Hello
Can I fly the Starlancer Max in the PTU if I haven’t purchased it? Is it given to everyone like the Corsair two years ago, or is it available for rent at the IAE? If it's at the IAE, how often does MISC show up?
Context: CIG and the company they are contracted with to make star citizen models, JRDF, are taking down all star citizen models across the internet. Both paid and free models that people hand made.
The paid models, I get. But the free ones people hand made is bullshit.
I made a spectrum post detailing how their 1:500 models are so expensive, that ONE bottle of resin for those 1:500 models (that are 25-35 dollars and no bigger than 1.2 cubic inches or so, or no longer than 2 inches in length) turn each bottle of resin, at worst, into 1400 dollars of revenue.
That is bare minimum 3x overpriced all things considered for an unpainted model.
Blizzard and games workshop, who are crazy about their IPs, do not do takedowns like these. They do it here and there, but not blanket and across the board as CIG/JRDF has done.
I will copy some portions of my post here, to give you an idea of how shitty the pricing is of the 1:500 models (unpainted)
Drake Herald: 1.8"x0.9"x0.7" -35 USD unpainted. This is worse than 40k prices. A bottle of 1kg of resin costs 20 dollars. Per bottle, non bulk. That drake herald, if it was completely solid resin (which you cannot do, it HAS to be hollow) is 18 GRAMS of resin. Or.... 1/55th that bottle of resin. But lets be really really generous and say 1/40th for support material. They can print 40 of those drake heralds for 20 dollars. To put it in dollars, JRDF is turning 20 dollars or trying to, into ~1400 dollars. That is stupidly insane prices. That makes GW look like saints in comparison. And I am saying this as an avid warhammer fan.
This is abysmal. I am disappointed in CIG as they constantly talk about how cool the models people print and paint are and encourage it, while also just nuking literally everyone who makes those models to do that.
Say what you mean, and mean what you say CIG.
My Turtle brethren, lend me your power.
The VTOL animations are still reversed and we're running out of time before this goes to live.
The previous Issue I started didn't go anywhere. Let's see if we can give this one some traction.
If you're a turtle bro and want a major visual part of the ship's character preserved, take a look and confirm. Let's get it fixed.
Is the Reclaimer the biggest valid soloable ship? By valid, I mean it make a bit sense.
Where can you buy those & how much UEC are they?
I’m waiting for the ironclad to go on the market so I can buy the upgrade, I’ve already got a ccu chain up to the starlancer max and I think I’ll end it with the ironclad not sure.
Has anyone experienced an issue with their Andromeda cargo grid, where when you place looted armor, helmets, etc and then try to pick the up manually, you end up falling through the deck… even worse if the cargo hold is lowered you will fail through the planet?
The ship weapons occasionally only make the pew pew sound but don’t actually fire and lasers?
I've seen several times now that the Tumbril Storm only just barely fits or doesn't fit at all, but CIG has directly confirmed that this size should fit. Will there be any changes?
Prospector is bugged saying that the cargo is full when in fact it is empty. It says Cargo Full but also says 0 of 32 SCU used. When I extract minerals they just disappear. I’ve tried logging off and on again and it seems to persist any help appreciated!
Hey fellas, i decided to check out StarCitizen and see how much its evolved since i last played (maybe 6months to 1 year ago).
Logged in, made my character and took off in my gattling corsair to work through the bounty certs.
I get no marker to show me where to go, so i figure maybe its a instanced scenario i just have to get close to a moon.
So i QT to a moon, and it dumps me like 65mm away from the planet, kind of out in the middle of nowhere. So i try to QT to my destination maybe a dozen or more times. doesnt work.
Finally QT to another location, so i can backtrack to the original moon i was going for.
Finally get into atmosphere and like the true champ i am, i overshoot my landing marker and make a SWEET crater in the ground.
Respawn, get in a M50 to go get my gear and i have no death marker...
Anyways, i know roughly where i was so i go back. Land near my body, get out of the ship and in two steps i clip through the planet and have to quit to menu.
Get back, decide to just do "strictly space" stuff.
Get the reclaimer and pick a claim. spend a few hours eating tiny ships.
Go to sell my RCM and CM at a salvage site, see i have to drop it off on a cargo elevator, so run to the cargo elevator and clip through the ground again.
I know there were bugs in the past, but this seems truely unplayable, i am hoping someone can shed some light on how people are still playing it if markers dont work, QT works 1/3 of the time and you just fall through the surface of planets consistantly? Is there a player made fix? maybe a setting i enabled by accident? or didnt disable? Any help would be appreciated, if this is just the state of the game right now... massive props to the people playing through this, thats freaking dedication.
If you don’t have a group to do the cargo mission you can steal the objective ship….
I've recently been debating getting back into Star citizen, currently have a cutlass black pledge from way back. I don't have my PC since I moved to a different state, haven't had it for five or so years, occasionally play on it when I return home. Thinking of shipping it out to where I currently live. Mainly just to have it again, but also because I've been getting sucked back into the promising black hole that is Star Citizen. Can anyone that currently plays the game tell me if the performance has gotten better? my PC is probably pretty outdated as far as the CPU and motherboard go, and is probably due for an upgrade. Graphics card is currently has a 1660 super if I remember correctly, also probably dated at this point. Would I even be able to run the game anymore?
Noticed a few things today with tractor beams ect and some missions. but for the first time in a while i lent out a lot of ships to some newer players and instead of all landing in my hangar and lowering them 1 by one i ran out of time and decided to see what happened if i clicked store and i can activate the elevators inside everyone hangars all at the same time.
done have enough time today to mess around with it but its interesting and perhaps using fleets is becoming more of a workable deal in game.
Where can I rent a Reclaimer? I'm considering buy one to solo salvage RMC, but not sure if it's more efficient than Vulture.
So the last time I played SC was pre-Master Modes. I updated and installed everything last night and played for about thirty minutes before I had to call it a night. Safe to say that a ton has changed, especially around master modes, balancing, and all new keybinds and changes to existing ones. Does anyone have a good guide or maybe YouTube video that would help basically teach me how to play again?
He's looking to melt and reset his fleet, I've spotted these in his buybacks, most are not warbond, any insight if any of them are worth getting value-wise for a fleet re-build?

I don't usually ask for advice or input as I carefully weigh my options with what I do in game and CIG availability, but I'm in a tough spot with this one. I slowly upgraded my first starter to the Redeemer after a few other ships a while back, and its this package that has my original Squadron 42 package, so I don't want to just melt the Redeemer for something else, I want to upgrade it. Even before the Redeemer nerf I was looking to trade it in for something more in line with industrial gameplay as I'm now in my 50's and my game combat reflexes aren't what they used to be, so I don't enjoy ship combat as much as I used to. I still do it (hence holding on to the F8C, it suits my skills as they are) when I get that itch but am moving back to primarily industrial gameplay.
So, what do you think I should upgrade the Redeemer to with my current lineup? I'm also waiting to see what surprises CIG has for us with IAE, so I'm not in any rush.
