I know it's not exactly Sugar Land, but it's close and Stafford doesn't have an active sub that I could find.
Where do y'all purchase lumber? I need to rebuild 20 feet of fence. Are there better places for quality and/price than Home Depot or Lowe's?
I just moved to this side of town, and am wondering about any good vets or clinics? I have a senior persian cat so I’m looking for some who is caring, but won’t try to overcharge me. Also needs to be a place that performs sedated grooming, since literally no groomer will work with him 😂🤦♀️
Hi does anyone know if it's back open yet? Google says closed but thought end of the month.
Is there a rollerblading community in sugarland? I just got myself a pair and have been practicing in my neighborhood, but it'll be fun to skate with other people. I wanna hit up City Park and skate in the skateboard park
On Monday I saw like 5 vehicles just parked with their emergency lights on on the far left emergency lane. No accident, just parked there chilling.
It's not like traffic was at a stand still, it was flowing.
I usually see this on 59S going northbound just after 90, near Stafford area.
Can someone explain to me what's the deal, because I've seen it happen on more than one occasion
There seems to be zero information on places to dispose of sharps/needles that are in appropriate containers in Sugar Land. Pharmacies will not take them, even Methodist hospital who I just called won’t take them. Anyone have experience in throwing these away? (For no cost)
Place just opened and it closed already. Is the closure temporary or permanent?
Hi there! New to Sugar Land (and the country!) and looking for vet recommendations. I like a vet that isn’t pushy as some can be and truly cares about the animals. Also someone who is affordable.
I saw a huge sign near the Popeyes on W Airport Blvd, and 1464, In aliana and a big plot with construction, was wondering if houses were being built or what it was.
Hey guys, does anyone know any places in sugar land I can go to with free wifi that doesn’t play music. I have presentations to give and I need a nice somewhat quiet place that I can talk at.
I’m wanting to learn more about the company culture and just candid thoughts from the group of this company. Does anyone here work at HCSS? Not seeing too much about this software company in Reddit
Any good recommendations for a shop to get some brake pads changed in the area?
Before anyone accuses me of racism, I’m of a South Asian background myself. Genuinely curious.
I’m starting a dog walking group in the Sugar Land area. Not a business. Just neighbors gettting together for community pack walks. Since I want to remain a little anonymous on Reddit, you can find the group by searching for Paws in Motion on Facebook
Dm me and I’ll dm you the group link
Don’t worry kids, it has probably melted away today.
New restaurant opened in Richmond. I tried it, the breakfast biscuits were so good. It got me thinking. Maple street biscuits, why are you here? It got to the area first and the biscuits of which it's named for, are not very good. It can be dismissed now. That is all.
So my friend lives in Sugarland and they want to start learning how to use the piano, a good place to learn as an adult?
I've been searching on Zillow for a while and I've noticed a difference between Sugarland and Houston housing prices. Why is it that Houston has much cheaper prices than Sugarland? Sugarland on average is usually 10-30 times more expensive, why is this? You're getting less Sqft in Sugarland for a higher price. Is this something you've observed as well? For example, you can get a 2500 sqft detached house in Houston for $250k while it ranges $400-600k around the same sqft in Sugarland.
Dieses lokal ist durchweg gut und authentisch, ein verstecktes juwel mitten in Sugarland.
This German restaurant is hands down awesome, consistent, authentic and reasonably priced. Truly a geam. Check out the brunch menu.
Been huge on getting my 10k steps in everyday after work, anybody got some cool spots to go walk at especially at night? Neighborhoods, parks, whatever, I just like getting my steps in and clearing my head somewhere peaceful at the end of the day.
Doesn’t have to be anything extravagant either, I really enjoy finding the beauty in even the most mundane of environments. Thanks!
I'm a high school sophomore looking for an internship this summer. Hopefully in social media marketing.
Sugar Land could be the complete package if it put in more effort. We have fantastic neighborhoods, lovely homes. Wonderful parks. First class medical facilities. Decent Mall . Cute town square. Our own baseball teqm.
But it needs a shot of modernization. We needs a breath of fresh air. It's rather stagnant around here. First Colony needs to release it stranglehold on limiting color and architecture.. So much boring beige here. It looks dated. Some of the shopping centers need new facades..
We need a fresh and lively entertainment area. The Lake Pointe development is promising if it ever gets off the ground. With bars and restaurants along the water. Paddle boats . First class. hotel. Some Luxury Apartments to get young professionals here. Woodlands has that with their Riverwalk. Cypress has it with the Boardwalk.
An outdoor venue would be nice. Where we can hold our own outdoor concerts and compete with downtown and The Woodlands.
I mentioned our wonderful parks, we need more trees along the walk paths. It's hot in the summer. And having some shade would be nice. Better landscaping - aesthetically more attractive than just a barren walk paths. More benches.
Sugar Land has so much going for it but they took the foot off the gas like 20 years ago and didn't progress. Katy feels like the new kid in town that everyone wants to hang out with. Katy gets all the new business ventures. I think it's time for Sugar Land to reinvent itself so we aren't seen as boring bedroom/retirement community.
And as a side note, can we find something else for Dulles High School than that tacky chain link fence with the tacky advertisements hanging off of it. It looks terrible and cheap. Or keep the fence and plant a row of hedges to conceal from the street view.
Does anyone know of a group that plays pickle ball in the evenings during the week or on the weekends. Beginner friendly would be best.
Is the bloom off the rose? Sugar Land's population has declined by nearly 10,000. A definite part of that decline is due to rising home prices in the city.
As much as I like Sugar Land, I have to worry. The lack of multi-family housing (and some people LOVE that lack) makes me wonder about how this affect the economy. Population growth will go more towards unincorporated areas.
Anyone else concerned about this?
A bit out of my way so I haven’t passed by eversince people posted here it was closed.
Today app showed I can do pickup for grocery earliest tomorrow 12 pm. Anyone can help confirm? Thank you.
Things to do in/near Sugar Land on friday night. Specifically people in there 20s that don’t really enjoy going to bars and drinking. Looking for stuff to do and ways to meet people.
