For a while now I've been deliberately sending units to collect every drop (the bags that appear after you kill enemies) before finishing a round. If you leave them all on the field, do you still get them all anyway just from winning?
Hi guys. I have cleared Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis these days and are playing Tactics Ogre:Wheel of fate. It is a perfect video game but the absurd leveling system disappoints and suffers me. Is there any modded version has modified the issue? Don’t recommend Reborn, please. Because I use emulator on my mobile phonemy and it can’t run Reborn.
Will characters in my party still engage in dialogue in battles, if dead in the warren report? E.g. if Cressida is dead on my Neutral route, but in my party having recruited her on Chaos, will she still talk to Nybeth during Palace of the Dead story battles?
When you first rescue the Duke he gives you a few soldiers. Like a warrior, a cleric, a rune fencer, an archer, and a mage. Are these units special in anyway?
Questions. Are you only allowed one unique item of every kind (red items) and how do you get summons and who can equip them? I haven’t received one as of yet and I think I am doing a pretty good run on this.
Doing some reading and it seems Terror Knights and Beasts fall off and magic is king in PotD. So obviously this means Shamans but you're capped at like... 2 before World at least in Law. So what to fill the rest of the 10 slots with? And I'm thinking Rune Fencer right? Because magic is king and they can cast summons.
Am I wrong? PotD seems daunting so I want to be very ready for it. Gonna setup an auto-battle thing with zombies later too.
I've read a lot about this and it seems to only take effect every 10 levels? But it also is based on your highest level, so if you have mismatched class levels you could make things harder for yourself?
For context I like to tune out and grind in RPGs while watching/listening to stuff sometimes. From what I hear, this will make the game too hard and cause me to miss items?
I'm currently playing through Tactics Ogre (Reborn) for the first time, and I'm having a fantastic time. It’s seriously the most fun I’ve had on a game for years.
I've just reached the beginning of Chapter 4: Chaos, and I'm considering collecting all the unique characters after I finish the main story. Although I'm trying to avoid guides, I did read that there is an anchor system, which allows you to visit other routes. If I stick to my plan of not using guides, is there a risk that I'll permanently miss out on certain content/characters?For instance, could I accidentally let a unique character die without realizing it and then never be able to get them again? I’m not fussed about getting all titles as am aware there are some extremely hard ones to get.
Cheers!
Just asking for general tips/any big differences, and is White Knight awesome in the PSP version like in Reborn?
I've been having trouble installing the mod with just using my phone (do not have a PC).
Have read multiple guides on how to do it on an android but that doesn't necessarily work with IOS as well.
Any leads or guides are highly appreciated!
I’m sure it’s been asked a million times, but just curious what everyone’s opinion are on the best classes?
I’m at a pretty good point right now I feel party wise. Currently working on the 6 shrines to unlock the Shaman marks. I played TO for the first time on the PS1 as a young teenager without a guide so it’s been an absolute blast to go through and do everything possible.
I’m honestly sad that the end is closer than distant.
I did law Princess run -> CODA1 for Iuria -> world neutral for Cistina / Cerya / Oelias / Dievold recruits -> Lord -> world back to my Princess anchor and POTD shop for summons now that I've gotten all the sisters.
What next?
My options are: finish POTD and redo the ending / CODA1 to lock in the POTD (I heard this is needed for Blackmoor?), withdraw and world chaos for Cressida, world back to CODA and clear San Bronsa first and then deal with POTD / Warren quest.
So what do I do?
Will farming San Bronsa first trivialize the POTD run / make its drops obsolete?
Will farming San Bronsa without POTD loot be too hard?
Will running San Bronsa and then worlding back for POTD completion force me to redo San Bronsa when I come back to unlock the rest of CODA?
Should I at any point bother re-farming the Shrines? (I only did 1 run to get Shaman marks.)
Both of these dungeons seem like big commitments, I don't do afk auto-battles, I want to savor the game, but with casually playing 2-3 maps a day it'll take me weeks to finish either, assuming I don't get stuck.
Help me with FOMO. 😅Especially since I'm about to take a break to spend time playing World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary (another nostalgic title to me), so when I return to TO I want to be sure I'm maximizing fun instead of making it harder for myself. Thanks in advance.
I just finished CH4 and on Lord Route CODA & already got Catiua using World Tarot. Im currently doing POTD and on floor 101, can I get warren after i have finished the coda floors or did i miss something?
Ive been playing TOR for quite some time now, Lawful-Lord Route, and just got my hands on the first batch of Oracle Marks - still haven't finished the story.
Sheri is geared towards Oracle, that's obvious.
But what of Olivia, which seems a great Cleric? Probably swapped by Priestess when I recruit her.
And the other two, which are Valkyries and have access to Summons just the same?
Do you like soft reset the game in case those things happen?
Hi! I'm doing my second runthrough, a Law route, and picking up a bunch of characters I missed by following the excellent recruitment guide on Neoseeker. I've just finished Barnicia castle, and headed to Port Omish for the next step of the Azelstan quest, only for nothing to happen. After double-checking the guide, I realized that it's because I forgot to head to Qadriga fortress after the last Port Omish scene (after Banhamuba but before Barnicia).
So (after a big sigh) I tried worlding back to right after Banhamuba to do it again, but now the "Dread Pirate" topic doesn't even show up in the Warren Report talk page, so I can't even trigger the scene at Port Omish. I'm no dummy (I like to think), but the exact nature of all the World Tarot's systems escapes me. Could somebody help me figure out how to get Azelstan now without having to replay a huge chunk of the game?
Lets say a sword causing poison or petrify on hit, or a finisher causing charm etc.
Will a resistance help if not spell ward?
Or is it status =/= magic ?
Any info on how does it work in this department?
In a previous post I mentioned that I was working on mods for reborn and was encouraged to release when finished. I have two that are currently in a functioning state to present.
I'll start with the simpler one, which is a small modpack that removes class restrictions on various mechanics and equipment; being Weapons, Armor, Spells, and Skills. Weapons enables all weapons for all classes, the same for the rest of the respective types. There are a few that emulate running several at once such as Weapons + Armor, removing the class restrictions on both weapons and armor.
Here is a link to the nexus page, and here is a google drive link if you don't have a nexus account..
The primary mod I've been working on is a personal project that are mostly just ideas I thought would be cool from my time playing the game. Here are the changes:
I will be updating it as I learn modding more effectively and hope to move on to more dramatic changes (such as unique classes). I also intended to have elite monster units recruitable, but my testing there wasn't successful. Yes, dragoons got overbuffed. I haven't tried them that much yet, but I'm pretty sure the strongest aspect is just gonna be having Rampart Aura on a unit with 6 movement lmao

Edit: Note that most changes won't take effect for your units on a pre-mod save until you level them up or change their class back and forth.
In post game (POTD/SB/CODA) I’m falling into the trap of relying on my magic users like matriarchs, lich, princess much more than my melee or ranged units. Anyone else feel like this? I love the way you can set up so many unit combos for debuffs and such, but so many maps are large and end up having the enemy get rinsed by the end game magic classes.
I keep playing the game and I want to explore the different routes but I can't get over how harebrained a scheme they have cooked up in ch1. False flag attacks generally have their cover blown. I don't really want any spoilers for L route but I do want to see how everyone made the choice. Also, do people prefer to new game or continue playing into the post game? thanks.
I am in the process of defeating all 12 of the generals I got 8-9 of them down so far. before I run for duplicates, I wanted to confirm if i can upgrade them together like other relics?
also i need to recruit some little low level skeletons/ghosties for my ensanguined rood to make divines. is Necro the only way to recruit them? ive only ran law route so i don't have access the necromancer marks so no low level necro for me.
is there another way around this?
I'm at chapter 2 and i can turn characters into beastmaster and terra knight. I'm looking for tips and best practices on change classes.
I have a question:
is class stats fixed? like if i hire an archer get him into lvl 12 and turn him into a terra knight, is he going to be worse then a warrior at lvl 12 turn into a terra knight?
Hi I just got the game on steam and the first thing I noticed is that the pixels seem to be "smoothed" out using a smoothing filter and it looks pretty awful. Is there a way to turn this filter off? I can't seem to find it in the settings.
Like every item just says “Inflicts BREACH on a single target” but I don’t know what Breach does.
Most I can figure out to some extent but I like reading what it does and some confuse me.
