we've been visiting around the west coast for the last 2 weeks, sightseeing and doing different excursions. and decided to stay over here for tonight until tomorrow evening before we head off back to the uk. so i was wondering if there were any nice places to go to or eat? i like thai food or probably a "traditional" american diner (ive only ever seen them in movies!). though, any recommendations are open. thank you!
Does anyone have insights on monthy rates for rv spots on the county? Asking for a friend who is looking for a place to park an rv to live in for a while. They're having a hard time finding anything that isn't like a thousand a month plus.
The department knew the brakes were out on this vehicle, they were aware there was no functional seat belt, they were aware they man they made drive it was uncomfortable doing so and still made him do it almost costing him his life. The department is taking no responsibility and blaming it on him as he was the operator. Someone needs to be held accountable for endangering him ( he broke his back in this accident as he was thrown from the vehicle) and the public
I have a three year old who is very shy and very nervous.
We go to parks and I try my best to help them feel brave enough to go play without me, but they are so afraid and anxious around kids. I work full time and they’re at home with my partner and don’t get a lot of interaction with other kids, I know that’s why they are so shy.
Does anyone else have this issue? Does anyone know of any programs or activities you can take your kid to? I am wanting them to get used to being around and talking to other kids so they aren’t so shellshocked when they’re school aged.
Why don’t parents take their kids trick or treating anymore? My husband and I are at home really bummed that we don’t have kids coming to our town home to get some candy. We always go all out with decorations and make sure to have plenty of candy, but it gets more depressing every year. We’re wondering if Halloween culture has died here. Not to mention the lack of houses decorated. Losing the magic of Halloween is worse than losing the magic of Christmas😩
Edited because I put apartment but it’s actually a town home next to a rich neighborhood. I was outside a lot throughout the night and saw 1 kid in the neighborhood.
Hey, I am 28 F who just moved to St. George. I’m looking for groups/hobbies/events I can get involved in to try new things and meet friends. I enjoy reading, hiking, paddleboarding, camping, snowboarding, Im a huge dog person, I love nature in general. I love coffee. I’ve tried yoga and rock climbing and wasn’t super interested, but I’m open to other new hobbies to try. I’ve joined a few fb pages but doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of get togethers happening. Just looking for a wholesome girls group.

I'd like to take a moment to thank the community of Saint George for being such a great place to visit as a couple of cyclists from Canada.
We rode the Veyo Loop, we dipped into Nevada to ride the Valley of Fire, went from La Verkin to Zion and drove up to ride Bryce Canyon.
We got into Vegas and after putting our bikes together we noticed both had issues. Red Rock Cycling helped us out and got our bikes in working shape within a couple of hours which was amazing for us. Back home it would be a week to get the bikes in. Actually, it seemed every interaction we had with people was outstanding.
For example, while riding the Veyo Loop we got a puncture and then our hand pump actually broke the spare tubes' valves (yes we have a new hand pump now). A young gentlemen actually stopped, and drove us back to Saint George where our vehicle was parked. We grabbed his address and we're looking forward to sending him down some Ketchup chips and Hawkins Cheezies. :)
I guess I just wanted to drive home what an awesome community you all have here and publically thank you all for making our trip a memorable one.
Thanks again!
Anyone know of a place I can pick up beef bones for broth in the Hurricane - St George area? Beef knuckle, marrow bones, neck bones, etc
Does anyone know a good slot mechanic in the St. George area? I have three machines that could use some love.
I’m moving out to St. George next week and was wondering if any crappy golfers wanna start playing. Nobody I know out there golfs. I wanna try a few of the courses in the area. I’m not good. I average 95-105 on Florida courses.
Some business casual, dresses and trendy wear. All purchased at Dillards and WHBM.
Most barbers I've been to struggle with my hair because I'm a man who likes to keep it long, it also seems that most the barbers I find who specialize in longer wavy hair are much more experienced with cutting women's hair and as such they don't really do beard trims. Anyone know somebody who does good with both long wavy hair and beards?
My wife and I are moving out of a fully furnished apartment and need to have the carpets cleaned by professionals per the rental management company. 2 rooms, master bedroom 12'8"×14'9" with a King size bed in it. And 2nd bedroom 8'10"×13'5" with a queen size bed. Any suggestions who to call? We're new to the area and will have only been in the place for 2 1/2 months. We've barely gone into the 2nd room.
Hi, is there a service in town (or someone) that I can send a package to and pick it up? I'm buying some stuff and want it shipped without the rest of my household knowing what I bought.
Some companies like Macy's will ship with their logo on the box 📦 and I would rather avoid my family knowing what's coming in.
I don't have any friends or other family I feel comfortable sending stuff too
Amazon has lockers, but I'm not buying from Amazon.
A P.O box costs $180, but I don't want to spend that money just for a random purchase here and there.
Thanks!
Edit: no sarcastic answers please. Genuinely looking for a service or someone to pay for this service. Thanks
I’ve got an idea but I’m not that kind of artist, please help!
Heading to St. George this week and want to do some stargazing without paying for a pricey excursion. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to go or drive to for star gazing? Thanks!
Most cities crow about getting an Amazon facility for a year or more before the site even breaks ground. Ours is nearing completion and still no acknowledgement from the city. Something stinks here but I can't put my finger on it...
I want to get my kid a motorized scooter for an upcoming birthday but I'm not sure it's legal. I know for sure a license is required to ride one on the streets but the official rules I have read seem ambiguous about whether it's legal on the sidewalk.
There are tons of the rentable scooters around and I swear I've seen kids using them, I just don't want my kid to get in trouble for using their bday present.
I'll be traveling for work in St George all next week. I'm a massive Dodger fan. Where would be the best bar/restaurant to watch? Is there enough fans in the area to do like a dodger meetup?
Can anyone recommend an electrician in St. George that can troubleshoot an electrical problem in an existing home. Most of the businesses I’m finding online are contractors that do larger-scale work, new builds.
Hey all, my wife has been craving a chewy brownie. We've tried harmons, digbys, and crumble but they are all cakey. I tried making home made brownies last night and they were cakey too. So I am turning to you is there a restaurant or bakery in St George area that sells a chewy brownie? Thanks.
Hello, I am formerly an employee from Utah's Hogle Zoo and the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium and now an undergrad student at UVU studying zoology. I've been following on here that the Red Cliffs Reserve and surrounding areas are at risk from urban development. While I'm not originally from Utah, I did conceive the idea of an accredited zoo in St George awhile back. It would take time but is a zoo featuring sections showcasing the three ecoregions that make up Greater Zion, as well as potentially having Australian and African Sections, be economically and maybe financially beneficial to Saint George?
Where are you all catching the games? Looking to connect with fellow fans.
Zone 6 of the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve in St George is at potential risk of being destroyed by development. This includes Moes Valley, Green Valley Gap, Bearclaw Poppy Trail, and Zen Trail. Please everyone sign this petition so boulderers, hikers, bikers, and others can still enjoy this land!! Not to mention the lives of animals including desert tortoises that are at great risk. Here’s the link to the petition please share with as many people as possible ❤️
