I’ve been driving my 4-cylinder Altima coupe for the past 15 years. I love this car—it handles well, and I know its limits. Now, I’m finally in a position to buy the sports car of my dreams.
My top choices are the Nissan Z, Supra MK5, C8, and Genesis G70 3.3T.
I recently test-drove the G70. When I was entering the freeway, going from 20 mph to 70 mph, I pressed the gas, and the car lunged forward in a jerky way. It felt odd.
Today, I drove the Nissan Z and noticed the same thing.
Am I doing something wrong? I’m pressing the pedal gently, like I do in my Altima, instead of fully stepping on it.
I'm in a thread in another sub, in which there is an argument about whether or not an Elantra N is a sportscar. Some of us are saying no it's not. Others are saying that it is indeed a sportscar.
What do the folks of an actual sportscar subreddit think?

$120,000 budget for a NEW(not used) car with manual transmission, anything worth upgrading from a ZL1 to? Needs to be 0-60 in under 4 seconds.
Preferably a two door
How's it going fellow enjoyers?
Hope I'm not intruding. I noticed a lot of people here liked mountain racing and rally and wanted to create a space where the Touge community and sim racing fans can clash together and mutually bond over burnt rubber. Even if you aren’t into sim racing we hope you can join us and yap about cars 24/7!
All jokes aside, We recently launched our own Touge servers with a custom car pack that’s truly unique. We’re talking:
From JDM to EDM to GDM—we’ve got all the domestic markets covered.
Our community isn’t just about racing; we’ve got a bunch of media channels, including:
And much more! Everything Touge related in one place!
Hope to see you around brodie. Join the fam if you get the chance—we can battle it out because the practice never stops. I appreciate your time, so swing by and say hello sometime!
We also have a guide channel to help people get started if they’re new. All you need is a PC! Even if you don’t have one join us and yap about cars and post pictures. We love pictures of cars in general…
So I'm looking for a sports car under 30k. If I'm being honest I want a sports car because I like the way it looks, and I don't care for how fast it goes (I'm a grandma driver.) I really love the way the Toyota G86 looks but hear so many problems with it. I want something reliable and something with possible car alerts for the blind spots. What cars do you recommend.
I want to add that I want to stay away from foreign cars.
My list (in no order)
Ferrari F50 Aston Martin Vanquish Mercedes SLS Mercedes SLR McLaren Porsche Carrera GT Porsche 911 Turbo Lamborghini Murcielago
Been looking for a fun fast car. I like the idea of the EV - like a Tesla plaid because the 0-60 is insane but it doesn’t seem like it would be as engaging as an ICE vehicle. My brother has a 19 Porsche GT3 RS (I get it’s a bit of a unicorn) which is the most fun I’ve ever had driving a car….however I’m not sure I want to spend 200-300k on a vehicle.
Thoughts on EV or gas?
Buying a 2008 Corvette Coupe
The seller is wanting 28k. It has 29k or 39 k miles on it I believe. It’s been garage kept its entire life and there’s no problems interior or exterior. Performance wise it’s stock besides the exhaust and they said the previous owners dyno tuned it. Am I leaving out too much information? Do you think I’m getting a fair deal on it?
Is there anything that can match this: 1. AWD 2. N/A or Supercharged V8 3. Sport coupe
Another stunning car at Silverstone racetrack
This McLaren sennas decal was fully inspired by the driver himself and his rich history in motorsport, this was taken at the Silverstone race track
I appreciate any advise yall can give me. I’m currently 17 y/o a senior in HS and driving a ‘97 4Runner with almost 300k. I want to be able to buy a decent sports car when i graduate. I’m blessed to have found a good job in real estate along with owning my own car detailing business. I looking for a car for around $20-$25k maybe i could k stretch it to 30k. Ideally i’d like something that will last me a while with respectable speed, 0-60 in the 4 second range, and something that won’t cost me a crazy amount of money down the line. It would also be great if it had good modification potential (can make sound good, and look good). Overall just a daily that i can take to a car meet and to a real estate meeting without looking goofy at either. I understand there are a lot of qualifications so i appreciate any advise. I’m currently thinking an older BMW (2000s) would be a good bet. But im open to anything from MOPAR to European. Thank Yall in advance!
I can’t get a new car right now, but I’m wanting one in the next 2-3 years. I was moving towards BRZ/86, but I’ve heard they have some reliability issues. Are there any cars that look similar to it or “sporty” while also having good reliability that are under $20k? I don’t like the look of Miata’s and cars that look similar. I don’t really want a v8 cuz I really just like the look of them and also don’t wanna be spending $150 a week in gas. V6 is a good middle point or lower if there’s any there. Manual preferably cuz if I’m getting a sports car, I’d like it to be a manual. Any and all input is appreciated! Thank you guys in advance!
Hey everyone,
I'm 191-192 cm tall (about 6'3" - 6'4"), and I'm looking into getting a sports car from the following list:
I love these cars, but my height makes me wonder if I’d fit comfortably in any of them, especially for longer drives. I’d appreciate feedback from taller drivers who own or have driven these cars. Any modifications that helped with fitment are also welcome!
Thanks!

I’m really new to the car world, but I’d love love love to know more! What’s your dream car and why? I’d love it even more if you added a picture with your response
Didn’t have time to figure this car out I was so busy videoing it….
I'm looking to get my first car and I want a sports car but I don't have a huge budget only $5,500 what would be a fast fun cheap first car?
I’ve been in Tokyo for the last week and have seen many beautiful sports cars. Today I saw this and have no idea what it is….? Any help?
I was gonna save up in the next year or two to get a 2015+ BRZ. Either half in cash or full depending on how long I wanna wait until I get one. Are there any problems that I should know about? Engine, transmission, leaks, anything. Even the smallest problems that I would run into. And if there is, are there any car recs that are similar in price and looks to the BRZ? Thank you in advance!!
