I'm having a great time :D
I miss stadia so much.
about to have another kid and stadia really helped me through the first one’s weird sleep schedule and locations.
I was hoping remote play would work well but nope.
Maybe I can improve my network in some way, but at the very least the way they stream inputs is awful. With stadia if you did something on the controller it would reliably hit the server together even if network interrupted things.
In D2, this meant a hunter dodge (double tapping the right button) would reliably happen over network interruptions but today I just kept kneeling intermittently as the network was stumbling.
Stadia tech had a lot of quality in it and I wish Google would bring it back or sell it to Sony or something.
Does anyone know how to connect stadia via Bluetooth to iPhone 14? Since the delta emulator has gotten popular I’d think this would be a perfect use for the stadia controller.
Hi everyone,
I just got a new computer and tried to get my stadia controller to work with it.
I looked through this sub and read up about Vigem. So I have downloaded Stadia Vigem, HidHide and Vigem bus.
However, I can’t seem to get my controller to be recognized. I am connected via Bluetooth but in games (in particular I’m trying Assassins Creed Valhalla through Ubisoft Connect) and online (gamepad tester) the controller doesn’t work. I notice that Stadia Vigem is not on the lower taskbar, which I imagine is a problem?
Would love your help. Even a step by step of the whole entire process would be helpful here, so I can see if I missed a step.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I found Stadia Viagem in my taskbar, but it can’t detect the controller!
Edit: got it to work! I had to re-pair my stadia controller.
Steam has created a beta test allowing the creation of a family group with similar conditions to those of Google Stadia for sharing games and play them locally or in other cloud alternatives such as Geforce now. I have created a family with former stadianers, if someone of Spain is interested just let me know via message. I miss the Google Stadia

I've turned my controller into Bluetooth, and paired it with my PC. But it's getting recognized natively only in very few games. Even when using Steam Input, it doesn't always work (like Trackmania, Assassin's Creed Mirage or Rocket League), but the stadiacontroller software from GitHub works though. The thing is that I don't really want to launch a software every time I want to play, and that rumble doesn't work with this
I've already tried to factory reset it by the way, by pressing Google Assistant + Capture, and even reinstall the Bluetooth mode from stadia.google.com. I'm on Windows 11 btw. Any help ? I don't want to play those games with my crappy MSI controller :(
Right now they dont work, however some games that are not on Gamepass are getting the play with Cloud Gaming icon. That's probably a sign that soon you will have the ability to purchase your own games just like Stadia.
This, along the MK support and the console-like UI (both for insiders for now) are clear signs that Xbox is getting ready to make the Cloud a full Xbox experience
Hi fellow former stadia enthousiasts. I’ve been trying to use my stadia controllers with my windows laptop for a while now but I can’t seem to get it to work properly.
Is anyone able to share some tips on how to solve this? I love the controllers and it would be shame to leave it in the drawer.
Edit: if it matters anything, I’m trying to connect via Bluetooth
I run the video game/eSports club at a school and have about 15 kids who play a variety of games on PC and consoles I have scrapped together. I was given some pretty crappy hand me down 3rd party Xbox and PS4 knockoff controllers from the previous coach and I'm hoping to find an upgrade for the club. I was a stadia user and use my controller at home with my pc and find it much more comfortable over the ones from school.
My question is: before I think about spending my personal money on buying some of these controllers to slowly swap out over time, I figured I'd ask the community if that is a dumb idea. I know support is ending but I figure I could have a collection before it's cutoff and I trust the build quality and connection over cheap Amazon ones that fit my budget.
I was planning to take mine from home tomorrow to test but after some research it looks like you can plug in the audio jack if the controller is connected USB. I have them plug in with a USB adjust and that will save me the headache of the kids trying to plug in headphones (I spend about 10 minutes after each club meeting double checking connections because children) to the back of the PCs.
I know ideally Xbox/PS4/ps5 controllers are the best option but I could get a couple of these for the price of one official Xbox controller. I'd rather have 15 stadia controllers instead of 8 Xbox and 7 kids can't play.
Edit: these will only be used with USB since our desktops don't have Bluetooth and to allow the headphone jack to work.
Any feedback or tips would be appreciated
What are the chances of this being revived? As the same name or something else? Man Stadia was perfect for me! Nothing else matches to this! Right now I'm trying to get into emulator but just the same! 😞
Hello everyone I was wondering has anybody tried to hook up their Bluetooth stadia controller to their Google Chromecast????
I tried so many times. The Chromecast recognize it as a Bluetooth device but it won't connect to the Chromecast.
Any help will be very appreciated!!!!
Hi. This is the first time I use the controller since Stadia died on us. I'm so glad to successfully play Gta on Netflix with the Stadia controller on my Samsung tab s9 ultra. Just a positive note
So it's still a year later, I find myself typing stadia.com into my browser, call it a force of habit, but I really miss all the games.
That's all.
My favourite streaming platform now has my favourite game!
If you still have yet to give Amazon Luna a go, if it's available in your country.. what stopping you!?
Might give Google another chance if it gets a new CEO and change their shitty culture of constant project abandonments.
For all Xbox Cloud Gaming users, the browser version got a big update:
The Menu Guide is complete, bringing the following:
-You can create a party outside of the games
-You can send messages to Friends
-You can see the last game you've played and his achiviements
Also:
-The dashboard can now go full screen
-There's a full notification center
-The search tab has been upgraded
Honestly this upgrade makes Better the best part of XCG for me: that's is really feeling like a full Xbox on the Cloud. Is really cool.
I know GTA 6 is scheduled to release in 2025, but does anyone know if it will be on Stadia? It's been a while since I last played GTA and having this on Stadia would be game changer.
Considering that Star Wars Fallen order is available, I don't think it is a crazy assumption, but i haven't seen nor heard anything about it. What do you think?
Alright so just picked up a stadia controller yesterday at game exchange and they said it might work for steam so I said why not it's 20 bucks, Google and Reddit say to hook it up to desktop with USBC and steam why detect the controller but it won't work. I pressed buttons why the light was white and controller buzzed but the light keeps going back to orange idk if that's an issue, I charged the controller for like 40 mins tho
So I picked up the white controller for like 10 bucks on eBay and loved it. It's feels great in the hand and easy to clean. I really want to get a black version, but does the black version have some kind of coating on it? All of the pics of black ones on eBay seem to have some kind of coating that's easy to scuff, vs most white controllers, even if scuffed look like you can rub off the scuff marks. Are they different in texture? Will the black one be harder to maintain in good condition?
Hi all, I've been trying to switch a Stadia controller over to BT mode but have always run into the issue of the unlocked controller not being detected once I get to step 3 where you allow it to download the firmware. I've tried different cables, every usb port, it's charged fully on every attempt. After doing some digging online and finding nothing that was working I figured I'd come here and see if anyone could help me troubleshoot this. Much appreciated in advance!
Hi.
I had played quite a bit of the Grid career on Stadia and Just before the Stadia shutdown i was able to get a copy of all my Stadia saves via Google takeout. Was just wandering if there is a way of transferring my Stadia save to the Steam game to pick up where I left off as I was far enough through that I don't feel like starting from scratch.
The file extension for the stadia save is different & trying to just copy the stadia save into the save directory for the steam/windows version doesn't seem to work.
So is there any way to get this working or is this just a game it won't work for?
Thanks.
