Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but what softsynths are out there that have good / powerful / unique arpeggiators? Arps with up, down, up+down, random, octave selection etc are a dime a dozen, so I'm not interested in ones that just have the basics.
My fave is Hive, just as an example.
So what else is out there? And why is it good / powerful / unique?
Hey Everyone, looking for the rising filter sound that starts at 0:16, I've always assumed it was a 90s digital 303 but I haven't ever been able to recreate it or find a vst that does the same thing.
This song also has the same sound at 0:45 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcUrUQUP9To
Hey there music creators and synth appreciators :)
My friend and I are working on a new project and are looking for some feedback from producers of all levels and walks of life! We plan to use this survey data to better understand how to build our sample generation tool.
If you’re interested in helping and have 2 free minutes, we would appreciate your support by filing out this survey! <3
Hey guys i've just ordered an Mxr talk box and i'm looking for a cheap synth to start with it, never owned one. I just have a keystation midi keyboard
looking for something that has pitch bend & mod wheel
So, this is the best example have seen of the REZ lead sound: https://youtu.be/0zHJXHkjBRU?si=ieLNSg08FL_yZQGG
I got it to work on my 2600, and it makes sense after hearing that Underworld said that the 2600 is the single most important synth in their arsenal.
My question is: since I can't seem to get Arturia's 2600 to do this, is there a soft synth that will resonate / self-oscillate like this AND have fixed VCO's???
In the past, I've created Aggregate Audio devices, back when I had two Presonus FP10s. It was y difficult to merge them using Mac's own Audio/Midi app. ..however, I'm finding this to not be so easy with Midi.
What I'm specifically trying to do is add a device I made, (An Arduino foot pedal for bass notes made from an old organ), and have it be recognized as the bottom end of my Komplete A61 controller. I can get two devices, but two devices only.
I cannot have been the first person to have this need, but I am new to soft synths, and I know there is a term I'm unaware of that's keeping me from succeeding when I Google this.
Any help?
I am conceptualizing a versatile Midi controller for Software Synthesizers as a project for a Human–Computer Interaction class and I would love to have external inputs on what you think could make such a device fun to use and useful.
My first thoughts are that one would need "stateless knobs" :
- endless encoders (with LED dots for immediate information on the position of the knob like the Midi Fighter Twister) with small LED screens under them to show which functions are mapped to wich encoders.
- some vertical "smart strips" like the one on the NI Maschine (put vertically) to control faders (with small LED for mapping info here too).
- some buttons that light up when they are activated.
- touch screen panel(s) with TouchOSC?
Then the hard task would be to find a layout that is nice to use yet versatile enough for the wide range of software synths that exists...
What do you guys/girls think about those first points?
What did I miss?
What layout do you think would be best?
Thanks!
Are there examples? Anyone actually make use of it?
Hi,
The Prophet 6 comes with 500 factory presets. I love them, but I don't own that synth. Instead I have the vst from Arturia called Prophet V2. I know that the Prophet V2 emulates the Prophet 5 (and VS). I would like to play the factory presets of the Prophet 6 on the Arturia Prophet 5.
Is it possible to recreate the factory presets of P6 on the Arturia VST P5?
Hi everyone. I'm working on a price tracker for audio plugins.
I just implemented a new feature so you can see plugins that are at their all-time lowest price. You can see it here.
For a larger list of plugins at their all-time lowest price you can check this link: https://audiobazooka.com/deals/
I maintain a database of over 10'000 audio plugins that is updated daily to keep track of prices.
Let me know what you think and which features you'd like to see next :).
I make very experimental shit, think aphex twin and oneohtrix point never have a baby. I wish.
Anyway, I’m looking to buy a single VST that will give me a huge resource of sound and capabilities to adjust parameters. £500ish.
Appreciate it
I can’t upgrade to Logic 10.5.0 which has Remix FX is there a similar alternative?
I saw this video on TikTok. What soft synths are used to make these sounds? I’ve got Razor but I don’t think it’s made with that. Also what are the generally used synths involved with DubStep? It’s something I don’t know much about.
What's out there that can really give a hardware feel?
Most of the keyboards have very little difference between them, certainly none have enough knobs and sliders to match knob per function.
What have you found?
Hello,
I'm just writing this to say Native instruments Kontakte 7 ruined my session and day by constantly crashing Studio One. I'll go on to say Fuck NI. Thank you and have a nice day!
The built in arpeggiator in Logic is good are there any third party plugins to better it and also be able to extract the midi notes from the sequence for editing? Looking for one with a good randomiser.
