I've been trying to login for like 4 hours now is there any fix for this? is it an internet issue? a server issue? is it because of the free fly event? I've already reset my router and my pc like twice now and its still giving me the error.
Hi all, I need opinions :)
Am I taking too many crazy pills? I am thinking of upgrading my Starlancer Max to the Starfarer! GASP!
Why? For more roles, and because of speed.
The Starfarer gives me more(or the same if carrying a vehicle) cargo space over the MAX, so that is not an issue. I do not particularly care about the interior since I cannot see myself ever really using the rec area in the MAX, and I dont mind the look/layout of the Starfarer.
So both can do cargo fairly equally. Both fly almost the same, though the farer is a little less manueverable. But I feel like if the MAX is gunna fly pretty much the same, and I do not give up any cargo, then why not gain more roles and possibilities with the Farer?
What possibilites? Well, obviously refueling, though I am not sure it will actually be needed in Pyro. But more importantly to me: I can take those tanks off and lock the Vulture and another ship like the intrepid into the Farers back area. This seems like a lot of fun to me, and gives me the chance to just go offgrid deep space for weeks and fill up the Starfarers cargo with my salvaged materials. But, for those that have done this: how hard is it REALLY? Will it be hours of frustration trying to "dock" ships in the Starfarer back?
Other questions: how far are we from several of the Starfarers baked in abilities? Namely:
I do like the MAX, dont get me wrong. Its just that it flies pretty much the same as the Starfarer, and the cargo is similar(though yes, the MAX side cargos are very convenient.)
Also, in regards to the starfarer and its gemini counterpart: what are the main differences?
Thx for any advice or ideas you may have!
I'm surprised this isn't more widely addressed by the devs. Many people avoid buying pledge ships with real money because they see the "6 months insurance" and assume it’s a limitation.
How did this not come up in basic UI testing?
I just talked to a friend who decided not to buy the game at all because of the 6 months insurance on the game+ship package. I had to explain to him that if you buy with real money, you actually keep the ship forever. If I was not there to discuss with my friend, he just would have moved on and spent 0 moneys.
But, this is completely unknown to anyone who uses the purchasing website.
This whole system is very confusing and could very easily be made clearer.
I bought my F8C on Nov 18th....is that too late for the paint???
I haven't got the paint or the dang cool flag.
Which I thought everyone gets the flag regardless of if they have the ship.
Could someone clear this up for me? I'm so sorry if this was already asked...I tried looking for it. (Maybe not hard enough)
I thought I’d use one of my hats for controlling power on MFDs, but I soon realized I can’t control the bars on them with shortcuts, I still need a mouse to, let’s say, add or decrease the power coming to the guns. What’s the point in having MFD shortcuts that allow me to focus on them, but not control all the stuff on them with keys?
Will they be implementing at some point injuries due to turbulance or the buffeting of a missile or torp strike to a ship. A ship getting pelted with an ass ton of fire should cause all internal objects to get bounced around. Will this be a thing? Say im not sitting at a ship station and the ship rams something or gets hit by a missile, will i get knocked off my feet and potentially incur an injury? Are they planning this level of physics based interaction with the surrounding environment?
Is not anyone else concerned given how already so many ships have had thier speed nerfed? Giving ships a shield boost seems irrevalant since they will do no good when you can't use them trying to escape. I don't understand how this is better?

Went down the rabbit hole of rare ships, skins, etc. in star citizen and recently learned about hangar items like the Banu Cube and the Xi'an Puzzle. I've also learned about rare perks for early backers like free hangar fees and a golden ticket(not the f8c one). What are some other interesting and/or rare hangar items that you know of? What are your favorites?
I don't mean as an NPC so much as basing in one.
As Pyro comes online I found myself just hanging out at Seraphim occasionally running combat missions as I take a break from trading. They're whatever, I'm mostly working on Rep so maybe higher levels will be more interesting but... it just got me thinking.
Imaging being based not at Seraphim or Everus or any of that, imaging basing in a station on a border system. The missions aren't what they are now they're against rampaging Vanduul. The Jump Point could give birth to an incoming fleet at any time. You earn rep with the UEE Navy and high level operations are with UEE fleets...
Imagine trading something that only exists 7 jump points away but is desperately needed by the front and you really are smuggling goods to the front line through enemy fire, trying to get any support you can or just fly under the radar.
I spent a decent chunk of time in Helldivers and it got me thinking... all we really need is an enemy race on the other side of us and then imagine Helldivers at Star Citizen's scale...
*shrugs* I dunno...but it could happen.

Hello! I'd like to ask what's a good build for the comet For ERTs/VERT's/VHRTs?
I just bought one in game and was looking what's a good build for it
I get a 19000 error every time I launch. I followed every piece of advice I could Google until someone said try a vpn. Worked!
Now here we are, over a year later. Still can't play unless I start a VPN first. Wtf?
Edit: I live in the US and have great internet
People only seem to want to do P3. I get that it's probably more fun, plus I'm a little late to doing P1 & 2 but I've tried for a week with no luck. I've tried doing them solo. I can kill the enemies just about, but couldn't locate the cargo (marker showed inside an asteroid??) or the NPC hauler had been destroyed already.
My friends and I are looking at building a fleet around…. Isolating cargo ships and ultimately stealing their loot.
I know, I’m evil. I’ll stay in pyro, probably.
Currently we have: Ironclad (whatever the loner is for now) Cutlass blue (until Zeus MR) Paladin (redeemer)
We have another player who doesn’t want to sit in an ironclad turret. Any suggestions under $400 that would make this a better all round fleet?
So many people come on here and just talk About how shit the game is, and no matter what they do these same people see nothing but the negatives. Why do yall not just sell your account or just leave it? Looking for a discussion, not a shit show. Just wanna know why!
I’ve been a backer for as long as the merchantman’s been around. Just for an fyi :)
(Ironclad because it’s sick)
This is a LONG shot, but I am wondering if anyone has a spare event ticket for the F8C? I didn't have time to play during the events, so I missed it. If anyone has a spare they wouldn't mind parting with, I'd greatly appreciate it!
Edit: I was able to secure one! Thank you to all of the awesome people in this community!

There are 3 newbie guys who have different tastes. One of them loves dogfighing while other one loves cargo transport and the other one just loves exploring. I have been searching for a somewhat cheap starterish ship for them and the current expo is a great way to test everything out there. At first, I thought Freelancer Max is a great choice. But it may lack firepower and maneuverability for dogfighting (or at least defending itself). Then I heard about Cutlass Black. It has some storage, decent weaponary, good controls and a small frame. They are looking for a versatile ship which can accommodate 3 people, can defend itself easily against pirates and shomewhat nible. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Pyro being so unforgiving, it would help if players can set bounties on other players for killing them. It would be nice if when you get smoked there was a log about it in the journal so you can plot your revenge and make a KOS list. I think we lack the basic necessary tools in pyro for the player base to enforce any kind of pvp law. 4.0 is such a barebones release with placeholder textures and the same old mechanics that operate Stanton, social upgrades to the game should be a major priority so we can have sandbox gameplay while other real game loops come online. Thoughts?
