I bought my XM5's just 2 weeks ago and have noticed a gap starting to appear on one side. I get that there needs to be some kind of gap for them to rotate but I've heard horror stories of them coming apart. I still have time to return them but it would be good to get other users thoughts and experiences.
I've had my XM3's for a few years with no issue. However, recently I got her a new toy that resembled headphones and she seemed to have changed her mind about whether these things I wear on my head are fair game.
Recently purchased this WH-CH720N. Sound quality and my experience to this point is great. Though I'm still jealous of my brother who got XM4's 😭
these are sony whxb910n headphones, they randomly made this sound when i was listening to music the other day. HOW DO I FIX THIS??? I used voice memos and i put my phone speaker into the ear hole
So the reason i got my xm5s was to shut away all the noise after I put my headphones on and read / get shit done. I noticed that it doesn’t cancel that much noise when I am not playing any music. The noise cancellation with music on is fantastic. Any ways that I can solve this? I keep getting distracted by the useless comments my roommate keeps making when I am fucking trying to read something
(Repost - cause I posted image only LOL)
I purchased my wf-1000xm5 in Oct 2023 and have used it daily during workouts and travel. Last week the charging case stopped working after just 1 year of usage (just over the warranty period by 1-month). I paid around HK$ 1,599 for this earbuds and this is definitely not the quality I expect from this brand.
First issue, the battery on the charging case broke down. I've checked online and found that if you use a fast-charge port to charge the case it will damage the battery. I've previously used Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus and it didn't have this issue.
The second issue, is service cost. So I've contacted customer service and here's the reply "the inspection will take approximately 4 to 7 working days. If the product is out of warranty, product repair fee is required, the inspection fee is HK$200, and the labor cost for repairs is HK$300, plus the cost of any necessary parts (the inspection fee will be waived if you proceed with the repair after receiving the quote)." I've checked online the replacement is *probably* going go be around ~HK$ 700 - 800. Pretty much half the cost of the new pair.
And regarding water-resistant IPX4-rating. While the earbud is water-resistant, the tip they provide sure isn't. It wear and tear quickly if they get wet. Once it does, it will affect the fitting and since the ANC depends on the fitting it indirectly affects your ANC experience. (similar to what happened to this post here)
Everything else is decent, the sound quality and at ANC except you can't use it after they break down so fast huh. Image attached is the red blinking issue when the case isn't charging. And yes, I've tried factory reset.
I've finally decided to buy the Sony XM4 headphones as a birthday gift to myself. Currently they are $50 off everywhere, but I am wondering if I should wait for a potential further sale over Black Friday? Do the headphones usually go on sale around then? Is it worth the wait or should I purchase them now? Thanks :)
I just bought 1 week ago my Sony 1000XM4 the headphone came with the box had 100% battery I haven’t used it much but it’s 4 hour 48 min and only 10 percent battery left is this because I was using noise cancelling? But I think even on noise cancelling it should not be this much
Also I have a 20W apple charger which came with my IPAD can I charge it with that charger your help and suggestions would really help and mean a lot ( these are my first noise cancelling headphones)
I usually train with AirPods. But my gym is quiet the time I train so I could play the music out loud. Is HT-AN7 heavy enough to stay put around the neck for fast walking on the treadmill? (I don’t run due to knee injury)
I recently purchased some Sony ANC headphones from a local car boot, I had a little look around and realized that they were ex display units. I've tried plugging them in, and the light doesn't light up and they don't seem to be charging, I've checked see if there's a battery in them, and there is. I've opened them up to have a look inside, there seems to be nothing wrong with them. does anybody have any idea?
The new sound connect app seems to be missing a button the old one had. I clearly remember there being a button next to the in app volume slider that used to let you sync the phone volume with the app, so that the two could always be on the same level. I can't find that button anywhere on the new app. i used to keep that function on, so I could actually control the phone volume with the buttons on my headphones
I recently bought Sony XM5 headphones after a long wait. These were on my list for a long time because of all the reviews and what not. Finally when these arrived in Costco, I bought them. First set was kind of imbalanced so I returned and bought a new pair. This one is working fine but I started researching about these really in depth after having connectivity issues with Samsung TV ,gaming console and my PC. That is where I started questioning the headphones. Now I see that a lot of people are complaining about broken hinges and other physical issues with the set. Only time I absolutely enjoy this set is when I am listening to music on Spotify. I have a fairly great EQ setting that has made the experience very pleasant. I am not sure now though if I made a wise purchase. I still have time that I can return these to Costco. I have no clue if issues I am encoutering will ever have any fix? My question is what are some of the other options that I can explore where I might not encounter issues with connectivity, seamlessness, physical state and sound. And around what budget. A high budget usually is not an indicator of lack of problems.Black Friday is coming so I might be able to snag some deals, if lucky enough.
Im looking for my second pair of headphones, my first ones are the Momentum 4.
Anyone knows if its trustable to buy "Used - Like new" option on Amazon?? Im thinking to buy a Sony XM5 or a Bose QC Ultra, where I live they drop 50-100 dollars so its considerable less money to spend.
Ty :)
I've had my WH-1000XM4 headphones for a couple months and I enjoy them a lot. But I keep on having the same problem: every time I play a song (regardless of the app) and start to sing along, the headphones stop the audio. I find it so annoying! Can anyone tell me if there is a way to turn the feature off? I have the app, but it's quite confusing :( Thanks! (English isn't my first language, so I apologize if some words aren't used correctly)
Recently got the wf1000xm5 earbuds and the options are a confusing mess
For me I use YouTube music and sometimes spotify which settings is better for me Aac with. dsee extreme Or Ldac( I think u can't use dsee extreme with this ?) where u prioritise sound quality ?
Is it advisable to use priority sound quality for movies and streaming music ? Or should I just put the earbuds in stable connection and use aac.
Also what about phones Dolby Atmos should I turn it on or keep it off I feel like sound is louder with Dolby Atmos on. Thank u
The plastic thing that held it in shape broken but the audio and the wire is all good! Please help me with the places that will to get this back in place 😭
Just wanted to know how is it, to use it daily :)
Hey there, ive been thinking of getting a second pair of top ANC headphones, dont get me wrong, Im totally pleased by my Momentum 4, sound just make me levitate tbh, battery lasts for ages, ANC is decent for me and they look gorgeous. But I would like to experience another brand, different sound signature to see how big the difference is and how top tier ANC feels.
Im thinking about maybe a XM5, XM4, QC or QC Ultra. Im still looking for options and prices.
But heres my question...
Does it really feel different?? I mean, changing from headphone to headphone you can feel the sound difference? besides its better or worst?
Does the ANC really feel mindblowing coming from a M4?
You get my point, my first choice will still be the Momentum 4, but as a second pair I would like to get a different experience of ANC, Sound, comfort and feels.
If someone there has a Momentum 4 like me and another pair of the ones I mentioned, or someone who got the chance to prove these different headphones and if they could feel a big, normal or small difference it would help me.
Tysm :)
Hey guys been lurking in this sub for quite some time now and finally decided to buy the XM5 despite the hinge problem (I'll be very cautious lol) and it will arrive next Saturday.
It will be my first headphone in this lifetime and since I've been using cheap earphones until now I'm excited to have my mind blown!!
So apart from using the equalizer, can you all drop advice on what I should be doing first once it's arrived. Thank you so much for those who answer!
So I have the Sony wf-c510 and lost my case is there like a way to order a new case or do I just have to buy new headphones
Hello.
Recently aquired used MDR-100ABN. The "power on" and "bluetooth connected" and etc voices are EXTREMELY loud. I though that perhaps I could connect to Sony's app and disable it. MDR-100ABN are not on the list. Manual does no show how to do it.
Has anyone found a solution?
This is also annoying when turning them on at night. It is loud indeed.
I’ve had these now for a week, and the sound is great and comfort is brilliant. Battery life is fine too. However, I am finding some of the other features are really hit and miss and wondered if anyone else was having similar problems? I’ve also noticed the issues are much more prevalent if I’m out running just with my Apple Watch and no phone - which as these are fitness earbuds isn’t the best!
The “hey headphones” command works about 1 time in 5 - sometimes it hears “hey headphones” but doesn’t understand the command, and sometimes it doesn’t hear me at all. Wide area tap seems to work for a bit, then just stop detecting any taps at all unless I take one earbud out (so the music auto-pauses) and then put it back in again. The worst issue I’ve had is trying to increase volume with wide area tap and then have it do nothing at first as if nothing has registered, then suddenly rocket the volume up!
I think these could all be tweaked in software, but if no one else is getting this, I might have a duff pair?
Recently I've bought a XM4 and been really enjoying it. However I cannot find my sound with the app. I've been messing around with the EQ to create a dry and bright sound with a somewhat moderate bass but can't nail it whatsoever.
I just feel 5 bars are too general and are not enough to get the sound I want. For comparation, I also have a pair of Soundcore earbuds and the app gives you much more options in EQ (twice to be exact).
Is there any alternative? I know I can use the device EQ but I want the preset to be stored in the headphone
Guys, I have a problem when using my wh-1000xm4 on Windows.
I can only change the volume of what I'm listening to on the player. For example, if I'm watching a movie on Netflix, or listening to music on Spotify or watching a video on YouTube, I can only change the volume in the player of these programs.
When I try to change the volume through the Windows mixer, nothing happens. Has this ever happened to you? Is there a way to fix it?
why does this keep turning on by itself?? In the past hour I had to turn this off 3 times. It’s so frustrating, why does this keep happening?
I received my LinkBuds S pair a week ago and unfortunately encountered the wind noise issue that many others have. It happens only in the left earbud though only after a certain amount of time sitting in my ear. Putting it back in the case and waiting a while gets rid of the noise temporarily, but it always comes back.
Well, I started poking around the offending earbud foam with a paperclip, pushing it and making it flush with the earbud wall until the wind noise stopped completely. I suspect moisture in the ear affects the foam seal and that is what is causing the sound. There's definitely something flawed about the use of foam and design that results in this.
