Star Wars: Force Arena was announced in November of 2016, and was released on the 12th of January 2017. Force Arena was officially shut down last week on March 19th 2019.
This subreddit was launched with the announcement of the game, ready to be a centre of discussion, hype, tips/tricks - everything that you could want for a subreddit of any game. There were users ranting about the game, people helping other players, posts that praised the developers and posts that didn't. This subreddit was built around the game.
With the game now being offline indefinitely, this subreddit will be archived as well. Any posts that were made before the archival will stay up, but further submissions will be locked.
From the Modteam: Thank you for being as great of a userbase as you have been. We've all been players with different goals and ideas, and the passion you have for Force Arena has absolutely come across on this internet forum in the way you all talk, rant, ask, and interact with other users. This has been a fantastic place to moderate.
May the Force be with you.
what if we made a new subreddit just remembering (the good and the bad) of this game?
Hey, did someone managed to get the images from the character gallery? Saved the couple I got, but none of them were complete (specially those of singular cards to lvl 5) so I was wondering if anybody got them or know where to find them.
And thanks for all the fun.
I stopped playing over a year ago now, but it created good memories and I never forgot it. It's a shame the game is ending, but I'm just happy that it happened in the first place. Here's hoping that soon somebody else gets the Star Wars license and does something this good with it.
I hope we get another game that’s similar one day.
In case my megathread comment wasn't seen enough, here's a link to a Google Docs sheet that contains the full text of all card biographies, datacard set bonus names and effects, gallery descriptions as well as the quotes for the saga missions. Note that there are some typos in the text, which are preserved with sic and are expected from a game that wasn't developed in the United States.
Examples of typos found in this text dump include misspelling the word powerful in the T-70 X-Wing bio, the sentence fragment "it will likely be too late for the enemy in the sights of these trooper’s powerful blasters" in the Resistance Sniper bio, and the sentence "They’re ability to eliminate targets at extreme distances is far superior to all clones." in the Clone Sharpshooter bio.
its because of IG-88, there're almost 0 game that let u play as IG-88 with disco guns nad 360 degree tornado spinning. RIP SWFA and may the force be with you
I was Ares with the guild Sithology. I liked to say good luck when I lost to higher levels than me because they’re lucky they paid money and I didn’t 😝 I was a salty player
Would love to know if there were any jerks I played in this reddit 😃
buff maul
Somehow I started playing Minion Master on Steam because a booster pack was free there which then reminded me again of Force Arena. Then i picked up Force Arena again and it was so much fun. God damn I cant believe that the game I wanted to pick up again and had a blast playing again just got shut downed. Damn :(
Fuck
This was definitely my favorite mobile Star Wars game and top 3 favorite games. It was so fun to play and was a whole new kind of Star Wars game we’ve never seen before. It taught me much and I will never forget. RIP
Hi all. I'm poyo from the guild KnightsofWrath. I've been playing the game more or less since the beginning, and it has been a major part of my life throughout its existence. While I've never spent any on the game, I've invested a lot of my time playing it (especially in 1v1, 2v2 arcade, and draft) and watching others play it. I would like to thank the content creators that indirectly helped me with my gameplay (u/oTradeMark, u/Nomadics_SWFA, u/AliciaDestiny, u/zonkara, Seanners) and other OG entertainers that I used to watch while I'm eating (u/glutenslayer, Bossj03l, Jonytobi, u/Awallvs, u/JigglybeanTV) to the dataminers that make pre-updates exciting (u/Mr0riginality, u/chimbraca).

The toxic and the childish part of the community aside, it's been a fun ride despite the game's many flaws. I personally have no regrets. To guildmates and (non-asshole) rivals, it's been a pleasure playing with and against you. Obiwan007 from InfernoSpies, if you're reading this, you're one of the most gentleman players in the game for refusing to use broken stuff just for the sake of winning. The game needed more players like that.

Thanks all. And bye, Force Arena.

PS: I'm going to miss playing Sabine. Here's a clip of me playing her, backflipping to take a healthpack, just because she's awesome:
