Im just wondering about peoples options on a Spensa v Kaladin(stormlight) fight. Who do you think would win? Why?
So first mistborn done and now stormlight. I have the new book preordered. Should skyward be the next? Where do yall rank skyward?
Iβve heard about this but Iβm unclear on whether itβs a #5 or just another side story like Hypertheif and whatnot. Help?
Is Detritus a delver corpse? Spensa says the training maze reminds her of some of the caverns on Detritus. And she thinks the maze is a delver corpse.
Can anyone tell me what happened to Morriumur?
I thought thier ceremony to be remade was interrupted... Then I don't remember ever seeing them again? They're not is Cytoinc or Defiant. Did I just completely miss something?
Before I begin I'd like to say I know the response will be "RAFO" and I intend to, I just like to get my thoughts out.
So I'm currently on page 156 of Starsight and I've got a few things to say.
1: Dear God I love the Kitsen.
2: The Dione are... so weird.
3: yes I know RAFO but this isn't really a spoiler, do we ever jump back to Alanik or Jorgen while Spensa is on her mission? I'm REALLY curious what's going on back on detritus with her.
4:I know we're being TOLD this explicitly by Brando but: there's CLEARLY more to the superiority than they want to let on.
5: The Kitsen are adorable!!!!
I don't want spoilers or anything I just need to vent. So her father heard the stars, went up, and then came back down... intent on killing his own flight... whaaaaat?! What is this "defect" Ironsides is so concerned about. Obviously it has something to do with hearing the stars. I'm so confused and I need answers.
Also an update to my previous post here about not disliking Jorgan all that much: I like how they are slowly opening up to each other and being less of a pain in the ass to each other.
I don't dislike Jerkface so far, I'm only about a third of the way through skyward. Sure he was overzealous and controlling on the first day of class but he just wanted to make a good impression for his instructor. Spensa gets all pissy when he says she needs an attitude adjustment when she was about to compliment him, but she started out by calling him jerkface! Honestly if she wasn't so antagonistic of the personified rich boy trope I don't think he would be so bad.
I honestly have high hopes for their relationship if they can just get past this initial childishness.

Does anyone else know anymore so i can make a playlist??
I want to cosplay as Spensa for Halloween, but I can't figure out what her helmet looks like. I'm imagining something similar to a motorcycle helmet, but photos point towards something else. Also, where could I find a good jumpsuit/spacesuit like hers?
Is it just me or did it feel like Spensa and Hurl would have made a really great couple? I feel like they had a way more natural relationship than Spin has with Jerkface. I haven't seen anyone talking about this (though I may just be uninformed) and feel like it is a missed opportunity.
Not to mention that when Spensa was listing off all the characters who were in danger at Starsight because of her having sent the Delver there, I was literally yelling at my phone "And M-Bot!?!?! Are you seriously forgetting about M-Bot, Spensa????" until she finally mentioned him and Doom Slug after everyone else who she had basically only just met... πππ I really couldn't blame M-Bot for being upset with her after that, although his near fatality really pushed my own emotions to their breaking point.
I've other criticisms I could go into, but as mentioned in my title, I think Starsight just felt too random, unexpected, and different to really feel like a strong sequel to Skyward. Kind of like a filler arc for an anime or TV show where there's not enough budget for the original beloved characters to be present all season, so they only make brief cameos whilst a new cast of previously unknown characters take over. In fact, if this were a TV show or live action movie, Spensa herself would essentially be a cameo for most of the story as a new actress would be cast to portray Alanik for practically the entire time.
Will be waiting for my next free Audible credit on September 3rd to purchase Cytonic, but due to kind of spoiling myself by looking up M-Bot's fate and if he ever regains ship-form, I'm worried I may not like this 3rd Book as much either.
