I am trying to plan a family trip for the fall of 2025. I see that this year reading week was the week after Thanksgiving. Does anyone know when it fell last year? Trying to see if it's the same every year or if I am stuck waiting to book the trip.
Just thought I'd post for anyone interested in this program. I've already been accepted to other programs I prefer but lmk if you have any questions :))
Hello,
I'm looking for feed back on persons currently doing the bridge course for option 2 at St Lawrence.
Scholarly Writing, Nursing Informatics, Health Assessment, Transition to the Role of RN, Microbiology Biochemistry & Pathophysiology
Also all January student if you guys will be interested in connecting.
Thank you
Hey guys! I'm looking for a tenant to takeover my lease that's until the end of April 2025.
Currently renting a room in a shared student residence that's an 8m walk from SLC and a short bus ride to Queen’s.
House was just renovated including a basement remodel, new paint and flooring, new bathrooms and kitchen.
It's 830$/month, utilities included, room is unfurnished but has a dresser, storage closet, and my desk that I'd be willing to sell cheap.
Feel free to ask questions/reach out to me!!
I've been accepted to this program, and looking through the courses I know it's something that at the very least interests me/I could do, but I wanted to know what types of jobs/employment opportunities you guys have seen. Where did you get offers from, what did you do, was there more emphasis on PLC or electrical work, etc.
I also noticed in the courses listed on the website that the program touches on electromechanics/mechatronics and pneumatics. How often do these topics come into play in a career in this field?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated
I didn't know how to title this but does anyone go to the Kingston campus SHAC (I think that's what it's called?) and what's it like there.
I'm a pretty anxious person so I wanna have some actual people tell me their experiences and vibes that are there! Also, when is it the least busy there (days, times) so I don't get stressed out.
I'm also curious if there are workers to help guide people with working out or is it just people doing their own thing?
Hi there. I’m wondering if anyone can give me some feedback and insight into the pre-service fire program at St. Lawrence?
Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone in the CDA program could provide any info about the structure of the program, such as how your schedule is laid out for each semester and the types of assessments in your courses (papers, exams, practical assessments).
Thank you :)
Trying to find some spots around campus that quiet to study in between classes
Hihi, international student here. In Vancouver atm, and I’m trying to apply for the Culinary Management program (#1003) at St. Lawrence College. I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for a whole month now. I’ve called and emailed, but no one’s getting back to me.
Has anyone here taken the program or know for sure if it qualifies for PGWP? I'd really appreciate any help so I can get my application in ASAP.

Hello, are there any first year nursing students at the Brockville campus willing to share their ANP, ENG, PYSCH and Intro to nursing course outline and syllabus with me. Please I need it.
Hey everyone! I recently applied to SLC Kingston campus for winter intake (January 2025) and I just wanted to know how the practical nursing program is at SLC and its acceptance rate.
To give some perspective, I graduated high school 1.5 years ago and I went into Western University for Kinesiology and realized immediately that uni isn’t the right path for me. I finished my first year with pretty bad grades and decided to drop. My high school grades aren’t horrible, I have a 72% in grade 12 bio, 97% in grade 11 bio, 88% in grade 12 chem and 80% in grade 11 chem, 99% in grade 12 English, and 90% in grade 11 English and lastly I only took grade 11 mixed math, which was a 85%.
Realistically, do you think I’ll be able to get in?! I’m interested to hear about some of your experiences at SLC and approximately how long it took for you to receive some sort of offer?
thanks luvs <3
Hello everyone, I'm searching for an affordable single room in Kingston for this fall semester. Can you please suggest some options. Thank you!
Do the residence buildings have common kitchen areas? My girlfriend says there are but I can't see anything about them on the website or when I did the residence tour
Just a quick heads up to remind everyone to register for the crisis intervention course if you haven't already.
For those who haven't, make sure to sign up soon!
You can find more detailed information on: Blackboard➡️YR1 Additional Placement Requirements➡️Crisis Intervention Training
I'm looking at my schedule online, and two of my classes are at the same time on the same day. I'm doing pre-health and it's a one year program.
Anyone know who I should talk to about this? Or should I wait a little longer for the school to fix it themselves?
Edit: emailed them, told that timetables are subject to change and I should wait.
Class registration/section slots opened up today and I've selected the sections that are available but does anyone know how to register for them to secure your seat? It just says it's in my shopping cart and planned but not registered.
Hey everyone, just wondering does anyone have their schedule for bachelor of nursing yet? I’m studying at brockville campus starting in fall 2024 and have yet to receive my schedule but some of my friends in other programs have!
Hey everyone,
I will be starting practical nursing in brockville this September. I will be commuting from ottawa and if anyone wants to rideshare please feel free to DM me. I guess it will be easier to coordinate once the schedules are out but still wanted to make this post as there might be people looking for rides.
Cornwall fellow mates, if anyone is interested in hooping or playing basketball hit me up, we will have a chill time!

Hi, at st lawrence cornwall, it is possible for one to study overnight at campus?
How important is the orientation for new students? I’m going to try to make it but I’m not sure if I can.
