Hey! This is a long shot, but last night at the portland maine show you were wearing a blue flannel and had blonde mullet-y hair. I was standing next to you for slowdive's set, and was wearing a striped sweater with a beanie. You seem like a really cool person, I'd love to talk about music with you!
Was at the Portland show and noticed a lot of the older tunes were played at almost 1.5x speed, namely souvlaki space station (not so much), Allison (hyper speed) and When the Sun Hits. I don’t remember this being the case when I saw them last in Boston back in 2014.
That is all.
Just letting everyone know that the complete 1/31/25 show @ MASS MoCA is on my YouTube channel. Here's the link:

Headed to the show solo. Anyone want to pregame at DTL?
Spotted him after the show. Very cool. They switched the setlist up a bit tonight at Mass MOCA
why haven’t they just like put it on themselves tho im curious it’s deadass my favorite from them
Last song on Souvlaki disc 2. Dreamy ambient-esque song with vocals from rachel.
Who's bringing the infinite reverb today?! I came across a deal for Souvlaki on vinyl for £22.64 with code RWJAN10, seems like a steal compared to what I’ve seen around and delivery is free if you are also in the UK. Thought I’d do the honourable thing and pass it along in case anyone’s looking for a copy!
Hello - I’m curious if Slowdive ever talked about Hüsker Dü and/or cited them as an influence. Haven’t found anything that confirmed it, but I do know that Slowdive’s members were really into/outright inspired by bands such as Sonic Youth, the Cure, Cocteau Twins & the Jesus and Mary Chain (who were all contemporaries of Hüsker Dü at some point during the 80s).
You could group Hüsker Dü into that “80s alternative music” spectrum with the other 80s bands that I listed as well. And I think that it’s very likely to at least know Hüsker Dü’s name if you enjoy Sonic Youth for example.
It helps that even My Bloody Valentine was inspired by the Hüskers.
Just wondering if Slowdive knew anything about the Hüskers.
Hey there. I would like to ask you, bc I want to go to Slowdive's concert in Germany but I live in Greece, is there any meet up group or something?
Hey, I really wanna go to the concert that is gonna be located in Germany. I just don't have anyone to join me. Do you maybe know where can I find a venue, group of people that will go?
They've resumed playing this live as of Nov 24
I was slow to jump on the Slowdive bandwagon (!! slow! band!) and decided last minute against going to the Garage gig because at the time I only knew/loved one song (Alison) (despite being quite the MBV and Ride fan). I skipped LP4 gigs and only got into them after the tour finished, predominantly thanks to a friend's Spotify most played of the year playlist when it was too late. I had assumed it was a mediocre reunion, not appreciating they'd bucked the trend
this tour I've seen them 6 times so far, and one time I got into the afterparty, commenting to the tech - friend of a friend who gave me access - that this song was sorely missing off the playlist. he agreed. Spent a little time chatting to Nick but didn't quite mention it to him (although my compliment of them being my 2nd fave band after the one tattooed on my arm was seen more as a dig than admiration)
can't express my joy at its return to the live setlist. I've got one more show of the UK shows left (brixton 10th April) and this will be one of the most special live performances ever for me!
(if you're at this gig, you can message me as I've met up with some fans for past gigs)
Hi, my friend recorded audio of the Bronson Centre concert, and I’m gathering videos to make a multicam video out of it. If anyone has any, id be very thankful if you could send them over.
Hello!
I was wondering if the quality of the Slowdive tour T-shirt merch is good. I know there's a list of cities in the back, does it hold its print after some washes? I want to know this because 55 CAD for a T-shirt is expensive and I really hesitate to buy it. Yes I want to support the band, which is my favorite band of all time, but if the T-shirt quality is bad it would make me very sad.
Who is coming to the Montreal show? I need to wait for the 6 AM bus after the concert, and I’m wondering what everyone is up to after the concert
lol
