This is some bs. The guard they installed prevents you from replacing the belts and just made my cat even heavier. Anyone got a solution?
As per a duh moment I am reposting my issue of no storage space on my machine. I have a 1990 Yamaha phazer 2, which has no space on the back for storage. I need to make space, I was thinking of fabricating a rear rack, if anyone has their own examples of something like this that I can use for reference when I make mine, I’d appreciate some ideas.
We are doing a 3 hour snowmobile tour. The vendor has a protection plan that costs 30 dollars per snowmobile that limits our out of pocket to maximum 1500 in damage. I’m looking for insurance that would be less than 1500 out of pocket for damage. Is there any such thing?
I’ve tried adjusting the idle screw and it only helped a bit. Won’t start unless I give it gas. The. It doesn’t wanna take off. And immediately dies if I let off the gas
Has anyone used spray on or roll on bedliner on their trailer floor? How does it hold up? I'm thinking about coating my trailer floor with it.
I moved to Finland this week. Last February I was there on holiday and fell in love with this snowmobile. My cousin sold it to me. I know it's performance is over the top 'for a girl' but I am used to fast cars and motorcycles already. It is one of the reasons I moved to Finland in the first place. Expect a lot of pictures from this amazing machine in the future.
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their shocks on their adrenaline and to which shocks? Or if someone could recommend which ones to go with? Currently looking at a XRS and an Adrenaline model, I was looking at an X but it sold. Not seeing any options online besides Fox QS3 and a set all around is more than upgrading to XRS. Any info is appreciated
I live in Alaska, and we love to ride, we live for it, which is why it’s a real jab in the gut that we got a lot of snow last week. Let me explain. We ride on frozen lakes, that’s the primary sled hotspot, but because we got 11inches of snow before the lakes froze completely, we are on the edges of our seats waiting to see if the lakes will freeze. Because as anyone knows, snow insulates, and that means the water under the thin layer of ice is now insulated, harder to freeze. This aggravates me, as well as everyone I know.
This small Crack is in the upper portion of the oil tank of a Renegade 800. The sled is only used for ice fishing and some light trail and off trail riding (maybe 200 miles/year). Would you repair or replace? Obviously replacing is ideal, but could a repair be sufficient? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I have a 2010 Ski-Doo Renegade 800r (P TEK) and the idle sounds sort of pingy, sporadically as heard in the video. Is this just a normal sound, and just the resonance through the muffler and maybe a slight rattle? I have very little experience with 2-stroke vehicles, so I'm clueless. This was also seconds after a "cold start (60*F)" Thanks in advance.
Steve Martin and I got out for a ride yesterday here in Utah
Recently bought a 1995 polaris super sport, ran when bought. Now when I get it started (starts hard) it won't idle well and it's very slow reving up. Took plugs out and the spark is very hard to see(weak), if I take plugs out and pull very hard I get a little spark, if I pull it over at a regular pull speed practically nothing. Tested the stator to the attached chart. BRN/W to BLK/R is 157 ohms. Y/R, BRN, W to ground are all almost zero (all under 1.5 ohms). Y to Y/R is 8-10 Ohms. (Should be zero) is this enough to worry about and replace the stator or is it probably the CDI. Don't want to put a lot of money into this sled and don't want to replace the stator when it's the CDI or vise versa. Any help is appreciated! (Yes tested plugs plugs are ok and cut some cable off spark plug lead and cleaned spark plug boots tried unplugging key to. Should I try unplugging kill switch?) Edit:I'm not sure how to add pictures to my post but if you PM me I can send you the Wiring diagram I was using for ohms values.
I have a 90s Yamaha, was wondering if it’s even remotely possible to wheelie it. I’ve done wheelies on newer machines, but I just can’t seem to get my sled to pop the skis up. And yes I’m open to people roasting me for having an old sled.
New to me old sled with only 1000 miles. Started and ran seemingly fine yesterday. Absolutely no changes, went out today to move it to its parking spot and it will start and sputter for a few seconds but then shut off. I’m good with small engines but have never owned a sled before. It seems like even if I try blipping the throttle as I start it nothing happens. Any suggestions on where to start? I just took the battery off the charger and put it in this morning

Looking to make my own wondering what material is used in plastic skis any ideas?
I just purchased ice scratchers and wondering where I should mount them. It seems like I don’t have very many sports and don’t want them too far back. I was wondering if anyone has mounted them from above or if that would work as well.
These are the ones I got. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0859354M3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Wife and I are looking for a sled that will 100% only be used for Ice fishing.. we will be pulling a 2 person flip over shanty, we are both reasonably sized people (I am 185 pounds she is around 155) ..
we have the opportunity to buy one on Marketplace with only 450 miles for around 1500 bucks .. heated grips , Reverse, studded track.. only negative to me is it is ONLY PULL Start, and relativly small at only 370cc.. I can't believe they would sell a sled that wouldn't function at all at 370cc .. anyone with experience with a sled like this?
