Looking to join a football club in Solothurn. I recently moved from Ireland. How do I get about it? How many clubs is there
I have recently moved to Solothurn and I am looking to rent an apartment in the city with a balcony. My budget is 1000-1300 CHF per month. Can anybody help with this!
Hello everyone,
I just want to know which provider for Internet and TV would you recommend that is good in Solothurn?
Specifically in Zuchwil. I am planning on getting one soon but I don't know which one to take.
Ofcourse, as much as possible I would like to get the subscription that is a value for the money.
I hope to hear from you! Thank you in advance.
Looking for as much information as possible I will be moving to solothurn in November probably and I just want to know what I should expect? Is finding a shared apartment common? How's the transport? Anything and everything really
I did an analytics project based on the population data released by Canton Solothurn and have also used the Gemeinde ranking carried out by Handelszeitung.
The project shows visually the population pyramid, %of swiss vs foreigners etc. by municipality.
It also tells the rank of selected municipality by the rank in district to which it belongs, rank in canton and in CH.
Now I want to offer it to canton (for free). Do you think whether this even makes sense, if yes, what should be my point of contact.
Right now there are so many jets flying overhead today, creating a lot of noise. I can't see them on flightradar 24, so I think it must be some kind of a military drill?
How are rents so low in solothurn?
I want to move to the German speaking side of Switzerland, I've been checking places. Until now the Kanton of Solothurn seems to be the most affordable. I like the capital, but since it will take a little time to learn German. My plan was to live close to biel but also close to all the logistics companies on the Kanton. I've found this city Grenchen, Wich happens to be the 3rd or 4th biggest city on the Kanton and rents are so cheap for 4 pieces apartments. What's wrong with that city?
Hi there!! Spanish au pair here moving to Solothurn in July, looking forward to making some new friends and learning some german! :)
Hello /r/Solothurn!
I am deeply sorry if this is not allowed, please remove if needed.
I am returning to stay in your beautiful city of Solothurn for a week in May, as I am visiting for business. However, I would like to not rent a car while I am here. This is my second visit. Public transport is quite good, but I would also like to rent a bicycle. I am having a lot of difficulty to find somewhere to rent a bike, and thought to myself, "Why not just ask someone who lives here?" If I had to, I am sure my company would buy me a used bike, but thought I would ask your opinion here. Thank you in advance, I love visiting here.
Hello,
I've been trying to cook my own Solothurn wine soup (Soledurner Wysuppe) such as found on
https://fooby.ch/en/recipes/16971/solothurn-wine-soup--soledurner-wysueppli-?startAuto1=0
Although I've been seeing versions that look much fancier like
But I've never had the authentic version so I don't know how to compare.
Can anyone recommend a restaurant in Solothurn where I can get some good, authentic soup?
Thank you.
