Please read this before posting. Remember that the definition of tautology is what the word tautology means. Posts that aren't tautologies will be politely yet firmly removed.
So what's a tautology, you ask?
Needless repetition of the same sense in different words; redundancy.
An instance of such repetition.
For an example, see this xkcd comic.
Now happy tautologying! (Tautologing? Tautologering? Whatever.)

This past weekend we went to a cute town about 90 min away from us, that we had last been to in early 2022 for our anniversary.
When we arrived, he looked around with an air of nostalgia, and mused, “Hmm… we haven’t been here since the last time we were here together, have we?”
I was thinking earlier today about whether "unusual distinction" is a tautology because isn't a distinction unusual in itself.
So is an "unusual distinction" a tautology?
Thanks in advance for your responses.
Schools, paradoxically, have some of the worst mission statements of any entity or industry. Teachers and administration are supposed to be educating students, yet, oftentimes, they cannot even write a few sentences without redundancy. Look at the following example:
Bethel School is committed to providing each student with learning opportunities so that they can reach their full individual potential.
