Hey everyone! So I'm going away to uni next year but I've taken two gap years so I'm a little older. I need to move into a house share as I've literally couldn't cope in halls but I don't know how to find a roommate. I don't know anyone going to uni. Any advice?

Being a student in high school I often find it difficult to study for tests while sorting through all my notes.

So I came up with the idea to create an app for that. By taking a photo of your notes my app will transcribe your information and organize it so its easy to study without looking through all your papers!

As an international student I can work within 20hours, I have work for 6hours this Sunday and 20hours for next Monday to Saturday.

So do they calculate it from Sunday to Sunday or Monday to Monday? Will I be working overtime?

I (18f) am doing an apartment share at uni with rebecca (18f). Initially, she seemed excited to flat share, however, it’s been 1 week and she seems to have changed. 

When we first were planning apartment sharing, she seemed very nice. I was happy that even though I was doing going to uni in a new place, that a roommate that seemed nice. However, now that we have moved into our apartment and started uni, our dynamic seemed to be very different. 

She is more extroverted than I am, so after uni or in between lessons she goes out more whereas I don’t rrly go out as much as her. am worried that she doesn’t like me because I’m not as outgoing as her.

I’ve also found that when she speaks to her other uni friends, or speaks to me when her uni friends there, she speaks with lots of enthusiasm and more energy (the same way she spoke to me when we first planned flat sharing). But when she speaks to me by myself, she speaks with less enthusiasm and less energy.

There was also one time when rebecca was sitting in between myself and her friend (julie). I think they were talking about me since I noticed they were whispering a lot and kept looking at me, whilst shushing each other. I overheard rebecca telling julie that she regrets sharing an apartment with me, since she thought my personality was dry, even though I have only been here for a few days.

Things are still rrly civil with my flat mate and I, so nobody has said anything directly to each other. I rrly like my apartment and don’t want to move. Does anybody have advice on how I can become closer with my roommate since I feel like we haven’t really been able to bond much?

I have been preparing for this exam for tye past 6 months and a lot has happened .i lost someone really close to me and some other intense things but i still made sure to study and give enough time coz this was a pretty important exam..all the hours ,the amount of hardworking i put into this,the money everything's wasted..I successfully wasted half a year and I couldn't even pass the exam.i put my life on hold for the past 6 months and all of that was for nothing.i feel like such a failure.idk anymore I feel like I have just deteriorated as a student..I have completely lost all the confidence in me and I hate myself for it.. why do I feel like nomatter hat I do I won't be able to achieve all the good things in life..am I doomed for failure I life?.I put my health on hold to prepare for this and at the end I have nothing..I'm exhausted everyday and the thought of repeating this is killing me.its not as if I don't want to do this ..believe me I want to but then if I want this so much why is it so hard to achieve.. hi so i’m a freshman in high school and I have literally 0 extracurriculars, and it’s my dream to go to medical school (which is very competitive) and have no extracurriculars is kind of a disadvantage. The issue is, i’ve tried out for sport teams in my school and well I didn’t get selected. Instruments? I did in fact take guitar lessons but i’m EXTREMELY bad at guitar, I cant even play the ‘beginner’ guitar tutorials, also how exactly would a instrument count as a Extracurricular i can add to my portfolio unless i play in a band or do Trinity. (which is out of the equation because at my age there are people who have been playing an instrument all their lives and i don’t have to proper facilities to get good). Volunteering? in the country that i’m in there aren’t many valid opportunities to actually volunteer at my age unless your parents know people who can help. So am i cooked? please give advice, im genuinely worried that i’ll never have any.

Im a 18 female high school student. I lived in sweden about 3 three years between the age of 13 to 15. I now live in mongolia. I wanna study in sweden Upsalla university to be specific. But my family cannot afford the tuition. My single mom doesn’t like the idea of me studying in sweden obviously because we are low income. But i really really wanna live there and i think there is some hope for me. Living and studying in Sweden was my biggest dream ever since leaving stockholm. since i moved to another country my grades keep dropping even though it's my 3rd semester here, i am so worried about my GPA .. bcs if my GPA be low i don't think i can get internship or even find a job ... and i feel so much pressure but even though that i try hard my grades don't get better instead they just get more worse, at this point i feel so devastated and i don't know what to do anymore ... any advice?
