I was moving the pad one day pushing it. And one of the legs came off. So I decided to take all the legs since my tv is very low. If I play without the pad being elevated will that cause damage to it. When the legs were on I did notice it was loose. I would hear a creaking sound and the weight kinda unbalanced. Does anyone who also happens to own this pad have it set up without the wheels and legs put on?
I was trying to set up Outfox after years of running Stepmaina 5 and I remember I changed an option that changes the jump to count as 2 steps instead of 1 thinking it was set wrong but now it is wrong. I've tried everything to find the option to change it back but now I can't find it again, so I need help trying to find it.
Thanks much in advance!
Hello! Just started playing dance pad games after over 10 year pause and 40kg more fat.
Just tried few easy songs and my muscle memory hasnt forgotten the moves, but damn my muscle memory nearly crippled my body when there was crossovers and moves where you have to turn your back to screen.
So where can I find a list of different techniques? Only one I remember is crossover and after googling "DDR cross" I might be in FBI watchlist...
so i got notitg recently, and i'm making my first modchart using the mirin template. the problem is i can't find the mod that merges the playfields of p1 and p2 into the center of the screen.
this might be really simple and could possibly just be a stupid question to ask but i can't figure it out hep
Hey guys, I am thinking about making a university paper on creating stepcharts for new songs using neural networks. To train it, I would need to use existing songs and stepcharts. Does anyone know if the ITG songpacks would be free to use for this? Alternatively, can you suggest some free-to-use songpacks that would have a lot of charts that are higher quality than the original ITG charts.
Cheers!
Hey all. I’m new to this community. I used to play stepmania many many many years ago. Back in 2005 while in HS. Recently download Beatstar on the iPhone and my 8 year daughter loves the game. It brought back great memories of me playing the game day and night. So I have an older laptop and was hoping I could download the game with the classic DDR songs and the crazier ones that are 11+ in difficulty.
Where can I find this and do I need to download each song separately? Is there a packet already made? Also, I found a cheap mat on Amazon that came with songs already installed and my kid loves it.
Thank you
Hello! I've been charting for some time. I mostly chart based around our playgroup of nobar players, capping out at ~10nps on the high end.
I am now working on a song at 204bpm with a 221bpm section, 16th streams, that I'm gonna have fun playing on keyboard. I'd like to have it playable for the (from my perspective) insane bar players, if any should ever stumble upon it.
But I have no idea what kinds of patterns are easy (/doable) with a bar at such bpm. I looked at a couple charts in that range, and I can't really tell what is supposed to be easy or hard with the way it's supposed to be played. For example, for us nobars at lower speeds, if I wanted to make some section really easy, I would just put 2 arrows alternating. But I don't see this at all in these high bpm stream charts, so I figured maybe this is difficult, like repeated identical jumps?
But I just can't tell, since I have no one who plays at that level.
If you could give me some patterns/generic ideas/links to somewhere that shines light on this, I would appreciate it, my chart would benefit :)

I just downloaded Stepmania today, I'd like to know how to add songs to the few available in the game, if it's possible, in particular metal and rock songs.
Please submit all song requests/queries here. Requests may or may not be answered but if you know the sim already exists please link the requester to the appropriate info.
Please be sure to check out the 'Download Songs' Section of the sidebar before submitting a request, chances are the song you are looking for already has a sim of some sort.
