Springdale is the fourth-largest city in Arkansas, United States. It is located in both Washington and Benton counties in Northwest Arkansas. Located on the Springfield Plateau deep in the Ozark Mountains, Springdale has long been an important industrial city for the region. Grant to target five projects for creeks, wetlands protection In Springdale

January 21, 2025 at 7:45 p.m.

Monument sign for Springdale along Highway 71.

SPRINGDALE -- The City Council, meeting as the Finance Committee, endorsed a resolution Tuesday to accept nearly $4 million in federal grant money to protect or restore streams, floodplains and wetland areas in the city.

The committee voted unanimously to recommend approval of the resolution. The resolution will be on the agenda for the council's Jan. 28 meeting.

The grant is from the Environmental Protection Agency, through the federal Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program for stormwater management, flood reduction and land protection projects. Springdale plans to pay for five projects with the money.

Mayor Doug Sprouse said much of the work is being done in conjunction with downtown revitalization and other city projects. He said the money will allow the city to do the work without dipping into the general fund.

Local Dive bars

We will be visiting Springdale in February for a Convention. Which dive bars are a must go? Which ones to avoid?

Thanks!

Marketplace Blueberry Vinegarette

This is a long shot, for sure. But does anyone here either work at/formerly work at and or know someone who does work at Marketplace grille so I can get the recipe for the blueberry vinegarette? It is so damn good and I've tried to recreate at at my house several times and can't get it right. 🥺

I appreciate any help!

How much do I need to make to comfortably rent here?

I am considering a new job and move to NWA. The position is in Springdale. I would like to keep the daily commute to 20 minutes and under. It’s me and my partner, no kids. And we are hoping to rent a small house or duplex/condo with a small yard for our pups.

Could anyone give me estimates on the COL here and what one would need to make annually to live in this area? I’m moving from a fairly LCOL region and want to make sure I’m not underestimating what I’d need.

I’d also love any info as to the average cost of rent for a 2-3 bedroom rent home or condo/duplex.

TLDR: what do I need to make annually to afford a decent rent house in the Springdale area and about how much do most places like that run in rent?

Does anyone want to secretly adopt a Doberman?

Ignorant neighbors have a backyard neglected Doberman, he looks sweet as can be. I sneak him treats through the fence occasionally but I have too many dogs to do much about it.

If someone could maybe come adopt him while the owners are away it would be awesome. He doesn’t deserve to be in a backyard ignored all his life.

Window Replacement

Hello! I am looking for recommendations on companies to replace a couple windows in my home. I’ve gotten vastly different quotes from Window World of the Ozarks and Burnett Home Improvement.
