Hey everyone, I got accepted into TCD. The first program is the engineering (sustainable engineering). Still waiting on two others and the applications look positive at the moment. I was wondering if anyone has done this program and can provide some insight please. Would really appreciate it!
Did anyone get any updates for their application? I applied first week of Nov but haven't heard anything yet
Hello!!
I applied for the MPhil in Irish Writing at the beginning of November and was wondering how soon after applying did applicants hear back for that course? Was hoping for a Christmas decision!!!
Hi guys, i am applying for Msc in Finance,
I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Debrecen in Hungary. The program is fully taught in English. Could someone please tell if this satisfies the English language requirements for the program? or am i still required to do some english tests like ielts or toefl ? ( i reached out to the uni and they said they can check it only after i submit and pay the application fee (which is poitnless to pay if i will be automatically rejected)
Thank you
Hi! If anyone has taken history or religion modules I'd love to hear your experiences. I'm a visiting student and am interested to know if you have any recommendations for Fresher modules from either, and how difficult it would be to achieve a first in them.
Hello, has anyone received an acceptance/rejection for marketing masters?
Hey guys. I just received my unconditional offer letter to Trinity for MSc Computer Science -Data Science. Stoked about it and haven't slept all night.
So, i have wondering about how the student life is?
Also, could someone share some points over the Job market. Is it easy to find jobs? I have been researching and found few openings but all of them required 5+ years of experience in Data Science and related. I am all confused about the future possibilities. Please help!
PS: I am currently working as a Software Developer. I have 2 years of experience (will be ~3yrs by the time I come to Trinity).
Hello guys,
I accidentally submitted a group assignment paper in the right module but wrong folder in turnitin, only noticed 5~ days later but the original submission was prior to the deadline
Already emailed the head of academic integrity, my lecturer, tutor and academic board about this what are the chances they don't apply a 20% reduction to my assignment.
Hi, I’m an American student currently at Trinity only for this Michaelmas term. As I’m finishing up my final essays for history and political science, I’m starting to wonder when I should expect results. I noticed there’s something called “marking/results” on the academic calendar in January, but I’m not sure what that means. So, older Trinity students: when do you receive a finalized transcript of your grades for Michaelmas? :)
My accommodation at Yugo New Mill is available for someone to take over from the 9th of January onward.
The rent is roughly 320€/week. Located in Dublin 8 in the Liberties with about a 20-minute walk to TCD campus with buses leaving from nearby as well.
The room has an ensuite, bedroom, and desk with plenty of storage space. The kitchen and living room are shared with four other people. I'm also giving away my kitchenware, hangers, rubbish bin etc.
There's laundry and social spaces on the premises, including study rooms, a gym, a games room, and a cinema space.
Dm me for more info! 😊
Hi everyone, I am facing a choice which program is easier to enter TCD. Polish exams (advanced math, computer science and English) or IB (HL: Math, Physics, Business and Management, SL: Film, English A, Danish ab into)? Because as you know, IB is much harder than Polish exams because you need to write more exams and they are generally harder. So I want to hear from you, which program do you think would be easier to get into TCD? I looked at the sample requirements for the program I want to get into and there you need about 40 points in IB, which as I think is harder than getting 90% from the exams in Poland.
Does anyone have any experience with the Brewers Close student housing operated by Yugo? Looking specifically at the studios and apartments. Thanks!
Just got my acceptance for Human Health & Disease next year! Has anyone else heard back for their courses yet?
My accommodation at Yugo Highfield Park is available for someone to take over starting Dec onwards.
It’s roughly 300 euros /week. Located in Dublin 07, it has a direct tram line to Trinity. It also has a direct bus to UCD, DCU, TU Dublin and more.
I’m giving away all of my amenities that come with it— 300 euros worth of Towels, Sheets, some kitchenware, etc. It has a great en-suite, bedroom, desk.
About the neighborhood (Phibsborough): Phoenix park is a 15 minute walk away, there are plenty of grocery stores (Tesco, Spar, Lidl), there is a great community here. There is a gym in the residence, movie room, and laundry as well. It is a shared kitchen, but I have no problems with the people here. Very accommodating staff as well.

I went to the https://www.tcd.ie/academicregistry/exams/past-papers/annual/ and was asked to sign in with my username and password, but when i did this and hit SIgn In. The page just kinda refreshes and nothing happens. If I hit cancel is says "This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required."
I'm certain my username and password is correct, unless it's a different password then other services. I've tried my email and my student number to be safe. Has anyone else experience an issue like this or know how to resolve it.
Hi,
I am conducting reseearch through Trinity College Dublin, I'm interested in understanding the developmental experiences of people with gender dysphoria and is very much led by you and what you think is relevant to talk about. If this is something you'd like to get invovled in please let me know!
Has any received their Msc Finance offer letter for 2025? (International student)
Does anyone know if the in-person IT services are open during reading week? I have been locked out of blackboard with an essay due at the end of the week and exams next way, which has been utterly horrible. Microsoft authenticator will not give me a code since coming up back home, so obviously I need to talk to someone since I can't see slides, recordings, or even submit my essay.
Thanks lol
Hi everyone, I’m looking for someone to take over my accommodation in second semester as I won’t be in Dublin. It’s a classic en-suite in Yugo’s adcairn house in stoneybatter. Rent is 1240 a month. I’ll be happy to provide more information to anyone interested!
Hi there, I'm new to Ireland and confused about the Irish healthcare system. As an international student outside the EU, I only have the medical insurance I purchased when applying for a study visa. If I have to see the doctor, do I have to apply for an Irish medical card at HSE and ask for a GP to accept me as a patient, or just call the Trinity GP to make an appointment directly? Do I need to pay for that? Thanks in advance :)
Are there many summer/spring internship opportunities in Years 1 and 2 in the maths course? I know there are some in years 3 and 4, but I'm looking to get some experience in the first two years.
Hi,
I’m a post grad student at trinity and have been living at Aparto for the past few months. I originally signed a 51 week contract and the reception offered me monthly instead of lump sum payments but didn’t realize this meant i would switch to 41 weeks. Does anyone have experience with changing back to 51 from 41 weeks? Or experience with Aparto. I don’t mind paying lump sum either. Just want 51 weeks back. TIA.
Has anyone received admit from TCD?
Hey, just wondering what is the whole point? Im JH looking at going on erasmus next year and im just wondering do i aim for the best university possible or does it really matter, its not like its my alma matter. Its a year ill be gone but like, is it okay to go to a lesser known university? or is there prestige in the better ones? like will it be something future employers look at or???
Basically the title. Will it seem indecisive if I do so, or amplify the chances of getting into one?
Can the college find out/do anything if you don’t complete module evaluations
Could someone tell me about his experience doing CS JH? I don’t know if it’s a lot of workload or it’s not useful after graduation
I never got a locker at the start of the year, i'm just looking to get one for about 10 euro because i've got a lot equipment to bring in and out a lot of days that I didn't expect, would really appreciate if i could get one.
Hello, I am an international student from chile and have been accepted into Trinity’s International Foundation Programme. I have some questions about accommodation options.
I’m unsure whether it would be better to arrange accommodation in two separate residences—one for the first year at Marino Institute and another for the next four years at TCD—or if it would be practical to stay in a room at MIE for the entire duration of the program (5 years)
Additionally, I’d like to know if anyone who has completed the IFP has received financial aid to help cover accommodation costs.
Thank you for your help!
