a strongly developed contrasting ideologies yet fell short for a cliched happy ending. why are movies lacking the depth in ideology?
Even though I love that movie, heard that album at least few dozen times, I never knew what Anjaale meant. I always thought that as a non native tamil speaker that just I didn't know the word but surprisingly none of my tamil speaking friends couldn't translate it either. Happy to hear your thoughts!
what director and movie is she talking about?
I am watching Mufasa right now. Assuming that it is a movie for children, there was a dialogue in it something along the lines of 'Vaai irundhu vaai podaama ena use'
Movie no.1 -- this was a nasser movie which I watched as a kid where he has a son who is in clg and nasser tries to behave like a youth and dresses like young men I don't remember the cast but I remember just one of them called m.s.narayana a famous telugu comedian.
And movie no.2 was also watched as a kid not full movie but some comedy clips in siripoli where senthil and bharathi kannan ( who played as namboothiri in the movie katcheri arambam) were played as black magic sorcerers and in one scene chaams ( played as translater for ms Bhaskar in irumbukottai Murattu singam) asks for water and they both senthil and bharathi kannan try to scare chaams but eventually they both get scared because chaams is already dead and chaams himself shows his body hanging.
I searched for both of these movies but can't find them if anyone knows the movie names pls do share...
Hello folks,
I’m new to Reddit so bear with me. I need help finding a Vadivelu comedy scene. I don’t know the movie or the specific scene but he says something like … hello.. frands.. fraaaands, I’ve been stuck for so long somebody help 😭😭😭😭😭
I think 7am arivu, 24 are amazing movies ahead of their time but failed abruptly in cinemas ...will Kanguva match the time, croud and break this curse coz I'm seeing the creative posters and patterns coming back for this movie (I also feel maatran is a decent movie although mass is below average)
I plan to work on my dissertation on Kollywood cinema and how it perpetuates colourism. I want to specifically look into movies that do this to the female main lead. For example, movies like Sundaram Travels, Shivaji, and movies of Raghava Lawrence. The colourism doesn't even have to be blatant, even if it's subtle, I'd like to know about it. Also, let me know about your thoughts on this phenomenon of Colourism in Kollywood. Is this because of Casteism, colourism, colonialism or a dirty combination of all of this? If there is some interesting article or research paper on this that I should read, please add the link.
Thank you in advance :)
