Hello everyone. I honestly have no idea how it is getting so close to Valentine's Day already. Dylan is pretty bummed that it looks like his school isn't going to allow them to exchange anything (even amongst friend groups) this year. They also seem to not be allowing candy to be brought in or anything. They are even talking about catching anyone who does it before or after school. It's kind of sudden and weird. But that's where it's at right now. He has been working hard even with missing days due to his ailments. Apparently he passed his mock EOC tests for credit for classes that count as a must pass with his magnet program. As well as a high school credit he earns in 7th grade. In addition to his adult certifications for computer study areas (cyber security, video game design, etc.). I really don't know what speciality high school he is going to want to go to. Hopefully he can narrow something down when he starts 8th grade next year. 😆 I wanted to request something that will make him happy for Valentine's Day. He is obsessed with this book series right now so I am requesting a book out of the wings of fire series for him. He reads them as fast as he can. So right now these books are his love language. I am all for encouraging him to love books despite being dyslexic. He really has taken to these books. It's kind of amazing to see! I also think he will love the Hersey's kisses. Because it Valentine's Day and of course chocolate is a thing! Plus these are good with his food allergies. So they are perfect. Thank you all for the love you have shown and continue to show us. I mentioned on u/Sylvia0701 post earlier how my girls especially came home from school yesterday asking questions about the holiday and the lantern they colored in class, and I was looking forward to showing them her pictures of her kids’ red outfits and beautiful decorations.

u/MonikaMon I can not thank you enough for William's power ranger GAO zord Jewels. He has not put them down since they came in and absolutely loves putting them up to the sky and pretending, they unlock the zord. (What they do in the tv show so guessing thats what he is doing) In the video he keeps putting his hand in the bag as its folded and taped so he thinks there is something else to pull out, but the envelope folded inside, which baffled him. Thank you again, these are going to be treasured for many years to come.

When I was little, my parents would leave a stuffie and a treat on my pillow every Valentines Day. I still remember it very fondly as an adult, and now as a mother, I love being able to make my kids feel special on the small holidays as well. Thank you all so much ❤️

Grace, 15, is already talking about Valentines as her circle of friends is going to exchange gifts. She has spent literally hours scouring through Amazon for the perfect items and has decided on Kumori tattoos and Daisy plush flowers. There are 7 in her group so she said she is going to give the extras to girls that she sees could use one. William, 14, doesn't exactly understand Valentines but is growing like a weed (he's now 5ft 4.5in) and will absolutely love some treats. He attends school virtually, but they are trying to incorporate Valentines into some of the learning. When we used to go to the bulk candy store in the mall the filled gummies were a favorite with the turtles being his absolute favorite. I know it's on the early side, but with all the pink and red aisles popping up in stores, December is already suuuuper excited for Valentine's Day. As for me, I can hardly believe we're over halfway through January already! Winter is in full swing here, and if the weather forecast is accurate we're going to actually get snow tomorrow...in Florida. Brrr!

We call it "New Year's Eve", similar to Thanksgiving Day. But on that day, we eat chicken, and then our Lunar New Year, which is also called "New Year's Day".
