April 15th 2024 will be the 30th Anniversary of Space Ghost Coast To Coast first airing. No big celebrations plans from CN/AS so far except for giving C2C Aqua Teen Hunger Force's 1 AM rerun slot and an episode of Jellystone that aired in February.
I'm looking forward to celebrating the anniversary by watching a lot of it that day and just wanted to ask how everyone is feeling about this big anniversary for the show that helped establish both Cartoon Network and Adult Swim to what they are today
Space Ghost Death Tarot
When thinking about the upcoming Space Ghost comic and the chances of ever seeing a new project in the vein of the Coast to Coast depictions again, I remembered hearing that someone wrote a script and/or pitch for a Space Ghost movie to Adult Swim around 2020 or so. Does anyone else remember hearing anything about this? All I can find on search results is about a live action movie script reported in 2023, but I don't think that was it.
Yo everybody, if ya like CN or animation in general, please check out my new video! I'd very much appreciate it :)

...we know it was on Cartoon Network, TBS and TNT, so he watched it and said , "Why don't we have somethin' like this on the superstation? (Meaning TBS.)
I wonder who decided it should be Brak to be on Cartoon Planet.
Maybe Ted just said, "Get me Space Ghost, the green guy and the orange guy!"
He could have meant Tansut!
Moltar got a good gig a little latter hosting Toonami but I wonder how the real Ted Turner conversation went !
I stumbled across three unedited interviews. I'm pretty new here, so if these have been posted before, I apologize. It's interesting to see how they used the footage and what they didn't use. If there are any others out there, please let me know.
Conan O'Brien's raw voice acting and interview for Space Ghost Coast to Coast (youtube.com)
Space Ghost Coast to Coast - Matt Groening Raw Interview (youtube.com)
Space Ghost Coast to Coast - Bob Odenkirk & David Cross Raw Interview (youtube.com)
-There's going to be a number of things drastically different from the countuity in Coast to Coast that people forget were from c2c to begin with (Moltar's species and personality will be drastically different, Sisto won't be related to Brak anymore, anything about Dorakian cannibalism culture )
-There will be at least one new character that's pretty cool
-Mettalus will probably receive a major role again
-At least one villain from Space Stars kinda gets lumped in with some first series villains (probably Toymaker or Eclipse Woman)
-Space Ghost will be a dick but for new reasons and in new ways
Any thoughts on my predictions or anyone else have anything else to predict?
So having just gotten out of Film School and getting familiar with DaVinci Resolve, I've been seeing all these well-made posts on YouTube where people take Newly Restored footage of Old Cartoons and Sync Them to the audio of Old Bumpers/Promos. Inspired by that I wanted to see if I could make some "Cleaned Up" Cartoon Planet Bumpers. I kept thinking though if I REALLY wanted to get things nice an clean, I would make the effort to sync characters with MUCH cleaner backgrounds than recordings to provide.
Now, the chances of ALL the Cartoon Planet Backgrounds being posted in some sort of portfolio out there are slim to none I'm aware of that, but given Cartoon Network has made NO effort to preserve this show compared to Space Ghost Coast to Coast, I figure it's a project I could do without any worry of being hassled over the footage used.
As such, my question is simply, DOES anyone know if the original backgrounds to the series has been posted anywhere, or if anything, what the CLEANEST clips they've found of the backgrounds/shots are? I'll be doing what I can with what I can find so anyone that can point me in the right direction would be a godsend lol
We all know that SGC2C’s models for the trio were all taken from the original 1966 cartoon, (with Zorak and Moltars mostly taken from the council of doom episode) but what about Brack? His model looks completely different from the original, I wonder if it was from different material or a new model was drawn for his appearance in coast to coast, anyone have info on this?
