Got a great deal on GunBroker. Going to try it with some .32 H&R hollow base wadcutters and see how it shakes out.

Uberti maverick looking for more info.

Its kinda of a snubby lol. I'm about to buy a uberti maverick in 45 colt, and it's a really nice derringer. I just can't find much info on them except that Uberti quit making them due to the 1968 ban. Mostly wondering if anyone has info as to what pressure they can handle, has 45 colt can range alot in pressures. I also would love to know any General knowledge anyone has, thanks in advance.

357 carry options?

Too much fun to look at and I’m getting confused. I have a 686 and love the look; chunky gun chunky barrel. I want a carry revolver that has a similar look but want it 357 capable (not just .38). I realize for comfort I need to give up some chunkyness (mine and the gun) but would like to stay with that look. The ones I find are .38 only.

Cross Draw?

Does anyone carry cross draw? Looking for a holster for carrying while driving for extended periods of time. This seems like the best option but holsters seem rather uncommon.

New Corbon DPX 110 gr 38 Special +P

Does anyone have any current gel data on the newer Corbon DPX 110 gr +P load in a snub nose?

Corbon recently changed their bullet from Barnes to a proprietary bullet design. I had carried the old design in my 640 pro but ran out of old stock so I ordered a few boxes only to find they change the bullet as confirmed by Corbon themselves.

Corbon did state that the new bullet did perform, in their tests, the same as the old design.

I was able to run it over lab radar with consistent velocities from the original Barnes loading but do not have access to denim/gel data. The little that I did read, some stated over expansion with lack of penetration.

Any info would be helpful, particularly in snubs.

Favorite Holster for Taurus 605 w/ 2” Barrel

Hey all, I currently have a sticky pocket holster and a cheap neoprene IWB. Was curious if anyone found a holster they really liked. On the Taurus website they have the UM Tactical Holster that looks descent and has a mod to make it OWB as well. The price looked pretty good as well.

Recommendations? Thank you!

Funny Question 😅

Have any of y’all played red dead 2? Well you know Algernon’s revolver the snub nose with the fancy grip well in real life would that grip be possible to make irl or would that grip not be practical and in general would it be possible to find a gunsmith to make the revolver like the one from the game? I think it’s cool looking in the game and what first snub nosed revolver do you recommend in your opinion for a beginner? What’s better colt or s&w also do the old ones like the chief’s special and the colt detective special or the colt cobra still work and still shoot good like would you still have to take it to a gunsmith for problems or whatever etc. can the old ones still be practical and be put to good use or can they still break because they’re old? 😅 🤔 sorry for the long box text it’s my first time on reddit and I don’t know how this app works half the time. Sorry if I piss any of you off with my dumb questions

Drills for practice?

Took my new 642 to the range last night. At 7 yards I was consistently on the paper but my groups were wide and sporadic. Set down the snubbie and put 60 rounds in an 8 inch group from my pocket semi…while I have bought some paint to add to the sight and I have a spring kit to add to the smith&wesson…what are your go to shooting drills to improve accuracy? This is gonna take some practice.

Spring Kit? (Wilson, Apex, or other)

Considering a spring kit on a couple of snubbies S&W 642, and Kimber K6S DASA. What’s the consensus? Wilson, Apex or another preferred brand?
