The description says they "Are able to increase the power of breast/dragon within a three panel range."
Does anyone know exactly what that increase is?
I know the PSP and Reborn have very distinct active abilities to buff beasts/dragons, but the PS1 description is super vague
I know this is going to sound dumb since I've never played the series but I would like to know the communities thoughts if I should just bite the bullet and play the PSP version without the mod?
Ive seen a lot of posts on this topic and I really can't make up my mind 😂
Edit1: Because of everyones different perspective on the games, I decided to go with VisionOne, I'm excited for this! Ty all!
So my current Lord Denam build is a Double Attack Divine Element Magic Knight using a Biblion Drakontos in the Main Hand for the extra spell range and an Oracion in the Left Hand.
Would the Sagara be good in place of that spellbook even though it’s Dark element and thus opposes Denam’s element???
I see Unlike other non-mace Cudgels it has an actual attack power stat.
Though it’s biggest thing is probably the fact that it has Charge 100 and the big stat bonuses it gives.
But would it still possibly do more damage than the Spellbook when double attacking?
With every class skill in my possession, I realized that I’ve converted Denam into a marginally better Rune Fencer. Debating replacing Conserve RT with Speedstar, but Boon isn’t hard to pack. y rune fencer so good.
guys, i've been lurking this board for a few weeks while playing tactics ogre: reborn and i had no idea what the final boss would be like. the dorgalua fight was awesome and the only loss i had my whole run through law. he threw up condemn first turn and i, like a dummy, didn't bring any kind of absolution so it was a wipe about halfway through phase 2.
Hey all, I got a used copy of TO:tKoL and did some googling, but the only thing I see on how to delete all the saves is to enter the character name "DEL_DATA" but when I start a new game and try to enter this in I can only get to "DEL_DAT" before it stops me and submitting that name just makes it the character name with nothing special happening. Has any one ever done this successfully? Is there a trick to it?
To preface, I've played all FFT versions but wanted to experience this and love it.
I just want to be sure, there's nothing to be gained by leveling in a class besides weapon choice? Just making sure there aren't skills I need to consider because it sounds like Denams Lord class uses that mechanic, but I obviously am not sure lol.
Thanks in advance for any info!
Any advice on how to defeat the ‘shadows’ of my own team? Holy smokes I did not expect this…
I have an undead dragon in my party. It suffers from low loyalty. I k ow the way to raise loyalty is to increase weapon skill, but dragons do not have this (do they?). How can I raise the dragons loyalty? Is the only way by picking up skill cards?
So, I've recently finished Symphony of War, squads on the map tactical rpg and wondering whether this would have a similar feel. Really enjoyed creating each squad individually and then the battle system generally. I know TO doesn't have squads, rather single characters, but I am wondering whether that type of management feel would apply here.
Thanks!
So i'm doing my first actual run of PoTD for my Law route and so far I've been able to go through the early floors pretty easily, granted everyone has their level 50 skills unlocked so despite the level sync being on, everyone's still pretty OP with things like Nature's Touch and Phalanx IV proccing. How hard does the later floors of PoTD get? I heard that they bump the levels for enemies into the 50's later on. Any strategies for taking them on?
Currently i'm farming the winged rings on floor 21 so I won't be going up till I have enough for the people I regularly put in my party. Also, between those and the sidhe's, which are preferable?
This team is usually my main party on PoTD. I've pretty much been exclusively using the uniques since I've gotten most of them. Any pointers or suggestions for them?
Denam - Lord (Double Attack oriented sword user, usually have him tank if Phalanx IV procs, if not I send him to finish up low health enemies), Lightning element
Olyvia, Sherri and Deneb - Shamans, Deneb is lightning shaman for reference
Cautia - Princess (currently dual wielding charge staff and brynhildr) Light element
Ravness - White Knight (spear wielder) Light element
Iuria - Songstress, default didn't change classes or elements for her
Ozma - Knight Commander (1 H Sword, Same as Denam in she mainly tanks tho more regularly since Ivory Tower procs more for me than Phalanx) Ice Element
Folcurt - Cleric (situational really, only in if the floor asks for cleric for a reward) Light Element
Juenan - Dragoon (spear wielder) Lightning element
Once I get the ring to make a lich I plan for it to either be Cressida or Rudlum so slot either one as future main fixtures in the party above (leaning towards Rudlum just cause his stats overall are better than my Cressida tho not by much). I did make Rudlum a necromancer too, took him off warlock as soon as I got him.
So I've been picking at this idea after considering the magic system of the game more closely - it kinda went over my head that the casting of the majority of the spells in this game had the caster directly invoking the name of the elemental god to lend their power for the spell - healers invoke Philaha and Phelana (the light gods), dark mages invoke demon lords/ogres (ashmedai for charm, diablo for diablo's spite), and the appropriate god for every element in between (Neshtarot for lightning, Greuza for water, Lyurnam for ice, etc)
Lodis is monothiestic and sees all other gods aside from Philaha (Filarrh) as heretical. Zenobia practices the worship of all of them, and Valeria is somewhere in the between where the ruling body at Heim and the common culture largely worship Philaha, but the worship of other gods isn't outlawed and is practiced (though I'm pretty sure one galgastani place got put to the sword because they had a cult to the earth mother or some shit)
Considering that the elemental gods just grant their power to anyone who has enough mp while shouting out their incantations (even the manga makes a point to portray wizards casting spells like this), and considering the fact that this entire world setting is built on the aftermath on a war that took place between heaven and hell on earth, it seems like the reason why Lodis sees all the other gods as heretical is because it was Philaha who was sending out angels and protecting humanity in the ogre battle while the 6 elemental gods remained neutral.
Hi,
Couldnt find any, usually there's always a workaround and the game has been for almost 2 years now, is there a fix?
Many thanks
After the final battle I return to my save and now I have Ambition in my inventory. But I had persuaded a Zombie Dragon and an Angel Knight in order to get another Necklace of Resist and a Crescent Bow. Of course they both disappear after the final battle, only Ambition remains, Does anyone know a way to keep those items? Is there even a way?
So I just finished my first playthrough on Chaos route. Did the Lord ending and got all the unique characters for that route along with the shaman class and the summon spells. I know I'm locked out of the remaining CODA (did finish CODA 1 so I have the songstress) so I planned for my next Law playthrough to be the one where I did all the endgame content. My question is before I world tarot to chapter 1, is there anything I should acquire before such as items? I also didn't beat Nybeth in Chapter 4 as I was under the impression that could be saved for endgame but ended up finding out I had to beat him in chapter 4 so that's also for the Law route.
I heard Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, and Final Fantasy 12 are all part of the same world known as Ivalice Alliance.
After alot of research, I heard Final Fantasy 12 is the first (didn't counted Tactics Ogre when that person said that), and I also heard Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle are in the past while Final Fantasy Tactics is the present.
With that in mind, I would like to know if Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle take place before Final Fantasy 12 too? I don't care if only related thing you'll see is just a few same names or something, meaning I can play 12 without playing Tactics Ogre and not get lost. I don't care about that so don't say it doesn't matter where I start cause I already know that in terms of just the writing, I just simply want to play the game in order and that's it cause I think it would be cool to see how the world changes as the game gets closer to the present, just making myself feel more immersive to the world if that make sense, even more so when I heard how much people really liked Ivalice Alliance.
With that in mind... Does Tactics Ogre/Ogre Battle take place before Final Fantasy 12 or after? Lol XD
I'm in CODA2, figured I would try doing the Warren quest to get the palace guidebooks even though my Catiua is dead as hell. Lo and behold, I kill Rodrick and we start talking about Catiua's coronation back at Heim. Afterwards, Warren joins my party. All the guides I've read say that Catiua needs to be alive to get Warren, but I can assure you she has long been in the dirt as my Denam is a lord (this is my first play through, I went full Law). Did this happen to anyone else?
i know im probably shooting in the dark here but have there been any significant developments or progress in modding this game yet?
in terms of data modding, not just swapping assets or changing minor values
my penchant of modding every game i get obsessed over is strongarming me and i've tried fucking with the files a bit on my own to no satisfying results
Which is better?
i wanna play the game as blind as possible, and most likely get the platinun trophy. i loved the final fantasy tactics games as a kid (war of the lion and advance). never player tactics ogre.
are there any important tips/stuff you would tell a first time player without spoiling to much?
Anyone know how to tranfer a save from pc to switch (h.acked)?
I dont want to waste 20 hours playing :(
Or some one has a save in Chap 4 can share (on switch)
Hi has anyone managed to play one vision on iOS?
If so how did you do it and did it run ok ?
I just finished my first playthrough and was planning to start a fresh file to go for no incaps/deaths. I had a couple questions regarding Deneb's recruitment quest so that I can plan ahead.
Edit: I did the testing myself, and the short answer to my question 2 is: Relic upgrades are saved at anchor points, Orbs are not, and the Punkin battle stays active if you trigger it before an anchor point without completing it. More detailed findings below, along with screenshots of some rare text that you can only see by messing with Deneb's quest using World Tarot.
Question for the veteran players out there. Is there a point to equip an off hand weapon (when possible) for the stats? I feel like I remember reading somewhere that the stats of the off hand weapons do not influence your unit, except for shields, and therefore equipping like 2 rods on a mage doesn't give them extra intelligence and I should just equip a shield. Is this true in Tactics Ogre Reborn? Or did I misunderstand the comment?
What's the point of picking their alignment? Will a law character turn on me in the chaotic path?
I used to play this game all the time on my PSP back in school. I played it so much that my parents had to take it away from me. Then, my PSP battery died, and they wouldn’t get a new one. In high school, I got an android smartphone and figured out how to download an emulator to play the game again. It was fun. I remember I had a favorite soundtrack that I listened to every time in the game's soundtrack menu. Even though it's still up for sale, it's a bit too expensive for me right now. I really want to play the game again!
