Hello
Is there currently a seed cracker for 1.21.1?
I made a farm using a video, I can't find it now but it basically has like a row of doors along the bottom, with observers underneath a row of lava behind that, and a powder snow portal breaker, and it worked originally, but now the doors are just setting the portal on fire, and it only lights the portal a couple of times every like ten minutes. I've tried removing the observers under the lava to see if that helps, but it just caused it to stop completely. Also, the piston crusher is often breaking, and stopping moving. Also tried using trapdoors which like don't connect with any of the obsidian to see if that would fix the fire issue, but they just didn't light it. Any ideas? Also, would it work if I moved the trapdoors so that they touch the side of the portal or something?
Update: I have no idea what happened but while I was restoring it to take ss it started working again
Thanks for your suggestions
I've been doing some testing with the new ender pearl chunk loaders and I've found that they don't load minecarts with hoppers. When a player leaves a chunk (loaded by a pearl in a stasis chamber) with moving minecarts, they just freeze in place until the player returns.
Is that an intended feature or a bug? I thought enderpearls now have the property of entity chunk loading in a 3x3 area.
Mojang justifiably nerfed raid farms in 1.21. What are some different methods for obtaining emeralds. Is trading farmable resources the best option? Is there anyway around the villagers' max rate of 2 offers per day?
I want to build some farms running at all times but I don't know how often a block will be chosen for a random tick and cannot an equation or answer on the wiki for bedrock. Any help would be great.
So I was messing around in a testing world while on vc with a friend of mine and I was showing him some example of clocks (he accidentally made one with a torch and redstone dust which subsequently burnt out while trying to make a piston door).
I moved onto hopper clocks and one thing led to another until 2 hours had passed and we managed to sync up a repeater clock with a hopper clock. The hopper clock was 2x5 hoppers using a single piece of leather as the item and a comparator and repeater (set to 1 gt delay) as the output.
The repeater clock was 2x4 repeaters set to 4 gt delay and then a final repeater with a 3 gt delay to compensate for the output of the comparator + repeater on the hopper clock.
Using this setup we found that the transfer rate for 1 item in a hopper clock comes out to 3.2 gt (8 repeaters @ 4 gt delay means 32 gt per period - 10 hoppers form a clock that is synchronous with that therefore 3.2 gt delay per hopper.
To start the clocks at the same time I froze the game, placed the item in the hopper that the comparator was taking an input from and placed a redstone torch to power the repeater clock. I then set the tick rate to 1 gt/s and then unfroze the game and destroyed the redstone torch after unfreezing the game. The possible inaccuracy introduced when breaking the redstone torch resulting in a longer pulse is why we used the depowering and retraction of the pistons as the indicator that the clocks were synchronised instead of them being powered/extended.
The synchronicity is based on when the redstone dust is depowered - we put two pistons, one for each clock and set the tick rate to 1 gt/s and saw that the pistons both retracted on the same tick and did this for 6 or 7 cycles before I set the tick rate back to 20 gt/s.
I've seen on the minecraft wiki and on this subreddit that hoppers transfer items at a rate of 2.5 items/s which comes out to 8 gt/item.
The question I'd like answered is why we witnessed a different delay (regarding item transfer rate) from the hoppers than what is listed on the wiki?
P.S. - I'm still not too familiar with TMC etc. since I've only been engaged in it for about 6-8 months overall.
TL:DR - Hopper 1-item transfer rate comes out to 3.2 gt/item when the wiki and supposed "common knowledge" on this sub is that it is 8 gt/item. Why is our (friend and my) setup resulting in a different value than what others have observed/figured out?

Hello, Looking for a villager trading hall design that can hold a bunch of villagers of the same profession without them getting confused over the workstations. I any hall like this that I've built in the past, even once they are all linked properly, and I've been trading with them for a while, they'll still unlink and get all mixed up if you leave it long enough.
Anyone have a solution?
Im in a server thats modded and i have a weapon so for every mob i kill i get emeralds, I want a mob farm thats fast to spawn mobs but doesnt need to be great for xp. I currently have an enderman farm but may be loosing end access soon so would like a fast mob farm without needing the end. This is for Java 1.20
Just wanted to show off and see what people would do next, curious to see how many people use the designs for the farms I have :) (MODS please Thanos snap this post if not allowed)
I feel like I have made countless different mob farms and they either don't work at all or move frustratingly slow, even after following tutorials. I feel like they don't explain any of the mechanics at play very well and I want to know them so I can troubleshoot any issues with the farm. What is it that I should look for/know about mob spawning mechanics and how do I incorporate them into the design of a mob farm?
Hi,
I'm building my second perimeter in Minecraft, but this time in the middle of ocean biome. I am using extended version (32x32 chunks) of Ilmango's World Eater design. I have so far drained all the trenches to ocean floor but have hard time progressing from here. In my previous perimeter I used TNT flying machines for making the trenches, but testing that for my current project was disastrous, the machine practically blew up all my trench walls and flooded everything. I built the walls from glass (outer) and sand (inner), so they are not very blast resistant.
Any tips how to make the trenches? I dont really want to mine them manually because the perimeter is so big and it would take probably hundred hours alone.
Anyone know of any good shulker farms that works in 1.21.3 java?
This is just an idea I had while messing with real electrical circuits. Obviously we have the repeater, but that's not exactly the same as a diode. I'm picturing something that takes 0 ticks of delay to activate/deactivate, and the output signal strength is equal to the input strength, and (obviously) would only work in one direction. Would this be useful in any redstone builds?
It might be overpowered in creating instant redstone lines when chained together, so maybe make something like one diode can't take a signal from another.
Anyway, thoughts?
So I had been doing some research about spawn rate and map height and discovered that the spawn rates are inversely proportional to the highest block. So my question is:
do scanfoldings and liquids such as water increase the map height or not.If it does, then is it there for recomended to build afk spots?
i made a totem from https://skinmc.net/totem and it says that it only works for 1.8 but im using it on a creative world rn 1.21.1 if i use on my hardcore world will it corrupt the world
Hey, i built an obsidian Wither farm, snow golem shoots snowballs, wither breaks obsidian, i was wondering if it counts as it being rendered, per example, can i build a mob switch under the loading obsidian and go far away? i think it doesn't count but i was wondering if anyone knows for sure.
Is there a documentation or a list of all known minecraft 1.21 farms that are like must have? Im going to start in a smp this friday and I havent built many farms since like the 1.14 so I gues many things changed. What are the most op farms? What farms do I need at the very beginning to be really effective? Thanks for any answers leading in that way.
Do Creepers just walk in to the water or do I have to lower it and place trapdoors, I did place trapdoors on the layer above
Hi, with the recent update I lost the recovery compass ID, I have been looking on different pages but all the ones I have seen are outdated, could someone provide me the Item ID? and if possible, some page with the updated IDs, thanks a lot

Hi guys,
Recently I've been thinking about making god armor (all prot on every piece), but I noticed that recently the downgrade mechanics have changed, removing every item in the inventory and the enderchest once downgraded, Does anybody have any ideas on how to downgrade my world effectively without the need of "starting over"?
