Hi I’m 22 and I’m looking for people to talk to in the area, love some femboys (I’m abit of a butch myself) add me on sc if interested ;) kaizbski
I’m considering renting a 3-bedroom apartment in Ashtons Green, Parr (St Helens), which seems perfect for my family, especially with our newborn. The place is spacious and affordable, but I’m a bit concerned about the crime statistics in the area. I’ve heard mixed things about Parr and want to make sure it’s a safe environment, particularly with a baby. Does anyone have recent experience or knowledge of how bad the crime rate really is?
I’m also curious if there are specific streets or areas I should avoid or if there are any community safety measures in place. Is it generally a family-friendly area, or should I look elsewhere? I’d appreciate any tips or personal experiences from those familiar with the neighbourhood!
Context - Me and my girlfriend, both from India, have recieved job offers at St. Helens and Knowsley. It's quite a miracle to have landed jobs at the same place. We both are doctors and currently in our mid twenties. We did live for 2 weeks at Liverpool and really loved the city. Just wondering how St. Helens is. Should we live here itself or commute from Liverpool?
Once proud, St Helens’ streets would hum, With voices bright and crowds that’d come, To bustling shops and market squares, Where life and joy were everywhere.
But now these streets feel hollowed, bare, Ghosts of better days linger there, The heart of town beats soft, so slow, As empty storefronts line the row.
Yet hope remains, a whispered word, That change will come, the future stirred, With plans to breathe new life again, And wash away this town’s old pain.
The talk of change, the dreams we weave, Of brighter days that we believe, A regeneration soon to start, To mend St Helens’ weary heart.
We hold our breath, we dare to dream, That once again, these streets will teem, With laughter, light, and bustling cheer, And townsfolk proud to gather here.
St Helens, we’ve not lost our will, Through all the quiet, hope lingers still, For in this place, our roots run deep, And in its soil, our faith we keep.
Hi guys,
Got tickets to the women’s grand final at 4:30 but can’t make it anymore. Don’t want the tickets to go to waste so if anyone wants them for free let me know and I’ll email them to you.
Just posting here because it’s quite short notice so going to someone local would be better.
Thanks
I don't live here I met someone who did in August and he told me a story about how he killed his neighbours cat, it's been eating me up not being able to help so if anyone has lost their cat and their neighbour is a tall fat scouse who wears glasses, has a stutter and is literally about 7ft with 2 kids(girls from my understanding) he shot your cat, he thought it justified because the cat would go in his garden and poo, if I were you I'd also try and get him done for it, he was absolutely disgusting how proud he was of it.
Hello everybody, I'm a 29M planning to relocate to St Helens. I love playing casual football, so I was wondering if you have any Sunday league football teams or anything related here?

I have just found out that the historic Hardshaw center is being knocked down. Having lived in St Helens all of my life and spent many of my younger years shopping around in there, it holds a special place in my heart.
I have created a quick poem for it and what it meant to me,
Hope you enjoy:
In Hardshaw’s heart, where footsteps danced,
Through bustling lanes, where time entranced,
I wandered free, a child at play,
Among the shops, the endless day.
M&S stood proud, with doors so wide,
Where mother’s hand in mine would guide,
TK Maxx, a treasure trove of dreams,
Bright aisles filled with endless schemes.
Argos, where the catalogs piled high,
With toys and wishes stacked to the sky,
And Café Zinho, with treats so sweet,
Where tired legs found rest, a seat.
These walls, they held my laughter's sound,
Echoes of a time unbound,
But now the shutters slowly close,
An era ends, a final pose.
My heart aches for those vanished days,
As memories drift in a gentle haze,
The Hardshaw, in my mind,
Is where my youth is safely lined.
The world moves on, and so must we,
Yet in these stones, my soul’s decree,
A piece of me will always stay,
In Hardshaw’s halls, where I once played.
SINCE WHEN was the hardshaw closed??
I haven’t been in a good while so I thought I’d get the bus into town only to see that it’s closed?
Do we know when it will be opening again?
Thanks all

I want to know what kind of shops or restaurants are missing in your area that you wish you didn’t have to travel to bigger cities like Liverpool for.
We have a property that we are looking to develop most likely into a restaurant type business. My dad has had success in opening multiple fast food places from burgers, pizza’s and kebabs to fish and chip shops to grilled meat and rice. He has suggested turning the new property into one that focuses on burgers and pizza’s but I just think that the market is soo saturated and people are looking more towards healthier options that are just as tasty.
My idea is an all day brunch restaurant that has a calm and colourful atmosphere. Food presented instagram worthy with a high end vibe but at an affordable cost. Menu items including but not limited to açai bowls, steak and eggs, eggs Benedict, avocado toast, maybe a full English with a twist. Accompanied with smoothies, hot and cold coffees and teas. The aim would be a good place to meet with friends for a catch up, day dates or to relax and enjoy on your own. I also thought that the space could be used in evenings for coffee and cakes with potential to host activities like pottery painting or pizza making.
What are your thoughts? Be brutally honest.
Would a healthier version of burgers/pizza’s sound more appealing to you?
Or is there a demand for a completely different kind of establishment in your local area?
The premises we have is located in the Sutton area, so let me know what would entice you to come to the area.
Thankyou

A short while ago I mentioned I was doing some research for an episode of my true crime podcast.
I thought the group might be interested to hear that the episode has now been published.
It covers the murder of Glynce Ashcroft in 1987 and to listen, follow the link below.

Any idea if there's any basketball courts where random adults (i.e. not students) gather to play some pickup basketball? I miss that from when I lived in other countries (US etc)...
