i’m going to the brooklyn paramount show and was wondering what time people usually line up for them, specifically nyc. i want to plan accordingly
These guys are legit and very similar to slowdive…one of the better dream pop bands I’ve heard this year.

Siriusxm played such an emotionally devastating of Dagger performed by Soccer Mommy a little while ago. I actually cried. Thinking about it afterward made me want to cry more, still does. It was on the XMU station and they said it's a SiriusXM exclusive from a session she did with them. The way she let her acoustic guitar ring out and her raw, unedited voice. She was really in her element.
Has anyone else heard this? Is it just me that feels this way? The original is already sad but damn, this really hit me. I'm gonna see if I find it on YouTube or something later.
My fav is "catch the breeze", I wanna get it tattooed on my arm
This song is beautiful. Might even say perfect. It’s been my favorite Slowdive song for the past 9 months and I still can’t get over how good it is. This song just encapsulates so many emotions.I’m sure most of you have heard this song but if not please give it a listen. Everything about it is amazing from the drums to the vocals. The whole self titled album is amazing one of my favorites of all time.
My fav Slowdive song, discovered years ago and take me to travel, grey and cold days. Dreamy voice is brilliant, only bad thing it's ends...
Everything Is Alive is better
I'm looking for songs with the crying/weeping sound of guitar Like the one in min 2:48 of "40 days" and 1:40 of "when the sun hits"... I don't mind songs from other bands as well
What are the best*
Currently working on a playlist so I can put in the background and sleep to. Wanted to know people’s opinions. (I love the entirety of pygmalion, it puts me in a trance like state every time I listen to it)
To me andalucia plays is the cornerstone of the album, there are even two songs named after lyrics from it:
prayer remembered: "And you are the heart, the prayer I remember"
chained to a cloud: "chained to the clouds"
I've seen some people complaining that you can clearly listen to the vocals, but I think that's great because it creates an intimate and soothing vibe.
As the Title says, i had a dream about Slowdive, it was more of a nightmare actually.
So, the dream goes: the band was playing When the sun Hits in a field and there were these almost zombie looking people going towards them, and i could see some children in the distance, watching them play, and they ran away into a forest.
The look feel of the dream was almost like a VHS tape.
Then later, i see the children, older now, saying that they should go back where they were playing, and thats where the nightmare starts to take place.
Long story short, the band are zombies and they kill the children.
In the part where they were playing the song, they looked very ragged and tired.
Thats my dream.
got a coupon code for an extra $20 in concert cash and I’m deciding on whether or not I should go to a show. right now im in between this show and another but slowdive is like $10 more expensive. Can anyone let me know what theyre like live? I’m really tempted as it’s night 2 of a 2 show run in my state
