Hello,
Can I get Yuzu AppImage to run from a portable configuration source? It's possible on windows using the `user` directory, but I can't seem to be able to replicate this on steamdeck Yuzu appimage. Is that possible?
Why game theme music add-on doesn't work anymore since months?
Hello! I am new to the steam deck and I want to play fallout 4 and fallout new vegas. The problem is that I cant get any mod manager working for the life of me. I cant install on the internal storage because I only have 64gb of memory. Is that really a problem? I always set a path to my sd card. I tried mod manager 2 for linux and it kind of worked it was super hard to use. I could only use it if I launched the game in steam and the screen resolution would be so fucked that it was hard to install mods. I also tried vortex but for some reason Lutris wouldnt install it and when I tried to launch the exe installer through steam through compatibility mode, it just wouldnt start. I tried using pikdum and it installed but after I installed the mods, I couldnt launch the game even though I only added one mod to remove insects I tried Lutris but it wouldnt install Vortex or Mod organizer. I just want a simple mod manager running on my steam deck so I can add a mod to replace the insects and also add sopme hairs and bodyshape to my character. But nothing is working even after I used some tutorials. Please help me.
Due to TunnelDeck unfortunately not working anymore since the last set of SD patches I am looking for a VPN solution while in Game Mode. I live internationally and Xbox Cloud Gaming will not work unless I 'relocate' my IP to the States.
Yes I know how to set up a VPN in Desktop mode but that has no impact in Gamemode.
Anyone?
As the title suggests I just got a new deck. Never owned one and am very excited. Wondering if there are any must do tricks, hacks, mods, configurations etc right from the beginning
Does anyone have a guide on how to install RE4HD project on Steam Deck? I've been trying for months now and I still can't get it to load.
I tried both Fitgirl and Dodi's repacks with no luck. I checked all the properties made and tried various versions of Proton and no luck. I also added this line WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
Also tried copying the install files from PC onto the Steam Deck and still no luck.
I saw that both zenless zone zero and honkai star rail have their own particular launchers that manage installation and updating by thenselves but i havent been able to find one for genshin.
Is there one?
I don't know if it's an international side or just for Germans. But in Germany it's a very know key seller. Bought many Steam games there over the years, always paied with PayPal. But now it's gone? Can't find anything online, do you guys know what's wrong?
Hello, I’m new to the community and new to steam deck in general, I need some help with emulation, I downloaded emu deck, I want to play some retro games like god of war, but when I’m trying to load it it just takes me back, maybe I did something wrong when I was installing but I’m able to play games for N64, GBA y GameCube, I wonder if someone had the same problem
I like to play docked on my Steam deck, so I use a PS5 controller (tho it's acting up, and I'm changing to an 8bitdo ultimate 2c controller soon). The problem is that I can't access my option button (the button with the three dots right below the right touchpad) unless I reach over and press it on my Steam deck. The option button on the PS5 controller only brings up the info menu for games. I'm hoping that with getting a controller with extra mappable buttons, I could remap the option button so I won't have to get up every time I want to press it.
But is this even possible and has anyone done it yet? I can't find any info on Google about it.
Hi everyone,
I’m replacing my laptop with my Steam Deck, and with a 2TB SSD, space isn’t an issue. However, I want to make sure my data is encrypted.
I’m considering Veracrypt, EncFS, or maybe something else? I’m experienced with Debian Linux and comfortable with the command line, so complex setups aren’t a problem as long as they’re secure and practical for regular access.
Any tips or recommendations from those who’ve done something similar?
Thanks in advance! 😊
Is there any way to download my Xbox games onto the steam deck without having to go through cloud gaming. I've been using this app called xbplay on steam and have been playing my cloud games that way but sometimes the servers can get laggy. Some games just don't offer cloud play and would love it so I can download the xbox games onto my steam deck, and not have to have internet in case I'm traveling.
How do I play it offline? frustrating
I have followed all instructions in stanto.com and have successfully activated a TDP of 20w, with GPU at 2000Mhz,
However overclocking past 3.5Ghz for the CPU just seems impossible, with or without PowerTools. Are there any documented ways of getting this enabled? It's already at 4.0Ghz at BIOS level
Also, I have a TDP bug whereby even with PowerPlay enabled in PowerTools alongside persistent profile, the TDP in game will remain at 15w upon next boot even if the limit in PT shows 20w. I basically have to flick it up to 21w and then back down to 20w for it to activated,
So... even if the CPU adjustment is impossible, is there a way I can maintain an overclocked TDP at system level without the use of PowerTools?
Wanted to fix the clockspeed to the overclocked amount but just doesn’t seem to go past the limit?
I see a lot of people talking of how that added vent behind the fan ruins the airflow and i can completely agree. Would covering up the hole with idk some sort of heat insulated take help? Both in absorbing heat and redirecting airflow from the lower vent through the fan blower?
It keeps crashing after 5mins please help.
Hello everyone,
hope this is the right sub for help. Basically I was wondering if it’s possible to create a simple button press macro for Diablo 4 to automatically keep triggering an ability.
For context: I am playing a Spiritborn with the “Evade” build which means I constantly use the Evade ability which then triggers skills. I simple want to hold down the evade buttons so my characters keeps evading without the need to repeatedly press down the button.
The reason is very simple: spamming the button is just too loud when gaming next to the wife at night in bed and I want to find ways to reduce that noise and such a macro seems like an easy way to accomplish that. :)
I am however not very tech savvy and tried a couple of things on my own with the button settings but didn’t work so far.
If someone could help me out how I can best accomplish the above use case, that would be appreciated.
I have tried multiple options to fix it but none have worked. Any suggestions ? Or am I cooked chat ?
Quick question: How many % does the battery lose per month while in Battery Storage Mode and how long can the Deck stay in that mode without being charged and without taking any damages?
My earbuds connect but I get no sound, help?
My buds2pro have always connected well with my steam deck but it seems randomly it just stopped working.
It still connects, and i can hear the sound when it connects, but other than that no sound.
I checked desktop mode and it's connected but I don't get a sound there either... just the sound of me adjusting the volume.
Any help? Is this a bug with the new update? I even tried restarting and reconnecting my buds.
Hey everyone!
I picked up way of the Samurai 3 or 4 during the current sale.
I played way of Samurai 3 on my desktop and when I switched to my steam deck, it says the steam cloud is up to date & the 2nd pic shows 1.05mb stored.
But when I launch the game on my steam deck it shows no save files in game, and I can only start a new game.
I have tried launching the game in different proton versions with no success.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!!
