YouTube is not easy. It’s also not an overnight success. You need to put in the effort to get to where you want to be.
This isn’t a dumping grounds for your videos to hopefully get a few extra views.
Please read the rules before posting. We are in this together, and together we can flourish.
r/SmallYoutubers is a place where youtubers who think they don't have the views/subscribers they deserve post their videos here to be seen by people like you. If you post something here it would also be nice to view other peoples things. If you know anyone who is having troubles with youtube send them here for help. have a nice day redditors :D
IF YOUR POST IS REMOVED/DOESNT SHOW UP
Reddit sends posts to the subreddit's spam folder if too many are posted at a time. I try and keep up with these, and approve what videos I see. Give me some time to get to them :D
but if its been about a day, then send a message, I might have missed a video.

Hey everyone,
I started on YouTube about four years ago and I just reached 100,000 subscribers. So, I never went viral and never had a huge hit. However, I'm making most of my living on YouTube now. I'm not quite ready to quit the day job, but I'm probably within a year of being able to do it.
Everybody always tells you that you need to post often and be consistent. If you do that, goes the promise, you'll be successful.
Here's the thing. It's true. And it's really the only thing you need to do.
I tried all the different "hacks" to get my channel to grow. None of them worked for me. The only thing that did was posting consistently.
I now livestream every weeknight at 7:30 p.m. Rain or shine, I'm there. I've always got something to show my viewers. I encourage them to chat with me and I include some of their chats in the stream.
That's it. That's what it took to be successful.
Here's my channel in case you want to check that I'm telling the truth: https://youtube.com/@GavinFish.
Now, go out there are post, post, post! Do it every day. Do it at the same time every day. You'll be successful.
Recently ive been posting almost everyday. But I get a small amount of views one video has about 8k views and another has 1.7k
Hey guys. I'm here to say it. The analytics make no difference in shorts viewership. Further, I think the views are completely arbitrary. Example: I posted a short 3 days ago. 120% avd, 82% vvsa. Slowly climbed to 3k views where it petered out. The next short I posted ROCKETED to 13k views. 4k+ views per hour and then PROMPTLY stopped. I mean like 70-80 views/min to 0 instantly. I cannot believe this is normal behavior. Also, I have many stuck right at 13k views. This has to be a "limit" they've set on my channel. Have any of you experienced the same?
I've been trying to make regular uploads
Not in the matter of inputting multiple videos a day, but if the content is inconsistent with what is produced. I stream when I can with a somewhat schedule in place, but for my YouTube, I have a game channel and want to upload history videos, too. However, for that, I want to know if it would be better to do a separate channel altogether to help growth or would multiple content be fine on one channel?
I have this old channel from 14yrs ago There were videos that did 500k views I forgot the email everything I only have the channel name is there a way to get it back?
This is the most amount of impressions on a video I've had, way more than previous videos and it's only been up about an houror so. Trying to figure out why it stopped pushing my video suddenly. Any tips?
I have so many reels from my IG socials that I could probably post one a day for nearly a year 😂
But they have that IG stamp on it because I used to save them after I posted them..
Does anyone if that matters? Or is there a way to download it without the ig stamp on it?
I’m not really getting huge views on videos, but subscriber feedback had been very positive which is always nice.
Hey everyone! Some context, I was a graphic designer for 3 years and have had several YouTube channels spanning over the past 14 years but this is the first video I am “happy” with, at least in terms of quality of video, sound and editing as I’ve been working at upgrading these things as I go along.
What do I need help with? I can’t seem to get any feedback on the video other than “it’s good” etc but watch time retention says otherwise, I’m at a point now where I’m struggling to improve, looking for any form of constructive criticism, the time would be deeply appreciated!
Is it okay to take a specific clip from my long form video to post them as shorts video? I know that youtube doesn't like reused content, but does this pass? My long form video is longer compilation of 10 minutes and I want to post a 15 second clip from it.
Do you guys have any general experience reposting any content but with a different edit or different length video? Does it affect your channel?
