I’m stressing out because I have the HARDEST time deciding or feeling confident in my choices for new places to eat. It’s all on me to plan a very last minute outing.
Mill ASU area of Tempe.
Date night but not formal, just good food and fun. Movie after 10p.
We’ve had Thai Basil (holy cow), Perfect Pear, Culinary Drop Out (definitely not trying to go that high priced tonight), Chuck Box, Casey Moores. All were sooo delicious. Hated Loco Patron.
Please Help!!
Currently looking for a roommate in Tempe. 15 minute walk to ASU. Right now I pay a total of $1,847 in rent for a two bed and two bath. If anyone is interested shoot me a dm please!
The Tempe Costco had a long line before opening and folks bought out all the toilet paper before noon! As far as I know all the TP is made in the USA and not shipped in at the docks . Geez!!
Howdy r/tempe! My husband and I are ironing out details to visit Tempe during the first week of November. We are from Oklahoma and wondered what we need to pack for clothing. I’ve read that temps range from 69F-81F. For lower temps, we wear hoodies and pants; for the higher temps, shirts and shorts. However, I’ve heard that Arizona is a dry, and Oklahoma is humid.
What would you recommend for clothing in early November?
PS-I saved the post who asked about activity and eating recommendations because their family will be in Tempe for 5 months. Thanks for the suggestions!
There's a lot of police activity here, couple of fire engines and a stretch of the road is blocked off.
Most romantic restaurant in or around downtown Tempe. Ideas?!
Just curious as to information about what kind of yard signs/banners/flags are allowed to be displayed in front of someone’s home. I can’t seem to find much information about it besides political campaign signs, but what actually are the rules? Thanks!!!
I just moved to Tempe a couple months ago! I tried Aria first… the shape of my nails were crooked and I was there much longer than expected. I’ve gone to Julie’s Nails the last 2 times, although my shellac chipped less than a week later. Wanting to find somewhere that will do acrylic with shellac and not crazy overpriced! 🙃
This was on the back of the Tempe Bikeway Maps found in the Orbit busses. I've biked all over Tempe, but don't recall an intersection with these. I've come across plenty of intersections that need this, though. Just curious if someone can help me locate one.
When Pete’s closed, there was a lot of talk that the Mellow Mushroom on Mill would soon follow because of rent costs, and that it would close in September. So far, close to October, it’s still open. Were they able to work things out? I ask because it’s an integral part of Mill and I hate seeing places there close.
Going on a solid 3 weeks straight. Is this the norm or is it just rotting or something else wrong?
Alright Tempe fanatics, I’m looking for the ultimate Tempe experience as my family (spouse, 2 year old, and 1 year old) is posted up here for the next 5 months!
I’ve been browsing this page for a lot of top spots, but wanted to get a nice list together of what we need to experience to get a full view of how awesome Tempe/Phoenix can be.
Tempe town lake? Phoenix zoo? Cardinals game? Filiberto’s? What must we put on our bucket list for our season to be here?
Thanks in advanced!

Recently the flex wire behind the display of my android broke. Are there any good mobile repair shops in Tempe. Possibly near to ASU campus??(ASAP)
Thanks.
Hi everyone, I recently moved to Tempe from New York, and one of the things that I miss the most is Chinese food. Does anyone have any good recommendations for Chinese food? Especially any hole in the wall places.
Also, please let me know if you have any recommendations for hainanese chicken.
hey! i’m wanting to take some self portraits with a desert scene somewhere in tempe or at papago park. anyone know any good spots or good times to go when there are less people out?
Hey there. First off, sorry for the rant, I'm beyond frustrated and feel like I have to share this with people who aren't my friends.
So I live a little ways away from campus, mainly because of how much cheaper the rent here is, but also because I assumed the area would be safer than around ASU campus. Guess I was wrong.
I've enjoyed cycling since forever and was pretty happy about the idea of cycling to campus and back. For some reason, however, I was really struggling with it. I just chalked it up to being heavy and powered through, until my Walmart huffy broke down twice in the span of 2 days. Realizing I just had a shit bike, I decided to upgrade. Considering just how much I'd be cycling over the course of the next year or so I decided to get a really good one. Scoured through OfferUp for 4-5 days until I found a Velotric T1 ST for really cheap. Much lower than the price of a brand new one, despite the condition being great. While it would cost me every single penny I had in my account, it just sounded like too good an offer to pass up.
And it was. I bought it 10 days ago, and have thoroughly enjoyed it since. Genuinely went out of my way to find excuses to go out and ride despite being super busy. Yesterday, 9 days after I bought my bike, I woke up at 9:30 in the morning and decided to go take a shower. I keep my bike parked in the patio with the wheels locked with a chain lock. (Not to anything else, but to the bike itself). I come back to my room, and for some reason have the urge to check on my bike. My room opens right into the patio, so the bike is parked literally 2 feet from where I sit at my desk all day. I check through the blinds and I can't see my bike for some reason?
I rushed outside to find the patio gate open and my bike gone. We have a ring doorbell so I text my roommate about it and ask him if he moved my bike or saw anyone take it by any chance. Says he didn't. Apparently the ring camera was out of charge and he just set it up around 10 AM. Says he saw my bike this morning around 9AM. So between 9AM and 10AM, (in fact, probably between 9:30 AM and 10 AM since I'd most likely have heard someone picking my cycle up and just bolting before I went for my shower), the one, single hour when there was no security here, someone happened to get incredibly lucky with the timing and stole my bike. I should also mention that we have a dog that absolutely loses it whenever strangers come close to the door or the patio. But he never barked either.
I realize it's my fault for not just bringing my bike inside or locking it up properly, but the amount of luck this thief had is genuinely ridiculous. On the flip side, I have no more money left to spend on a bike. I can't seem to find an on-campus job (international student so that's all I can do). I've lost 2 bikes in around 2 weeks, the second one disappearing from what I imagine whoever came up with the phrase "right under my nose" was making a reference to.
I'm beyond shocked. I'm shocked at the incredible luck this thief had. I'm shocked at the fact that someone had the audacity to just open the patio gate and pick up an entire cycle, load it into their car and get away, all in broad daylight. I'm shocked that people this shitty actually exist and I'm shocked that all I can do is suffer the consequences of my mistake and their actions.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you see a bright orange Velotric T1 ST, please DM me. Also, bike thieves are the absolute worst.
Message if you even think you've seen him, he's been missing since Saturday.
Hello!
My girlfriend and I are looking for someone to take over our entire lease at 543 W 19th Street. This is a great house that we have lived in for over a year, but we have to move out of town to be closer to work. My favorite thing about it is the location - we own cars but rarely have to use them, as everything is so connected. It really is the heart of the city, and I will be sad to go.
Length of Lease: 10 Months (8/1/2024 - 7/25/2025)
Cost: $3635/month (all taxes/fees included)
5 bedrooms (or 4 bedrooms and an office)
2 bathrooms with nice fixtures
Beautiful pool, deck, outdoor space
Under 20 minute walk to ASU/Mill
2 minute Walk to Dog Park/Playground (Clark Park)
1 minute Walk to Tempe ORBIT stop (takes you right to Mill/ASU in 10 minutes for free)
1-5 minute walk to several amazing restaurants/bars, convenience store
Pet friendly!
15 minute drive to old town Scottsdale
5 minutes from the I-10 freeway, about a 15 minute drive to the heart of Phoenix
Brand new kitchen, renovated in November 2023
Brand new central AC, replaced August 2024
Disconnected office/studio space with AC
Washer, dryer, garbage disposal, dishwasher
Tenants are responsible for utilities (Electric, Water, Gas, Internet)
Please DM me or comment if interested! We are somewhat flexible on move in date if necessary.
Moving to the area in a month and looking for pest control recommendations. How much does a service typically cost, how often should I have to done? For reference I have a smallish place, 2bed 2 bath about 1600 sq feet on a small lot with a fenced in back yard. I've seen online that a "residential packages" costs $399 but it doesn't say if that's a monthly price, an annual or whatever and most places won't just list their prices want me to give my info to talk to a sales person but I don't want to put my info out there and field calls all week just yet.
Any thrift stores in Tempe AZ?
