Hi Everyone,
Our organization, Connecticut Young Professionals or CTYP, exists to build a community for young professionals in Connecticut and create an easy/free way for people between the ages of 21 and 40 to meet one another. We are hosting a happy hour with some free food and great drink specials at Johnny Utah's in South Norwalk on September 10th, from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Hope you all can make it!
Feel free to visit us at www.CTYP.org or like us on social media:
Looking forward to meeting you all!

I know it doesn't look like much, but this is a rare piece of industrial art. It's a fabricated diner, manufactured in the old Tierney factory in New Rochelle, New York in 1927. To my knowledge, it's always been at this site.
There aren't many of these left, and most of them are threatened. This one looks like it's in remarkably good condition. (Compare to this similar example in Waterbury, at most only a few years older. And believe me, that one's not much better preserved inside. Most remaining Tierneys look more like that.)
Most Tierneys (all of which are very old) are either already gone or in very bad shape and threatened. This one can still be saved, and can also still be preserved in more or less original condition, which would make it very rare indeed. There aren't a lot of communities that would see the cultural value in something like that, but I think SoNo might be one of them.
If anyone can tell me anything they know about this place, especially its current status or condition and anything about plans for it, I'd be much obliged, thanks.
I mean I live in EaNo so there's that. But damn. SoNo! So, No!
The huge metal looking SONO sign under the train tracks looks pretty cool. do any of you think people taking selfies in front of that will become a thing around here?
Bueller?
