Hey guys!! I picked up my uniform today for my first shift tomorrow and I was given a bandana among other things. I’ve never heard of a workplace having a bandana as part of the uniform (optional in my country). How do y’all style yours? I’m a female if this helps with styling, and I have long curly hair. I feel like I could pull off some great styles!
I've been working at Subway for 3 months now. I started when I was 17 and then turned 18 a month later and was put on a lone close. I genuinely enjoy working at Subway, (much better than when I worked at KFC💀) however I find lone closes stressful.
Trying to balance customers + deliveries + trying to close the shop up by myself is so stressful, especially when I do a 5-10 shift straight after a full day at college. Not to mention the fact that we don't get any extra time after we close to sort the shop out. We close at 10 and we serve customers up until 10, and are expected to be done around 10:20 latest. Like how am I supposed to serve customers until 10 but be closed up by 10?! I'm good at my job, everyone I work with says I've picked it up quicker than anyone they've hired, so it's not an issue with me being able to do the job.
I've not heard of any other stores that do this and I feel like I'm being dramatic for thinking it's difficult? On busy days especially I'm not getting out sometimes until like 10:45, and then having to be up early for college the next morning is so tiring!
Thoughts?
What happens if the person doesn’t click the I’m here and the just come in and take the order
Shredded cheese and cheddar cheese sauce
Where sold out of ranch, for those confused about that box
Whoever made this sub it’s so damn good.
When I order a sub, I only ask for mayo, no other toppings. Most of the time the worker seems pretty surprised since I guess most people load up on toppings. Would you guys find that surprising? Is it a pleasant surprise, or would that make no difference to you?
I have a debate with family/friends about subway salad. Two -three differing opinions.
Is the salad chopped fresh in the morning daily? Is it chopped through the day?
Is salad from the day before put away and used the next day?
Is the salad less fresh at the end of the day?
Questions which are not going to change the world but we can further the debate then all go out (or not lol) for a subway.
As a manager, I want to share (with humor of course) some of the most relatables and as well laughables stories, that we all, as subway workers, experience when the bogo promo is in...
(Sorry about my english, i'm a french canadian i need to precise 😜 )
I run a relatively high-selling store (about like 20k per week) so, my employees don't really want bogos in their lifes...
As the years of experience started to kick in, i had came to observe differents types of strange behaviors in customers when bogo's season arrives ...
This kind of customer divides in two 'sous-groups' , first one is the customer that leave the store immediately in some kind of rebellion, and the second is the one who goes submissive and order at full price anyway, while complaining about it all the way until the cash station.
B) The other group understands that the bogo only applies when ordering online, but they come to the store unprepared for this... they also divide into 2 'sous-groups'
The first 'sous group' is thoses customers who present at the meat station, understand immediately and go sit at some table trying to figure out how the app works... usually after 5 minutes, you hear the happy sound of a mobile order, and if you look closely, you can see the satisfaction in the client's face as he walk toward you to let you know that it is his own order....
The second 'sous-group' wants you to help them figuring out how the app works (usually elderly people, but not always) .... sometimes it can be cute, but when there's a line up, they can be annoying ... if you persist and go all the way showing them how to subscribe and order, you can either make a very happy customer, or a customer who finds out that, finally, he does not have a credit card, so he can't pursue this order...
(This is my fables of the BOGOS, what are yours, fellows workers? )
Overpriced.. underwhelming trash!
I'm looking for tips and tricks to clean our new oven. We have had it for about 3 weeks now and using hot soap and water with micro fiber cloths and scrub daddy[manufacture instructions]it still seems to be getting gunky that's building up over time also little black to brown spots on our inner window etc and our metal racks are getting messy to nothing been working. Hi! I’m a female, 5’1”, probably about 140lbs, and want to start calorie counting to drop some extra weight I’ve put on this year before 2025. Has anyone calorie counted eating mostly subway (or exclusively) and had success? (I know I can’t do a huge deficit, probably -250 a day, -500 if I’m ambitious). Any advice helps! Also considering this bc the coupons are so clutch.
I went to my local subway for lunch today and ordered a sandwich, when i got home with the order, I opened it up and realized it was another customer's order. I brought it back to the store I ordered it from to ask them to remake the one I actually ordered and the other customer that was given my sandwich by mistake was back at the store as well -- also trying to get his sandwich corrected.
The store's solution was to give us both the correct sandwiches that we each OPENED and left the store with. Am I wrong to think this is gross and against any food safety regulations? We both left the location and opened the sandwiches.. we have no idea what happened to our sandwich between him leaving the store and coming back.
The location wouldn't give us a new sandwich without paying for a new one because they didn't think they were in the wrong. Am I crazy?

I’ve got some ding dongs working for me, they show up and for the most part do good, but can’t remember to change the meatball stickers to save their lives. So I’m looking for some sort of timer for my stores, but idk if they’ll remember to reset the timer after the first time going off. Trying to see if anybody has timer/alarm recommendations or even other ideas to help remedy this problem. I’m just waiting for Steritech to show up and get hit for it.
Hey everyone. So I recently just lost my job a few days ago. I worked for subway for 1 and a half years. I liked it until stuff started to happen
I’m going to start out by saying I will be changing names while I am explaining the past year.
My regional manager, let’s call her Jamie has a son who was hired a few weeks before me. His name is Ray (changed). He is a year younger than me (19) and was moved to a location that my RM manages. This location was inside a Walmart. I moved to Walmart about 8 months after starting at subway. I was put on open, open, open, close, close, the days I closed were days Ray had off. When I would come into my first open shift of the week after Rays close it would be a mess. Chairs would be up but tables were dirty and the lobby floor always had crumbs even tho he claimed to have swept the night before. Chips row was never filled, the tubs we put the sauces in were never emptied and cleaned, he left empty sauce bottles on the line, garbage bins on the line were never clean so they always had written food in the bottum. Under the white cutting boards it was always dirty with crumbs and stuck on food stains. Basically this employee was allowed to do a crappy close all the time but no one could say anything about it to Jamie the RM because she was his mother.
My manager Josie (changed) promised me, and my co worker Tess (changed) the assistant manager position the reason there was two of us is because my manager managed a stand alone location and the Walmart location but worked under the RM Jamie. Tess started her assistant manager training at the Walmart location. About half way through her training my bosses decided they no longer wanted her to finish training due to the fact that she needed days off for medical reasons that aligned with days she should be training so behind her back they made the decision to start training Ray the RM’s son to be assistant manager at Walmart. Within a few weeks of his training Tess opened the day after Rays close and wrote a list of everything he missed that night. She sent the list to Jamie. Jamie the RM got mad at Tess because as it turns out while Ray was doing his assistant manger duties of counts at night Jamie is actually the one who did the close. So Jamie made sure Tess was never scheduled back at Walmart again after that. After all of that happened no one else wanted to say anything about the way Ray did his job because none of us wanted to loose our jobs over it.
Josie started to go through a hard part in her life which started affecting her work. To the point where since she was a manger she would open, and leave at all times during her shifts. Whole being clocked in at the store making excuses of “oh I need to get my kid, or oh I need to do deposits at Walmart but then taking two hours to return” me and a few other coworkers when to the RM Jamie and told her what was going on. Josie got in trouble multiple times. A few months after Jamie the RM told Josie who the employees were the told her in confidence what Josie was doing, and what they had to deal with. Their excuse was that it was because they were best friends.
My managers brother Dan (changed) is a drug addict. In the back of the stand alone store that Josie manages he always does hard drugs, and smokes pot. No one has a problem with it because it’s the only way he does his job. (I should preface this by saying I am 5 month pregnant when this next thing happened) Dan started work at Walmart recently. A few weeks ago he was in the area where we keep the mop and the facet for it. And he smoked his hard drug there. IN THE BACK OF A SUBWAY IN WALMART! I did not say anything over fear of loosing my job. Not to mention that like I said I am pregnant. I understand I probably couldn’t have gotten a contact high but he knew I was pregnant and still continued to do it. Making me scared of working there and touching everything he touched after.
I got a write up one day for “talking crqp about my coworkers” at the time I signed it but later on I found out that my manger Josie was calling all of my coworkers and asking them and trying to get information from them to write me up for this topic. I feel as though she used it to retaliate against me for talking to my RM about how she was doing her job. I also got a write up for my uniform. Wearing the hats gives me headaches. My bosses knew that and still wrote me up. But my RM Jamie doesn’t make her male employees wear aprons because it’s not appropriate for them. I also feel like I was wronged for that. The last write up I got a few months before being fired was over the fact that all weighed meats (I.e. steak, rotisserie, Teri, and strips) were out as well as sliced roast beef. This happened on Rays shift. So instead of problem solving he went to Josie and got me in trouble. NO ONE bothered to check the labor report to see how busy it was. Ray never bothered to open packs of meat and dump them in a pan and throw a scoop in it and call it good. So I got in trouble because someone decided to throw a fit and couldn’t use their brain.
The day I got fired on November 3d 2024 I came into work and it was a shit show. I didn’t have half the prep I needed, no mayo and NO ones. I called my RM and it went to voicemail so I texted her. She told me there was no way we could be out of ones because she just did change Friday. She said she was at a family members house. I went to the back and I was having a breakdown. I was on the phone with my best friend who was trying to help me at the time because I was crying. I hit my no nicotine vape, (because I’m pregnant and needed to stop nic so I am doing no nic to help with cravings but so I’m not hurting my baby) and as soon as I blew it out my RM walked around the corner. She asked me why I was in the back and I explained why I was having a breakdown. I also told her I could no longer work at the Walmart location because of the bs. And she asked why. In fear of loosing my job I didn’t say anything about her son or her bestie or the coworker doing drugs, so I simply didn’t answer. After she asked me if that gave me a right to hit a vape so i explained the situation again and explained it was no nic and that I was having a breakdown. She then said I was terminated and that I needed to leave and give my key back. So I left. Yesterday my boss Josie called me asking for my last four social digits, and she said that Jamie would not have fired me over the vape. She said she doesn't understand why i was fired either especially since i was supposed to be moved back to the stand alone location starting November 1st.
I feel as tho i was wronged, I also want to report everyone at that place but I don’t know how to. We have no HR we have no one to call because of the franchise. What do I do!? There is obviously so much more that happened but please if anyone has advice i would appreciate it so much because right now i feel like Ray should have been fired a long time ago along with Josie and Dan. So what do I do!?
TIA.
First, the commercial still shows the expiration date as 11/2 (November 2nd)
And the app on my phone is not accepting the 699FL coupon code?
What gives? Am I missing something here? Why are they showing a commercial with an expired date?
I'm gluten free because I have an allergy, it cost me 28$ to have a regular footlong @sudbury subway. Its usually 20$.
What would be total labor hours a week, for a Subway store I'm looking to purchase, with open hours of 10-8?
Update:
I meant total labor hours, sorry for the wrong heading, I can't seem to change it.
306K Sales per year
Currently open 10-8
Location: Dallas, TX
So last Thursday I ordered subs for my family and tried to get it delivered. We ordered it on the app which is powered by DoorDash when it came around to where delivery was supposed to happen nobody had even taken the delivery yet. The store employees couldn't help because it was on the app they said then blame doordash. I called doordash and got the order canceled but the store still charged me $75. I've tried multiple times to talk to the manager I left my number for the owner and has gone nowhere. I'm not sure what to do I just want my money back it is not my fault that they're delivery system failed.
Posting for a friend. He's kept this store a float for years. He took on manager for a year with virtually no raise. I told him he needs to use up sick pay because he deserves it but he treats the owner buddy buddy and didn't want to use it all at once because the store would suffer. That owner ended up selling the store overnight and the new owners told my friend he has no sick pay now because it's under new ownership. Is this right, does he have any recourse or is he SOL?
What’s the biggest catering order y’all have made? I made an order this week for 150 lunchboxes and it was kinda an awful experience. So happy I could stress and sweat over this catering order for my measly wage so my owner could make $1500+. lol
This girl at my job voted for trump and just has to let everyone know. Customers will walk in to order and the first thing she asks them is “Aren’t you glad about the outcome of the election?” And they just look uncomfortable. The whole closing shift she just wouldn’t shut up about it and honestly it’s starting to make me uncomfortable too. So is it okay if she talks about it at work? (we work at subway if this wasn’t obvious)
I live a 10 minute walking distance from a subway and these promo codes keep me full on the cheap for an amazing price :D I really do love subway and I think there sandwiches actually are good and consistent. Sometimes they give free cookies or a drink 🔥
Set subs are coming. Just in aus for now but by early next year they will be rolled out everywhere.
