My band Canopy released an EP earlier this year and finally got our first ever vinyl with a label that are local to Atlanta, called Terminus Hate City. THC are having a sale today.
Maybe some folks here would be into grabbing a copy for a good deal? Just wanted to get the word out about this sale! There are other great bands on the label too so there's something for everyone here.
Here's the site for the sale: https://www.terminushatecity.com/shop
And here's a link to the EP on Bandcamp: https://canopy1.bandcamp.com/album/empty-light

I'd like to hear yall opinions
need recommendations for bands that mix slow into sudden fast punky d beat parts.
Okay, so this is kind of an odd request because I have my own personal definition of what "raw" sludge is.
To me, raw sludge is a sorta pseudo/unofficial subgenre of sludge that is sorta the sludge equivalent to raw black metal. It takes the influences from early EHG/Iron Monkey/Grief, upping the use of feedback and dissonance, even harsh noise sometimes too, mixing it with influences from Meth Drinker & Toadliquor. The guitar tone tends to be really muddy and absurdly downtuned even for sludge standards, with extremely poor and often intentionally butchered production quality, with little to no melody at all with the entire purpose being to sound as crushing as possible.
I don't really have a lot of bands to base this of off, but some I think count would be Hollow Corpse, Asphalt, Religious Observance, Phyllomedusa's Harsh Times at Sludgemont High album and kind of Primitive Man to an extent? but I would say PM is more of an influence on the style rather than being a part of it since they're kind of their own thing.

Today is the release date for our sophomore album, a ghastly mixture of crust, death/black metal and sludge. Out now on vinyl with minorobscur (Ger) and Sleeping Church (Fra). In Finland it's available from us, Morbid Cellar and Iron Corpse distros.
Play loud and feel bad.
Stupidly underrated
Pure EHG, Iron Monkey worship. Solid.
Great band, great song
