Do you know if there are any serious repercussions for skipping or missing classes at TCD? I am talking only about lectures, excluding other compulsory projects, practicals etc
Hi! I am an international undergraduate applicant looking to apply for the JH mathematics program in TCD. However, I can't find the option to apply for mathematics and economics; I can only find options for modern language, philosophy and music. Can someone please tell me how I can do this?
Hello trinity students,
We are a bunch of marketing students and we are doing a project around vaping. We are running a survey to gather information and gain insights around vaping.
It would only take 2 mins of your time but would go a long way for us.
Would really appreciate it if you could fill this out - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ZlOVinQLWP2soj6ix73WuMlZDCCuxu78EvQRQPSG4Eg/viewform?edit_requested=true
I mostly spend my time in the Reading Room in Trinity on my days off (my sanctuary!) and pantry doesn’t have a water tap for drinking! The heating is in full blast! Where do I find the nearest water fountain?
Hi, as the title suggests looking to chat with someone who has completed their MBA from TCD; regarding their experience and future growth opportunities presented at the campus.
Thank you!
Hi all!
I was wondering how long it usually takes to hear back about MSc programs? Specifically the business ones.
Opinions on Werner Blau’s exam papers?
Hello everyone! I hope you are well! I want to study law and my first option so far is trinity as I really love the school and I consider it to be the best in Ireland. However, I was contemplating whether UCD would be a better option as its law is ranked higher than trinity law and it also has a dual that interests me ( while in trinity i wont be applying for a dual). What do you think? Thank you!

So I calculated out the average for my first year modules and I ended up with a 64.9, however this shows up in my transcript as a 64%. Does this not round up to a 65? Just applying for international exchange and I want to make sure.
So TCD Medicine students - in terms of studying over 5 years (instead of elsewhere with a pre-med year), did you find first year super intense or did you have the opportunity to make friends and have a social life?
As a 6th Year, I would like to know if you need to have experience in coding or I.T related stuff, as my school doesn’t offer it as a Leaving Cert subject
Hi, I am an international student that would like to study physics in Ireland. Are there any physics students here willing to share their experience? Are any other unis a better choice, or perhaps another country entirely?
wondering if going to the doctor in trinity costs money. I also have a medical card so would anyone know how to go about that as well?
I’m applying for postgrad studies to TCD and I just wanted to know if I should mention in my SOP that I wanna continue working in Ireland.
Hello,
I am looking to have someone take over my student accommodation lease starting January 1st (Can be negotiated) and ending mid June.
I am starting an internship in January that requires me to move, so I need to give the lease away. It is at LIV student accommodation beside the Four Courts. It is only a 20 minute walk to Trinity front gate, and a 15 minute walk to Temple Bar.
You will have your own bedroom and en-suite bathroom in a shared apartment with lovely roommates.
Please comment any questions below or feel free to PM me.
Hi all!
I want to apply to Trinity but I can't find any info on what the American GPA equivalent is for a 2.1 honours degree. I have a 3.4 in Finance and Accounting, would that be enough? I want to apply to the International Management.
Also, how long does it usually take to get a decision?
How hard is it?

I have an appointment with the trinity GP on Friday, and I was wondering where the location of the clinic is? I saw info about it being in Printing House Square or House 47 online but I don't know which is the right one? And also Printing House Square is quite big so I don't know where exactly the clinic would be in that case...
Hi, I’m a student at a french school outside of france, and I’ll be graduating this year. I have two issues when it comes to applying to TCD (as a math major most probably).
Thank you in advance
Like every evening I'm sitting here trying to do study but I'm slowly freezing away. Does this get better at any point. Will Trinity turn on some heating once it hits November, cause this utterly sucks
I’m a visiting student for the semester at TCD and curious about the grades and what to expect.
— Should I be writing my assignments and editing them thoroughly? 70% being an A is throwing me off because in the US an A is between 94-100%.
— How many hours should I be spending on an 1000 critical review in religion.
— And what does the typical TCD student get as a grade on these assignments?
I'm an irish JF Student who has to pay full tuition fees + student contribution and I'm currently contemplating a withdrawal before one of the alleged deadlines by October 31st. A lot of different sites tell me different information regarding the liability for a refund which would be one of the deciding factors for me. One tells me you're only liable for a refund for the student contribution while others tell me you're not eligible for a refund of any deposit if i have already registered.
Additionally, do i initially inform my tutor of my wishes to withdraw and then fill out the withdrawal form? or do I submit the form to him off the get-go

Why do some graduates have the fur gown and some don’t ?? And why is it only trinity in Ireland that have fur on their gown
Hi everyone, i am a student on master programme in TBS and i am wondering about the strictness of professors.
From my understanding, professors generally do not fail students (when they do ok job, not chat gpting everything etc.), but they are strict when it comes to grading 50% onwards. Can you pls say what us your impression and help me calm my anxiety :)
this might be stupid, but i’m an international student about to apply from the USA. if i apply for political science, is that usable in the US or is it like only “irish” politics? if not usable, i think i’m going to apply to the economics, poli sci philosophy major. but i’m hoping to just do poli sci
