I'm watching Eyes on the Prize, and Bobby Ducote seems to mention that Jerry Bird is his "uncle."

Are they really related, or is he just trying to show how close they are, like family?

Not sure the best place to ask this, but I’ll be in the OKC area for work next week and trying to find some racing to watch in the evenings. I’m a bracket guy from NC but would love to see some legit OKC street racing. Trying to figure out where I might could go. Would really appreciate some suggestions or if I could link up with someone!

Edit to say for the hardos: asking for OKC racing, not necessarily the TV show style street racing. Just some grudge racing. And not wanting to just pull up on anything by myself, was asking about linking up with someone that could show me around.

Had a surgery earlier in the week and was 50/50 if I could make it. Decided against it. Would prefer the tickets to go to a father and son or father and daughter. DM me if you already don't have tickets and could use them. Hopefully you're a Murder Nova fan as well.
