Welcome to /r/Sodawars, where you can battle to see who's the best soda around, plus a little bit of everything else.
The Soda Wars were started earlier in 2014 by the powers of /u/CokeTastesGood39 and /u/johnnyracer24 to see which was better, Pepsi or Coca-Cola. Then it meant a start of the ever-faithful Soda War accounts, which only show up whenever a Soda War has started. There were 2 Soda Wars before this one started. And now we are here, where the Soda War is eternally on.

AND NO, I'M NOT JOHNNY.
There's only one way to determine which soda's Cup drivers are the best: a little fantasy!
Starting with the Daytona 500, I will operate a special points system based on the finishing order of each soda's driver. Since the teams will be unbalanced, I will take the average finish of both teams and declare the winner of each race using that. If a driver races with sponsorship from their respective soda, 5 bonus points will be added. The race winner receives 10 extra points. If a driver does not qualify for a race, they will lose 10 points. I will update this as every race ends, and since this will most likely be archived once August arrives, a new thread for the Chase will be created. Will the points be reset? Who knows?
Since Coke is twice the size of the other two groups combined, I'm going to merge PepsiCo and Dr Pepper Snapple Group as an "alliance against a greater power"; both will still receive points for their respective groups.
The following is the points system:
