in possibly studying abroad for an academic year. Any one have tips and share theirs experiences
Today I got my acceptance letter for Temple. It was very cool and exciting but there was no aid given whatsoever. (Maybe they email that separately or something but I'm basing it off of my experience with getting into another school and in that school they put the aid they wanted to give in the acceptance letter).
I know I'm an out of state student and I did have a C+ in IB physics in 11th grade and a C- in Algebra 1 in 8th grade, but I really was not expecting no aid at all. Specifically because my student aid index from FAFSA is -1500 which is the lowest it can possibly be.
Anyways, time to pester the financial aid office ig.
Edit: I just looked at the automatic reply for the email I sent and they said financial aid offers will be available in February/March. 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 Im goofy asf. I hope they dont hate me for the emotional email I wrote to them about how my parents work 12+ hours a day.
I'm looking to sublease my apartment room for next term! Building is on Cecil B. Moore Ave (~10 minute walk from Temple campus)
Looking for a female subtenant only! DM on insta @ n1na.lm if interested / for more info !
Do a lot of people apply to become apart of RHA. Does anyone know what it’s like??
Currently commuting every day to make 8am classes and it’s tremendous torture. One of the perks of being a veteran means NOT having to wake up at 5-6am every day, so…where’s the best place to live on/around campus? I’m 27 years old and can afford a studio, I don’t want a roommate (unless they were my age/mature enough to keep a clean, comfortable living space). I’ve seen The View at Montgomery a thousand times but never been inside, I know of University Village and Morgan Hall as well but I have a little kitty cat that I want to keep with me and I know University housing restricts pets, I’ve also looked into off-campus housing like The Poplar. What are y’alls opinions? Any other options? Etc.
3 questions:
Registering for classes really early is limiting you to class options because they post more classes later on.
Sometimes you will have a class with a certain professor and then it switches to a teaching aide. Then, by the time you try to swap classes (to avoid being taught by someone with much less experience) all of the more experienced professors are gone. So, make sure you pay attention to your instructors before a semester starts.
When you try to switch your classes at the last minute it essentially resets you in the queue for when you would receive your refund (ex. I switch classes the day before school starts I will get my refund later than someone who did not switch).
Hi guys, I know that people don’t really check out books anymore (same), so I was wondering how to check out a book at Charles?
I am looking for a sublet from April or May to August. Just a room or a whole apartment. My budget is $500-$900, and preferably with utilities included and furnished. I am also very flexible and can work with anything.
For context I was accepted as an English major.
So does temple allow for a single course to satisfy multiple requirements? If so, I'm assuming that you obviously wouldn't get double the credits, meaning you'd still need to find a way to fulfill your required credits to graduate. Is there anyone who can give me some insight into this?
What’s up with these class is basically just being left-wing propaganda and everybody in the class just agreeing with all this bullshit like no I don’t wanna learn what the establishment wants us to learn and all this commie bullshit. I want to be challenged all the teachers just have his biased view of the fucking world.
I recently saw this dumb bitch with her AirPods in and having an entire phone call conversation during class literally mumbling answers to whoever she was on the phone with in the middle of a professor, giving lecture and everybody could hear her go fuck yourself and don’t do that shit again I am going to tell the teacher I don’t give a fuck.
So my parent side on fafsa accidently used 2022 tax file and it need 2023. What would happen will I lose aid? I don`t see any edit to correct it on my parent fafsa account. They are probably confused as this year they ask for information on tax file. Which last year they pulled dirrectly from irs so I am pretty stressed.
Heard what happened
Hello all, to those living in j and h this is directed to you. Prolly cheese crackers abd meat platter maybe I'll get a pizza or two delivered. This can only happen if i can get a garentee someone can work the tv down there on the 9th
I don’t have any older siblings so I’m asking y’all—should I walk for both the university commencement and my own college’s or should I do one or the other? what’s the normal thing to do here/what do most people do?
EDIT: I can only walk for my specific school’s commencement bc I graduate in the fall and meet the requirements for my school, but not for the university commencement. Should I just walk for my school or wait until next spring?
To the person who stole my DoorDash order at least 45 minutes ago: you know how to fucking read, so had you read my name on that bag, you wouldn’t have had the audacity to make me spend another $30 from your carelessness. I’m so angry to the point where I wanna slap the culprit
Why would temple suddenly change my residency status on my financial aid to “no -resident” when I already paid my tuition in full and am a PA resident? They haven’t responded to me yet. Has this happened to anyone else?
Anyone else get a financial aid award update? I paid my bill last week and now I owe again.
I live in Morgan South and sometimes when I order food from DoorDash, or even groceries from instacart the drivers always seem to have trouble finding the building.
Even when I tell them to message me if they need help, sometimes they ignore it and leave my order in random places and I can’t even tell where it is. Once a driver left my order in the middle of N Broad St and it got stolen immediately. I couldn’t find the order bc the driver left it in a random spot. Once I finally found where they dropped it off, my order was gone
Does this problem happen with anyone else too? If not what do you guys tell your drivers
