What does a person do in this town on a Friday night?

Hey, I’m new in town (like John Mulaney) and wonder what folks do in this town on weekend nights for fun. I’m not LDS, although I’m good with family friendly fun.

Moving

Looking to move to the STG area. I know it’s pretty expensive but is there a closer area to move to that still give me great access to the National Parks out there that maybe has better job opportunities than STG? Ultrasound tech would be the job I’d be looking for

I’ve heard Washington county has the most expensive electricity in the state. If true- why??

What determines the cost of electricity in the area? I was also told by someone from the city that the power company is switching its billing to a tier system, so if you use over a certain amount of power your bill will be a set amount. Paying over $300 for power alone in 1,200 sqft feels ridiculous. (Edit, I live in north east Hurricane but the sub for Hurricane is practically dead… was just hoping some fellow Washington county folks here would have some info)

Haunted places?

Anyone know of any places to look around at at night? Grafton has security cameras and apparently it's illegal to be in cememtarys at night. And I'm not wanting to do anything illegal haha

Places to be Naked?

Sorry in advance if this type of post is not allowed.

I am a self-proclaimed "nudist" and pretty much looking for places in or around St George where I can legally be naked outside of my house.

I know there is basically a 0% chance of something, but if anyone has any insight that would be great. Thanks!

New Young Adults Weekly Activity Group

Hey Everyone, I'm starting an activity group for young adults here in St. George! I'm hoping to make finding something fun to do a bit more accessible here in town, most of the time it would probably be fairly basic (board games at the library, or spikeball in the park type thing).

Age range at the moment is around 18-26 and I am hoping to get it started within the next few weeks

If that sound interesting to you check out this quick survey and that will also give you access to the group Discord!

What do you look for in a nail tech?

Hey everyone!

I just moved here from SLC, and have been a nail tech since 2015. I am STRUGGLING to get nail clients here in St. George. I specialize in gel nails, and perform advanced cuticle work. I am curious, what do you look for in a nail tech? What makes you love your nail tech, or what makes you hate them? Trying to figure out what I need to do to get more ladies in my chair 🥰🥰 pic of my work for reference

Renting question

Is it common practice for landlords to raise rent each year in Utah? Mine is due to go up $100 just after 6 months. Only thing I can think of is sign a really long lease to lock in the rate.

Looking for people to trial our business

Have you ever wanted to have a painting of your partner, a family portrait, your dog or whatever your favorite photo is? I always loved the idea of painting but unfortunately I'm not the best at it. A few months ago though a friend and I came up with a cool idea, what if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers. That way anyone can paint, anything they want.

We looked up custom paint by numbers and found a few Etsy stores selling them but they were way overpriced and most of them didn't even come with the canvas on a frame. So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers, eventually we managed to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed (you can still order them without a frame but we found most people want them ready to go out of the box).

Long story short though we're trying to grow and get more people talking about us. So we decided it would be a good idea to reach out to some local subreddits and hopefully you'll enjoy them enough to share your experience :)

You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early.

The Mesquite Time Warp

I keep forgetting that when traveling to Mesquite, you have to leave 20 minutes after you want to get there.

Relocating

My wife is trying to convince me to leave Florida and move to Washington/ St. George area( her hometown). I told her I’m not opposed but would like to know the job market first. I do landscaping and I have previous experience in corrections. Is there a market for me to be successful in the area?

I'm looking for the updated MODERNA COVID-19 booster, but everywhere I've checked only has PFIZER.

Does anyone happen to know where I could find the MODERNA booster in town?

Thanks!
