Hi! I'm looking into southern miss to be closer to my partner during grad school - what's the general view of southern miss' doctoral programs? I would be going for computer science or math. Any general info/advice would be super appreciated! :)

Can I earn around 5k working on campus for 9 months ?
Title. I’ve been struggling to connect with literally any incoming freshmen or current students at this campus.
Hi. I'm not a student at this university but I'm learning calculus with analytic geometry on my own and to that end I started learning from the fantastic material that Prof Jim Lambers has on his website. Now, I want to test myself so I'm looking for exam questions. So my question is, does the university have a repository of past papers I can look into to get the questions? (I'm assuming it's free to access). Specifically, I'm looking for past papers on MAT 167, MAT 168 and MAT 169
Hey guys! I'm looking at school options into Ph.D programs for the spring of 2024 or fall of 2024 and I noticed on the Southern Miss English Dept. page, their availability for accepting students right now says 'Hattiesburg.' Would anyone happen to know what that means?
Hey all! I've applied to USM and got accepted. I'm an international applicant as well. I've chosen Physics B.S as my major but I'm not sure if I should attend USM. Is USM academically good for doing a bachelors in Physics? Is the faculty good and helpful? Is the physics department good? Are there opportunities to do research and internships? Sorry if I'm asking too much. Any help would be appreciated!
Dr. Mac rocks!!!
What is it like to attend the University of Southern Mississippi as a Computer Science Major international student?
How rigorous is the Computer Science curriculum compared to that of elite universities?
Are CS professors competitive and helpful?
How good is the Computer Science department?
Are there enough opportunities for research & internships in Computer Science?
Are the university and its locality safe for international students?
Hey guys! I am a student at Mississippi State. I'm doing an internship in Hattiesburg this summer and looking for a place to sublet or do short term leases for the summer. Is there anywhere yall know that does short term leases?

How long does it take usually to hear a decision of whether or not you are accepted
I’m a freshman, and like an idiot I left my MacBook charger at home. I’m going home this weekend to get it but if anyone has one it would be highly appreciated!!!!

I have been working on this app for a while now and I am really excited to share it with you. It's a college marketplace restricted to students. You can buy, or sell anything you want to other students, ranging from dorm supplies, textbooks, lost& found, promote services, tutoring, apparel (anything really!) ride-sharing, to subleasing or finding off-campus housing for next year ...
A lot of hard work went into it so make sure you check it out if you need anything for the upcoming semesters! You can only log in once you verify your usm.edu school email! (you'll receive a 5 digit code in your inbox)
link to the app: https://collegesouk.com/ and tell your friends!
also maybe follow on ig https://www.instagram.com/collegesouk/ ?
Lastly, please go ahead and post something people are already using it :) 💚🐫 hope it helps (upvote for visibility)! - might be a little glitchy on galaxy hoping to fix that soon, also just want to mention that the idea is abstracted to support multiple universities :) each university got its own separate marketplace!
Also, please dm me if you have an idea on how I can let more students know about this or if anyone is interested in contributing! (app dev or marketing)
I'm currently registering for Fall 2022. I have been searching for online options in the engineering career path since I have a full time job and family so full time college isn't an option.
Thank you guys for your help!
Hi Everyone,
I have been working for some time now on this website ratemycourses.io and I am really excited to share it with you.
You can use this to look at reviews and get advice on courses you're interested in. You can also sort courses by difficulty, usefulness and the overall rating from reviews made by other students. I think if enough people start using it regularly. it's going to be essential when you're choosing your electives or just to get advice on courses you will be taking.
Lastly, filtering and sorting courses is only gonna be useful and accurate if there are a lot of reviews, so please go ahead and leave some reviews to courses you've taken or are currently taking.
Also, please dm me if you have an idea on how I can let more students know about this. And if anyone is interested in writing an article about this dm me!
Enjoy!!

In light of the recent leaked Supreme Court opinion hinting at a (likely) overturning of Roe v. Wade in June, I believe the following info is very important:
The YellowHammer Fund, an abortion fund and reproductive justice organization, is offering a 2-pack of morning-after-pill to residents for free to any resident of Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle with Free Shipping.
USE THIS LINK TO PLACE YOUR ORDER
The morning-after-pill, if properly stored, has a shelf life of up to 4 years. You can order a new free pack every 3 months with the same name. You can use other family members' names to order more if you have a different email address and phone number (don't abuse so that others have access).
