HA/2H Warrior approaching level 40. What’s next for me?

I managed to beat restartitis! My character is currently level 37, with no end in sight so far

I just reached 100 Smithing (for tempering enchanted gear mostly. I am spec’d as high as Ebony however.)

Heavy Armor, 2H, Speech are my main offensive abilities (using shouts for range instead of archery). I’m also spec’d into Block and Alteration (for magic res).

I’m starting to build up the Aetherium set, but those dwarven dungeons are still tough. Falmer are hard to deal with in large groups, even with paralysis res.

I’m playing on base Requiem, with Fozars. Would love to hear from my other fellow melee purists about what they do, and look for, in the late game.

I'm curious what the community thinks of Standing Stone selection for a Frieren inspired character.

I'm torn between The Apprentice and The Atronach. The Atronach seems like it would be more fitting given the mass amount of mana it gives but I'm concerned the hit to mana regen might be too onerous so I thought The Apprentice with its high mana regen might be a good substitute to simulate high amounts of mana. And I wanted to pose that question here because, even though I've played with Requiem since before SE was a thing, I've never gotten very far into a Requiem playthrough so I'm not overly familiar with how to offset the permanent drawbacks of a chosen Standing Stone.

Requiem 5.4.5 and Precision?

Hello,

Been troubleshooting my modlist removing crashes, etc and thought it good. Been playing new game since yesterday and was able to kill animals all day long with melee, range and magic.

However, npcs COULD NOT take any damage no matter how close during melee damage. MoreHud and/or TrueHud(not sure which one does it atm) tell me damage output.

Literally no damage registered using melee against npcs or me the player. Only ranged or magic would do any damage. At first I thought maybe perk or armor? But the more I played the more I was convinced this was not normal.

Reloaded my base requiem profile in MO2 and confirmed no issues with Requiem and started checking other mods.

I was trying to use precision, locational damage framework and wounds - some improvements to have location specific wounds instead of random wounds occur. Removed these three mods, reran nemesis and reqtificator and no issues on a test character.

Anyone else run into this issue before??

*Edit: I shouldve known there was an issue though. Helgen intro was impossible with all NPCs in perpetual combat taking and receiving no damage. It was hilarious and awful at the same time.

Recommended Start for a mage?

Hi all, love the balance of Requiem so far. As a Breton Alteration/Conjuration mage I’m wondering what are some good low level quests or areas to go to?

I know I need to train and gather some resources before I can hold my own. Any advice?

Requiem For The Indifferent crashes the game when patching mods made on 1.6.1130

I guess it's not set up to patch those. Everytime I patch a mod that was built on 1.6.1130, without exception, it crashes the game. Yes, I have BEES. No, it doesn't work, because it makes no sense for it to fix something on a completely unrelated patcher. I've noticed this when I first tried to patch Creation Club mods on an otherwise clean load order. Crash. Has ANYONE found a fix for this? Requiem literally makes the game for me and I REALLY don't want to have to use Simonrim. (It's not bad, but Requiem is a lot more of my taste.) My gsme is downgraded to 1.5.97

Giants in Requiem

Ok, first off, I use Requiem as a base and edit to my tastes, for example, I gave all the playable races more starting HP/Stamina/Magicka but you only get 2 stat points a level. I edited a bunch of enemies to have more hp/damage. etc etc. So, I like my games hard, but I think the requiem giants are a bit much. Is it possible to survive a hit? Heavy armor, high health char with health buffs (enchants beef stew, shrine buff), doesn't matter. Always one shot with a backhand. Yes, I can beat them and have, but it's tiresome when ONE slip up and a backhand = dead.

I looked at them in the editor, they only do the default Skyrim 60 unarmed. They have 75 armor pen, I tried lowering that, still one shot. Do they have some kind of magic effect or script to just one shot any character? I think giants should be strong, as I have said, I buffed other enemies. But I think Giants go a bit too far. Really they are just tall and skinny. A little backhand slap shouldn't one shot a guy in heavy armor with + health enchants. A new character, sure, but I can't seem to reach the threshold to tank them.

I can't think of any mod conflict, I don't have anything that effects giants except Requiem. Any ideas?

EDIT: ok, I spawned myself items of "peerless health" and higher grade armor. I can survive one hit, that's good enough, so i know it CAN be done with the right gear. That said, what is causing him to hit so hard? Again, even if he had 100% armor pen, his unarmed damage is only 60 in Requiem. Keep in mind, my issue is his punch is insane, I think a club hit should be a 1 shot. I'd like to make a fair edit, like maybe make him a bit faster, or have more reach, maybe even more HP but not such insane unarmed damage. Thanks.

Skyrim closing after opening, not even crash logs showing

Trying to get back into requiem after a couple of years break, using a new pc.
Upgraded skyrim to special edition, and got the anniversary edition upgrade, installed requiem and 3bftweaks and their masters/bugfixes.
For some reason, using my mod list, Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch and Requiem are incompatible; Having both of them enabled stops the game from launching. Having either one of them enabled with the rest of the mod list works just fine.
Installation was done correctly, and reqtificator didnt give any errors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ebony Warrior

Just like he said "You are no match for me".

My current playthrough is a Reachman elemental mage (Destro-Alteration). The combo I use is Lightning Cascade + Flame Vortex/Incinerate (Noxcrab's Magic Redone) and the entire combo doesn't even get his health down to like 95% of his entire health bar. But he one-shotted me and he is REALLY fast I have hard time kiting him.

Maybe I'll give it a try again when I have annihilation spells but as it stands now, I'll just ignore his existence. This Lightning Cascade + fire spell kills dragons in like 20 sec but it doesn't so much as graze Ebony Warrior. I'll just ignore him.

It's more realistic to have unbeatable opponents than having everything killable after all. It's a nice touch.

Edit: Maybe I'll try beating him again in my werewolf shaman playthrough.

Temporary weapon enchants mod

Has anyone found a mod for giving temporary weapon enchants that plays nice with Requiem?

I’d love the idea of just carrying one weapon that can be temporarily enchanted with fire to deal with the undead or shock to deal with dwarven machines etc but have never really found one.

If not it may be something I try to myself, so sub question I guess, anyone have any good tutorials for getting started with scripting? I know my way ish around the ck and I’m handy enough with JavaScript, typescript, python etc but wouldn’t call myself an expert or anything.

Where to train up my skills in early game?

I know most will recommend Skill trainers, but are there any enemies I can actually train these on naturally?

Realistically I will understand if I need to pay for some training first. You wouldn’t go out fighting without some skill in it first.

But what are other things I should do in the early game? I’m playing a Breton Mage stereotype character for now if that helps.

Permenantly Overencumbered.

This is an issue i’ve seen talked about before but nothing seems to be working. Basically, I leveled up and when I exited the level up menu I was permanently over encumbered (as in, I can’t run) and most folks say that the issue fixes itself after 10-15 seconds but i’ve waited for a minute and it’s still not fixed. I also heard that opened the inventory fixes it but I did that too and nothing worked (i’m using SkyrimSouls btw). I also have Immersive Equipment Display, which I heard nay cause issues.

Can anyone suggest a fix?

Advice for a vampire playthrough

I understand the vampires in Requiem are very powerful. Does this also apply if you become one? How different is vampire gameplay compared to vanilla?

Originally, I intended to use Sacrosanct along with its patch (found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62406), but after reading a few reddit posts it seems like this might be discouraged, possibly because the abilities added by Sacrosanct are to weak, and it doesn't sound like the patch does any balancing. Would anyone who plays with Sacrosanct and its patch be willing to share their experience?

I'm finally taking the plunge into Requiem, and have a few questions

After watching some of the Requiem streamers for a while, I've become very attracted to the heavier RP elements that the mod offers. Before I really start the process, I had a few questions

Will Requiem run fine on 1.5.97?

I know this is a controversial question in the modding landscape, and I don't want this to become the focus of the post. I have absolutely no problem with anyone keeping their Skyrim on the newest version, and am happy if they are happy.

Any highly suggested addon mods for Requiem for things like balancing, perks, creatures, magic, etc?

Common mistakes that a new Requiem user might make while setting up the mod list?

Any and all opinions are very much appreciated

Worth getting some restoration magic as a knight build?

Hello, I've been playing a knight build recently and I'm about level 20. Heavy armor, two handed and block are my main skills, I also have some perks in marksman because I needed some help from crossbows in the beginning but now I don't really have much use for them. Also playing as a nord with the lady stone so my magic is abysmally low. But I thought maybe I should get just the novice perks for restoration and ofc the heavy armor spell perk. Thoughts? Is it worth or will it just dilute my build?

3Tweaks Nightblade build help

I'm wanting to make a character focused around 1h/Sneak/illusion & Alteration as the core skills.

I'm unsure of what race to go for this was leaning towards Dunmer but any advice is appreciated. Same with the standing stone Shadow looks really good for sneak characters but would something like apprentice work better for a hybrid character?

Final question is should I go robes or LA? Thank you for reading any tips are appreciated.

New Requiem player

Hi all, I’ve just discovered requiem and am excited to play. I’ve selected a few mods to make the game more immersive, such as Realistic needs, cold management, and keep it clean so I can get nice and clean.

I’ve also selected a few AI improvements: Realistic AI detection AI overhaul Mortal Enemies

Now I’m keen to pick one combat mod, either precision, Wildcat or something else. Any advice?

How to properly deal with undead as an archer?

I am quite new to requiem being said.

I tried a few builds now all till lvl 20ish.

I got a destruction mage that skilled pyromancy for the sole purpose of dealing with them.

I got a Conjuration Mage that just uses soul magic and fire atronachs.

2 Handed warrior that just pummels them to death.

I also have a sneak archer, a thief, and a regular ranger. All of them cant deal with undead at the same level as the other builds as for example draugr seem to take next to no damage from slashing or piercing weapons.

Silver Arrows / Bolts seem to do jack Sh*t, elemental fire arrows also aint much help. Poisons which just instakill living targets cant be used on undeads.

What do you guys suggest vs those enemies?

Starting out as a mage

Recently decided to start a new playthrough, going for a Breton Mage, and I needed help with some tips to get started since I'm a bit lost on what I should do next.

First off, I already played Requiem a few times, so I know that keeping a healthy stock of potions is good, I also have Uthgerd as a follower and I like to keep followers around since I know they are pretty useful. When I do my warrior playthroughs I get a good feeling of the things I should do next since I'm familiar with the overall proggression, not so much with a mage.

So currently, my RP is that he's a young nobleman from High Rock, stuck-up, snobby brat, he's got plenty of money to start with, but is unable to get to Winterhold where he wants to study (I house-ruled that the roads are too dangerous and carriages won't cross into Stormcloak territory, so he needs to go on foot by himself)

I have the whole Imperial side of the map available, is there some easy-to-get equipment or gear I should acquire first to start the early game? Some important spells? Whatever? I already got a few potions, a silver dagger and a robe with +magicka regen, but pretty much nothing else.

Bash Patch Removal

I don't know what have I done... I tried to use wrye bash to patch the game, but then started new game and it turned out incompatible with it. So, I decided to disabled bash patch. But it still says I have to delete leveled list for bash patch

I deleted the patch, still the same. I deleted ini files and all bash settings from My games/Skyrim/, still th same. I deleted wrye bash, and it still says it to me!

I don't know how to actually delete bash patch and its settings, I ran reqtificator after every move I discribed above. What do I need to do? Please tell me I don't have to reinstall my game with 550 perfectly working mods....

Long time no Requiem, help?

Its been awhile since I played Requiem. Since 1.9.4.x days and early 2.x days. I can see alot has changed mainly with it now being on SSE.

Ive recently gotten a gaming laptop to replace my 14 year old desktop so Im wanting to play Requiem again. Ive been playing Skyrim on xbox series x which has been fun but alot of mods I was using are gone now with the forced updates.

Soooo returning to Requiem is where I am most comfortable with. Do I need the Anniversary upgrade? I never got it and just have SSE along with LE versions.

Also, is latest the recommended for most patches etc? I mainly want Requiem base with graphics added initially so I can see what I might want to add in after unless theres some general recommendations?

Appreciate any and all insights from this lovely community that frankly I have missed.

Your load order could not be verified. The mod 'Requiem.esp' has missing masters: Disabled Mods (file found, but not activated) • ccbgssse001-fish.esm

(using version 1.5.97)

So the error message in the title is the reason i'm posting, reqtificator seems to think the fishing mod is disabled? I tried putting the files in a mod, which satisfies reqtificator but requiem just causes to game to crash on start up then. This happens even with every other mod disabled so i am kind of confused as to what exactly the issue is... i've noticed that the other creation club content is flagged with FE in the load order while the fish.esm isn't so maybe that's it`? Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help me.

EDIT: so if anyone in the future has the same problem with the crash on start up, just reinstall the game completely. Ordinator was having the exact same issues and so was path of sorcery. I suspect that my Skyrim install was somehow the problem, causing mods that modify the perk/skill tree to crash.

Yet another Requiem mod list request - for April 2024

I recently tried upgrading my Skyrim SE to the latest version, 1.6.1170.0, plus upgrading my (263) mods. This resulted in a mess, with Requiem, SSE Engine fixes and SkyUI all misbehaving. Disabling SSE engine fixes seems to fix some of the issues but Requiem still won't work. So the solution is to find the latest and best requiem mod list for April 2024 :)
