Just got the notification that the couriers have received my Hornby Hobbies parcel, which (as I'm not a model train enthusiast) can only be the diecast refit 1701 I ordered after seeing it mentioned on this sub!
I'm so excited because my existing 1701 refit model died recently during some decoration. It was one of the lit snap-fit together models and never very sturdy and it was just gone beyond repair. I'd been looking for a replacement for a while and so pounced on the Corgi as soon as a I saw it!
I'll update with pictures as soon as it arrives.
I am usually just lurking but I felt pretty proud of this today and wanted to share. The hardware is just a cabinet support I got from Homedepot. Measured a bolt that would fit into the space left for stock stand.
Altogether seven dollars and it came as a set so I can still mount another Enterprise.
What if the nascent Starfleet had designed the DY100 series starship instead of it being the private venture in canon? What would its warp capabilities be? Would they still have option for cryogenic sleep for emergencies? What would its range be like? What would its mission be?
Xxx
I'd like to think that the USS Eagle, flagship and the first of its series of the newly formed Starfleet would be the forerunner of the J/Y-class freighters. It would initially have a mixed mission profile in that it would not only transport freight, but also scientists and explorers in hibernation, plus carry 40 crewmen (10 officers, 30 enlisted) to uncharted worlds within 10 light years of the Sol system. It would feature a M/AM reactor with a smaller fusion generator for emergencies, and be capable of at least W1.8 (W2.0 for 10 minutes.)
Stars within 10 light-years of Sol:
Any details beyond that, I'll leave up to you.
Just wanted to update everyone that I took a month or so but I finally got my version of the Stargazer. Hope everyone is getting all their stuff in a timely manner too.
Hi everyone. So I know this logo is emblazoned on the Phoenix on certain Playmates toys of the ship, and also through reading I know it is an official logo and features in the film (but it is apparently hard to spot). It doesn’t appear to be in the same location as the Playmates electronic toy of the ship and I cannot for the life of me see it on any First Contact footage. Does anyone know where it is shown on-screen (it apparently is) and has a screen shot or advice on where I can see this?
I ask as I want to do a paint job in my Playmates ship to make it more accurate to the film and I I do not want to remove the logo if it is in the correct place.
They’ll soon start selling the XL Enterprise-F as well as the XL Protostar (From Prodigy)…
Can I buy from them if I live in Brazil?
Thanks in advance.
